Dude, this is f+@#ing awesome. I've been watching Lord of the Rings for the billionth time, and I noticed something interesting.

At 0:56 in this video, check out the Kings of Men. The second guy and the eighth guy, from left to right, are

Spoiler:
John Howe and Alan Lee

AWESOME.

Fuuuuuuuuuuuu......may have to keep an eye out on Hulu.

Does Hulu support captioning?

I got no clue. Search the guide for reshowings, or check the PIE shop.

ALLEN: How do I find you on dropbox. Man, that thing gives me headaches!

I have a folder in the Fawtly folder.

I don't otherwise know how to find me. Perhaps Gregg can give you an invite to the Fawtly folder if you don't already have access?

Currently the Dungeon as Underworld article is in that folder as well as my New Greyhawk Lore Project, which has been on hold barring my very full writing plate.

I'm guessing that's very rude?

You need to sync up with the drop box from Uri. Right now I am the only one on the one you set up.

Shiny: YES!

Everybody: DB drives me nuts. Why can't you search for people, for example? I just shared a folder with Allen. I got nothing from anybody, except CrimJ. Also, my FAWTLY folder says Taig is there. Of course, I shared a folder with my wife, and she had the same problem saying it never showed up for her.

Shoes on tatami is horrible. You would literally hear audible gasps of dismay and stutters and someone could even faint at the horror.

As far as me doing everything backwards, no, I was just wrong. Japanese still force kids to be right handed...and me doing everything mirror image was incorrect. Thus... *smack! slap!*

This was a septagenarian. In Japanese society, she rules the roost at that age and was well within her rights to hit me.

According to my list, there's 8 folks in the FAWTLY folder. Me, Amby, Taig, CrimJ, Flash, the Puffin, Treppa, and Allen. PM me and let me know which account you're using and I'll toss you an invite (as I'm the one that created the folder) and you should see all the subfolders branched from it.

Dropbox? That site's a f+&*ing nightmare. My professors are being told by the administrators that they should use it for classes, but no one, students included, can get it to work consistently.

Which is odd. Works great for me. I've hooked up my gal's entire family to a share photo where we switch back and forth documents and photos. As for the fawtlies, we've shared homebrew statblocks of creatures and/or items. Etc.

There has been a recent software upgrade, though. Dunno if that's causing any issues.

I've messaged those who have expressed interest in the Ravenloft game. I opened a thread here. I posted important tentative rules changes. If anyone else is interested, there can still be openings.

Karen and I go to get our marriage certificate tomorrow. Then I go to my tax lady to get my taxes done. Hopefully the government hasn't screwed me over by messing with what I can deduct and what I can get back.

Whoah WHOAH! You're getting married in the next 60 days? Actual wedding? JOTP? I feel like I'm at a loss of info. Details!

~chuckles~ Well, it is a bit less than 60 days. We will be getting married at the Davneport House Museum courtyard at 5:30 pm on 2-14-2011. It is just a ten minute ceremony, but it is still a nice place. After that, we will be meeting some of my friends at the Crystal Beer Parlor for a little get together.

COngratulations on your impending matrimonial bondage.

Seriously, congratulations and best wishes for many years of happiness, Sharoth. Also, let me know if she starts making you get rid of your minis.

** spoiler omitted **

Karen is a killer, a serious killer. Why she has killed a lot of the clutter around the house. The pack rat in me has been crying in pain and agony for a while now. OTOH, she is a gamer and she would kill ME if I gave away my game stuff. ~wicked chuckles~ She did look a bit faint when I told her that I had more books in the attic. We both wanted to get married at the Ren Fair right below Atlanta, but it would cost us a few grand. So when we get more debt free, we might do it for our five year anniversary.

~grins~ Karen is watching Hogfather right now on Netflix in the bedroom.

Good point: For a small fee, I will appear at your wedding in full academic regalia.

Hogfather? I say she's a keeper! Tell her that they also have The Colour of Magic.

That Davenport joint looks pretty swanky.

Rent-a-Prof!

Clad in full regalia, these PhD's will add class and distinction to any occasion. Available in a variety of schools and fields to coordinate with any color scheme.

Uh...naw, just Harvard red + Yale blue (How SMU chose their colors.)
But the rest is definitely true. I will do ceremonial things. There's also a decent chance the cathedral would let me borrow the ceremonial mace.

You should charge extra for the mace, unless they let you chase off tarrying guests with it.

Care to throw your hat in with us? :)

Yeah, I try to talk to both at least once a week each. Especially my dad these days. He really like it when I call just to shoot the s&&~.
Yeah, my mom and I chat it up, normally about nothing at all. My dad isn't a phone person, I usually toss in the 'tell daddy I said hi and I love 'em', and I get back the 'he says hi and you too'. :)

I tell my Dad, sister, daughter, and other loved ones "I love you." too; I never know if I'll see them again, and I can't imagine better last words. It weirds out some family and friends, but I've made my choice.

Overheard at the Office:

The colleague who sits in the cubicle next to mine is on the phone with one of the people she supervises, and in the midst of what is apparently a very frustrating conversation for her, I hear, "Are you delusional?"

I almost couldn't stop myself from laughing out loud.
