I'm using the 2e box set, but making my own adventures. (Semi-sandbox, but not completely, because a true sandbox PbP will fall on its face.)

I like the rule of: if it's your turn in a combat, you have 24 hours (with a little leeway on a weekend or holiday) or I will post a reasonable action for you. That works well in a lot of the PbPs I've played in. If it's exploration or interaction, you can post at will.

I keep one next to my computer now. I've always liked having flashlights handy.

Hello Lindisity <Hannibel Lecter>

Welcome to Fawtl, feel free to kick your shoes off and enjoy the festivites. We do have certain rules in our little corner of the boards though, No Politics, No Religion, And we do flirt and play, sometimes crudely, We take no offense here.

Care to throw your hat in with us? :)

EDIT: And the Lady Solnes would like to remind everyone that she has temporarily resended our Football ban, unless you're a Steelers fan. ;)

Level 1, and I haven't chosen a point buy yet. I'm mostly guaging interest, and then I will want character concepts. Those will help me so when I open it up to anyone on gamer connection, I can get a feel for what the party needs.

It still kind of boggles my mind that people (is this guys?) make fun of women for carrying flashlights in their purses. Hmm...maybe that's why lots of women in Texas pack both light and heat?

A sufficiently large flashlight can also be used to deter attackers.

Seems completely sensible (to carry one) to me. Hell, if I carried a purse I’d probably carry a flashlight in it. I always make sure there is one (with a charged battery) in the car and (somewhere easily accessible in the dark) in the house.

I've got both a wizard and a ranger floating around from aborted Ravenloft pbps. Might re-hash / update one of those or create a new concept depending on the campaign details.
