~grins~ Thanks.

~sighs~ When will forensics get here? I want to clean up my house and get to bed. I am tired.

Crap! Sorry to hear about that Sharoth!

Were the guns collectibles or were they the 'real deal'?

Yikes. Sorry Sharoth. How much are you out?

My next door Neighbor lost her flat panel TV. As for me...

My (almost) new X-Box 360, the power converter and the controllers for my PS2, Elder Scrolls III - Morrowind, Elder Scrolls IV - Oblivion, Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic I & II, my 5 year old laptop, my back pack that had my algebra book and my dice in it, and most of my Dad's guns. My dog and myself are ok. I am waiting for forensics to get here so I can close the door that got kicked in and turn on the AC.

Note - I just received these three X-Box games YESTERDAY, Elder Scrolls III - Morrowind and the two Knights of the Old Republic. I had yet to even play them. GRRRRRRRRR... ~sighs~ Oh well. Such is life.

Holy crap! F#!+ dude, sorry.

Do you have their serial numbers on file? If the person that robeed you is an idiot and tries to pawn them w/o shaving them off, they will be caught if you give the cops a copy of the serials.

My condolences on your loss.

Bummer Sharoth. Sorry to hear that. Hopefully, the police will catch the little f###er(s) who did it and shoot him(them).

There is a great disturbance in The String.

Hey Sharoth, sorry to hear about all the trouble. Something similiar happened to me last week. Except I was home when someone kicked in my door. Hang in there man.

Good morning FAWLTers!

No beer or margaritas this morning, but it IS Friday! What's everyone's plans for the weekend? I'll be doing a number of things (none of them outdoors).

Psst... 'Block This Application'. It's located right under the Accept button.

Hey Dragon. Glad to see you were ok, we waited for you to call us back. I am so sorry about the guns, although they should be able to find them if you have serial numbers. *hugs* babe. Call us if you need.

Gooooooooooooooooooood morning Fawlty Haus- FROM OTAKON!!!!!!!

I'm dressed up as Dutch and I'm ready to hit the dealers room a little earlier than most if only to poke around and see who has what. I've stepped up my otaku game a bit and now only intend to purchase merchandising from various booths(knicknacks, etc.)- not DVDs, which I will now only purchase from wholesalers online. I'll actually put some pics up online for people to enjoys. But not on facebook, which is slowly driving Jeremy mad. Of course, I knew this would happen, but noone listens to me on the evils of facebook....until it is TOO LATE.

Only two more days until SC. I'm a little nervous about the flight, but I'm sure such worries will evaporate when the plane itself lifts off.

Sharoth, I'm sorry about the various losses- the laptop must have had important stuff on it- but the loss of your guns might have been a blesing in disguise, as they are relatively easy to track. Depending on how fast they try to get rid of them, they may very well be turning themselves in once they try to sell them. I realize this is more than a bit optimistic, but you should be able to recover a few of those at the very least. I've been robbed before on several occasions and I know how violated you feel right now- here's hoping you get some of your stuff back and the knowledge that these guys are in jail.

Think I'll learn from that. Most of mine are registered, but wouldn't hurt to have the numbers on file myself.

If you can, make a copy of the numbers and take pictures of the guns. Then have an off site backup of this information. Also, do the same with ALL other valuables as well.

~shrugs and smiles~ I might (as in less than 0.01% chance) get some of it back. I am declaring it a loss and will just replace it over a period of time. The computer repair kit is going to be the hardest to replace since some of the software is over 12 years old. I like being able to work on older computers. I just pray that the guns get taken off the street as soon as possible. They may have gotten my Social Security card and birth certificate, so I am waiting for the Social Security people to get to me while I am on hold. The bank has already been informed about what happened and I have a new (metal) front door waiting to be installed. A bit later, I will head over to Best Buy and get a new X-Box 360 Elite and a copy of Elder Scrolls IV - Oblivion.

By the way, thanks for caring, Mr. emo pony boi.

Are you asking who is of Dutch descent? If so, I am.

Are you asking who is a character called Dutch? If so, Arnold Schwartzenegger played a character called Dutch in "Predator" and there is some debate as to whether one of the Y-wing pilots in Star Wars was named "Dutch" or "Hutch".

Got in to work this morning to find that the vandals here have broken yet another 104-year old window on the store front. It's on the owner's section, so they plan to board it up and leave it instead of replacing it. That'll be a good look. But who can afford (a) to replace this stuff every month or (b) the insurance coverage to replace this stuff?

I'm looking at a motion-detecting webcam now, since we have a PC up at the front. Those will detect motion through glass, right? They're not that expensive, and I set up one at work when we had a problem with some hateful nocturnal behavior.

I'm not sure on whether it will work though glass, but here's some Mythbuster facts

You know, this brings to mind something that's always puzzled me about the nature of good and evil. It takes so long for good people to build something up, but it's so easy for a single evil act to tear it down. Why is evil so much more effective than good? And it's frustrating for good people, who become discouraged. Yet if they do nothing or resort to returning evil for evil, evil wins the day. So... is it just the fate of good people to suffer, and to have to work harder?
