Runs around nekkid.

The Exchange

Picked up some fresh fruit this morning, going to make a cobbler tonight. :)

There was some crazy GPing last night.

Cobbler would go well with my coffee, right now.

You called?

SPLOOOOOORRRRTCH!!

You come back to this thread the next day and it's jumped a page. This isn't a thread for late replies because the currents change so quickly that any reply, even with a quote becomes some kind of non sequitur. Therefore, I vow to never look away from the screen, blink, or sleep again!

Welcome to the FAWTL Zone.

It can get boring at times when hours on end go by without replies/responses.

I won't let this deter me in my appointed task!

Actually, this not blinking thing is for the dogs. Eyelidless dogs.

So, given our conversation about cartoons the other day, I was thinking that two current cartoons have been greatly influenced by D&D:
1. The Misadventures of Flapjack
2. Adventure Time with Finn & Jake

I'd say so by the look of #2, but I've never watched them myself. I though Flapjack was about a pirate, isn't it?

Yeah...but have you ever watched it? It's a piratical setting with a failed pirate mentor in the party. Lots of classic D&D monsters show up. And the main character's motto: Adventure! Stand in for the tavern: The Candy Barrel.

No, never seen em. I saw commercials for them whilst watching A:TLA (I never noticed how much that abbreviation looks like Attila). I like that Futurama contained some D&D references, such as the Beholder that guarded the passage to the Central Bureaucracy.

I always liked the shot of the robot with a pet rust monster in the vet's office.

Afternoon folks! Back from a day of hunting down second-hand junk across the sea lanes .. (arrr.)

@SP: Yeah, there was a rust monster in one episode too. Geeky TV cartoon Easter Eggs FTW!

I'll have to check out those other cartoons.

I feel your pain. These people just don't respect raw unbridled talent.

Tell me about it. In the meantime, check out my Venture game at Gen Con if you're going. Fawn me with fan service. Lots of fan service.

Only 7 pages to catch up on. It'll have to wait, though. We're dropping the kids off at camp.

See you all later.

Once again this doppleganger seems infatuated with the idea of getting me dopplegang-banged in the mouth at Gen Con. It comes across as a strange goal, but I don't question his genius.

We had a great dinner. New idea was a big hit! We took ground beef and onion with cheese and filled crescent rolls. Hamburger Pockets! Kids loved them! Now we are having quick and easy cobbler for dessert!

I think Mairk had it right earlier. I am going to make a small pot o coffee to have with my cobbler.

In other news, I was up all night again last night. Going to have to see a real doc come next week. After Googling ulcers today I am a little scared. According to the websites mine is advanced, going by my symptoms. :\
