6. Does that mean, though Groetus was once a human in your homebrew campaign, in Golarion that is not canon anymore?

7. I thought the caster levels of Sihedron and Dancing Hut are 25 and 30 because the authors didn't know Paizo will never publish epic rules. Anyway, it seems that no mortal can rach the 21st elvel. So if you can take a time machine and go back to 2012, would you make sure the caster level of these two items would be 20th?

8. If a wizard 20/archmage 10 character makes a magic item, would its caster level still be 20?

9. I really wished Paizo include epic spell like rules for mythic characters. Looks like Paizo doesn't want to that. What do you think about epic spells? Do you think the epic spells in 3.5 were too powerful that it would break the balance of the game seriously? In other words, do you think epic spells are too powerful for mythic archmages to use? Even for super powerful mythic characters or demigods?

10. I personally thought that the population of several countries of the Inner Sea region would be:
Cheliax: 15,000,000
Taldor: 10,000,000
Andoran 5,000,000
Galt 2,000,000

Are my estimations too high? Or too low?

6) Until we make it canon it's not canon.

7) Nope. They're that because the game needs to be able to provide challenges beyond the limit of a PC so that those PCs at their limits can be challenged. I wouldn't change it. They're fine at higher caster levels.

8) Yes, unless the GM bends/breaks rules for story reasons.

9) Sorry, not interested.

10) EDIT (now that I'm not rushing off to a meeting): We haven't printed population figures for nations, since there's not much of a game mechanic reason to have such numbers.

The flying polyp action there predates humanity. So no, they were not responsible. Not directly, in any event.

Just checking, are you using term "pantheist"("all of reality is same as divine/everything is part of all-encompassing god") instead of "polytheist"(worship of multiple deities) because its what Paizo used in Faiths & Philosophies and you want to be consistent terminology wise? .-. I'm confused

Yes. Sorry that confuses you, but we've mis-used those terms in print enough by this point that it's more or less the way it is for us. The fact that we've done so should have answered itself, but if you were just jumping on a chance to try to point out an error, it's something I'm aware of but have no power to correct at this time.

The term "pantheist" does have an obscure definition of "worship ALL the gods".

Good. Now hopefully CorvusMask accepts that and lets it go.

This October, I'm looking forward to Shin Godzilla, Phantasm Ravager, Rings, and against my better judgement, the Ouija sequel since it's directed by a great director.

No. I wish there were more Pathfinder customers like you so we could justifiably do more content-heavy non-rules-heavy products like this without (unfortunately legitimately) worrying that a lack of new player options would make such a product a slow seller.

James, Erik and Lisa have both said that you're the only person who could create the Sandpoint Box.
Have you given any thought to what you would want to include? Any teasers?

I've given a LOT of thought to a product like this, in part because I ran a multi-year campaign set in Sandpoint that generated a lot of ideas and content.

Not gonna do any teasers because I'm pretty sure it'll never happen, given its track record of false starts, and I'm kinda tired of thinking about it only to have to shelve it again and again. If it ever DOES go on the schedule for real and stays there (be it a box or a book or whatever), then once Paizo has paid money for art and started to lay the product out and it's in editing I'll be sure it's not going to fade away and at that point I will consider teasers.

Right now, it's too frustrating to think about is all.

Does the Church of Sarenrae have sacred courtesans like the Church of Calistria? Or does it depend on where her temples are located?

Have you ever thought about creating a deity like Eilistraee (about the only good drow goddess in the Forgotten Realms) for Golarion, or do you think it's better for dark elves to stay as villains and never be good guys? BTW, Eilistraee is alive again and is back!

What other nations does Andoran hate, besides the ones that allow slavery?

The church of Sarenrae doesn't have an issue with courtesans, but they do not have an order of sacred courtesans in the church itself; that's not something that's part of the faith of a goddess of the sun, healing, honesty, and redemption.

In fact, Sarenrae IS my version of Eilistraee. She's a sun goddess rather than a moon goddess, but otherwise the similarities between the two deities have always, I've felt, been quite obvious.

Good to hear Eilisatree is back, but in my mind, she never left, so there's that.

Andoran doesn't really "hate" nations. They oppose slavery and thus oppose nations like Cheliax, and they fight for goodness and freedom, but they're not hatemongers.

Have I already asked who came up with Druma?

I ask because I find it the most baffling and difficult to use portion of the Inner Sea, and I'm curious about the basic intent behind it.

I take it then you weren't particularly fond of Ellistrae's act of self-sacrifice as it was written in the Drow Series? For me it brought out the greatest difference between her and her mother, that of Lolth being so self-centered that she'd never saw her daughter's act coming.

Have you noticed the new WOW mechanic where foes scale to your level? If you're fighting the same mob as level 110 and your comrade is level 100, it'll be a level 100 monster to him and 110 to you. It was "public betaed" during the pre-expansion Demon Invasions.

Do you have a favorite transmog for your weapon? I use the Ironfeaather bow skin for the artifact gun Titanstrike. I picked the original up in the Kaldorei past time quest, and I've just noticed that it's the same bow model that Tyrande uses.

I've noticed that they don't separate zones by level, which is too bad.

I don't have a favorite yet. Bone bow is likely to be in the top few choices I guess, but I'm also fond of Mandokir's Sting. There's a few others I like but I've not played enough to remember what they were.

The zone's aren't separated by level, but the upside is that they're always relevant. If you do quests at Azuna at level 110, the rewards will be level appropriate, the beauty is that you can start your story at any zone you want. Even better is that when you're world questing you can pair up with anyone at any level.

3. Do you like Andoran? Well, I like it, but it seems that the nation is a bit anachronistic and thus doesn't blend well with other nations. What do you think?

You can't expect to be antagonistic or nit-picky on the internet and not be called on it now and then. And if it is indeed "enough of that" you perhaps should have not mentioned it at all and simply asked your random question.

Azlant is inspired by all SORTS of "ancient precursor civilizaions." Atlantis is the most famous one, but there are others from real-world mythology and stories and even more from fiction. You'd have to ask Erik for the full list, though.

Belltrap wrote:

I do not. Slavery is lawful in plenty of regions in Golarion and in history/modern real world.

Law is NOT good or evil. It can be influenced by good and evil, but it in and of itself has no hard-wired good or evil elements. Same with chaos.

The slavery subdomain should never be granted to a lawful good faith, though. And I'd rather it never be granted to a lawful neutral faith. If I have my way, it's a lawful evil faith option only.

In fact, I'm the one that introduced the Slavery domain into the game in the first place; it first appeared in Goblins of Golarion, where it was pretty obviously a choice built for evil worshipers of Lawful Evil deities. In this case, it's very much a hobgoblin thing.

In the wider reach of the world, yeah... it's a Lawful subdomain for lawful evil characters.

1) The concept of a deity being "weak" is not necessarily correct. Even the least powerful of the deities has no stat block, and as a result exists purely in the realm of story, and thus can do whatever the storyteller wants, so yes, it's possible. If the story demands it.

2) Unrevealed. If you need an explanation for how they breathe, go with what I did for them in Lords of Madness, because I doubt we'll get into that much detail in Golarion anytime soon.

3) Andoran is far from my favorite region in the setting. I don't hate it. But I'm not fond of it.

4) Maybe, maybe not. No public plans to do so anytime soon.

5) Galt is not very close to the Worldwound, so your question makes no sense.

6) I obviously think it was a good idea because that's how it's been for the entirety of the campaign setting.

I don't think there's any "good guy" nations in real life, since I think it's impossible for a collection of humans on that scale to be able to do good. It's all just the lesser evil that we can hope will win out over the greater evil.
