What monster in the Bestiaries scares you the most? Like, what monster, whether mythological or Paizo-created, gives you nightmares?
None of them, really. Our stuff is too tame to give me nightmares.

What DOES give you nightmares, then?
Not a lot.
Things that have given me nightmares in the last decade include but are not limited to:
Ringu, the novel by Koji Suzuki.
A few movies, including Paranormal Activity, Martyrs, and Lake Mungo.
Being sick with a fever or gallstones.

Because Mothra is awesome.
And in fact IS one of the actual inspirations for Desna. Remember how Mothra is also associated with strange eerie music? And how Desna's known as the "Song of the Spheres?"

Huh, well I'll be. I never put the two together but now it's obvious. And here I was thinking I was prety good at figuring out your inspirations for Golarion.

Is Erik always dressed to the nines? He looks very dapper. (Both intended as compliments.)
Is that a Paizo break room?

Erik is indeed usually dressed pretty damn well.
It's the main meeting room, not a break room. Fun note: The wall of dark green books between me and Rob is an ALMOST complete set of first publication bound copies of Amazing Stories, back to the start. They're essentially the bound copies of the editor's copies of the entire run. Looking through those is pretty incredible.

Did you ever go and look at the statues in the grand cathedral?
What do you think of the Nightmare Frontier?

What the heck is up with romantic comedy? It feels like if the characters invested HALF as much time and energy into being open and honest about their feelings and working together to form a stable and meaningful relationship as they do trying to deceive their would-be partners into contrived situations to try and hide their intentions from some vague fear of judgment they'd be a lot happier. >:(

I did... and I had indeed noticed them before and approved. By that point, I wasn't that surprised to see them though.
Nightmare Frontier is SUPER HARD AND SCARY.
Sorry if your answer answers this as well but how do you feel about that and how open the church is about what they're actually worshipping as opposed to corrupt religions in other media that mask the creatures behind them as usually being beatific and angelic.

I think it's pretty interesting; the idea that the things you worship might actually be BAD for you is pretty cool.

*nods* It's definitely a nice change of pace.
Also, is it odd that I want a plushie Rom?
Also also, what do you think of the insight mechanic, especially parallel to Humanity in the Dark Souls games and the effects for having too much or too little.

Not a question, but I have a blog about mythical monsters that you may be interested in. Here you go.

I'm a fan of National Parks, as you might recall.Turns out, going on a long vacation when I'm really busy at work only means I come back to more work than when I left. Not a great way to recharge. I'm trying to do tiny little Micro-Recharging instead, taking a day here and there, and also ramping back on my extra writing for Paizo to boot.
A valid method, we actually schedule a three-day weekend every month that doesn't have one built in (thanks to a work holiday) or doesn't have a longer vacation scheduled. We request those dates in January (earliest opportunity) because it's less stressful to have them on the calendar ahead of time.
Ironically, I guess I'm fortunate where I work in that they can get along without me for a week or so. More work before and after, yes, but totally worth it.
You look well in the photo; how have you been feeling?

Maybe a little.
And I like the insight mechanic a lot better than Humanity so far. It seems less super important and thus more usable.

I've been feeling pretty good, psychically at least. Losing a lot of weight does that. Well... except for the gallstone thing. Mentally I've been pretty worn out of late, but gaming with friends tends to help that! :D

Blood of the Night offered some neat extra character options (and I'd know) - thing is, vampire mythology comes from all over the world in staggeringly diverse forms. Is anyone at Paizo saying/thinking anything about additional new varieties of Vampires/Dhampirs?

Nope; we've already done that thinking. With Blood of the Night.

Either way, they would be amazing to thumb through.

Not necessarily. BUT, If so... then the church has done plenty to invite and deserve said mockery, in my opinion.

Um... James, is the tech team on tackling the spam-monkey problem? Because the front is beleaguered. I tagged twenty threads in ten minutes!
I assume they are, but they're on the other side of the building and I generally don't have much interaction with them. Might be good to post your concerns to customer service.

Why is it always interpretive dance? Whatever happened to projecting text onto people's bodies?
Well... there was that one guy who would put paint tubes in his anus and then clench and squirt it out to paint his pictures... But I don't think I want Pathfinder associated with that type of art.
Rysky might want to be, definitely Cosmo, but I dunno about Pathfinder.
What do you think about anus based, projectile artwork James?

But it is one thing to say that some members of the catholic church were not the best of people. It is another thing to insult god/Jesus and i don't think he deserve it.
