You don't want them to go away, but you need to stop letting them build up to MAJOR craziness. Start doing little crazies throughout the week (like mowing the lawn with black socks and sandals; saying "hello" to everyone you walk by in the mall; or going out to eat at a place you'd normally not go - like Chuck E. Cheese). Then, the little crazies will keep the big crazies in check.
Edit: Crazy nekkids!
Or Nekkid crazies?
Whichever!!
I think I need a vacation, I've been working 2 jobs while doing preliminary grad studies projects without stop for nearly the past 3 years. And now I see my life of major responsibility happening it freaks me out more than just a little. But what has to be done has to be done. If I can somehow keep working at this frantic pace (while apparently looking after a young child in the next few months) and I can just make it to the big move I'll be ok.

Nice collection. I used to have boxes and boxes of paperbacks. (It's a family trait, my dad's family are all heavy readers.) But they were lost to rain while in storage during my Navy years. :(
I'll have to get pictures of the rest of my stuff up.

More of a "Come git ya vitamins, girly!" approach. I like it.

Hmmm. Seems like the looming responsibilities might be making the feelings come forward. Maybe you ahouls take a vacation before heading over to Scotland. Hey, join your Quebecois cousins and come down to Cape Cod! Bring your Orcus and yours and mine can have an epic duel! I got my retro Demon Idol in the mail today, we could roll up some theives and try to steal the eyes from it!
Just a thought! =)

Ebay, about 5 or 6 years ago. Same for the rest, actually. Paid reasonable prices too. (Very reasonable since they go for much more these days.)

So, anyhoo...
Just got a call back and I have a second interview on Monday for a position. Nothing fancy, but it really doesn't need to be. I might have a chance to regain my subscriptions! YAY!
Hmm, I wonder if I can get my 'Charter AP subcriber' tag back ...
Congrats and good luck on the second interview!

I'd love too, it's just the money involved. We're already supporting my sister-in-law and niece financially. Plus the moving expenses, the spousal visa fees, the trip to Halifax for the consulate appointment, etc., etc. I just can't seem to work enough :(

Hi all. Where I've been...
** spoiler omitted **
I think the important thing is having a mentor/advisor you click with. Interviews are a big deal. Do you know if the dept head would be your advisor, or one of the political grunts? SP and I have a friend who dumped his ABT PhD because he and his advisor had a major blow-up that he saw coming but thought he could avoid. You don't want to do that.
Mairk might have more on this since he's ventured into that hellish realm farther than I. I can't keep my mouth shut and tend to become persona non grata. :-(

There is an Off-Topic clicky link at the very top of the boards - saves tons of scrollinating.

Had to learn here was a reason to come down here. Not that I am sure there is a reason to come down here, but it is at least interesting to watch...you know like a car wreck. ;)

By the way, I changed my name so I would no longer be a Jr. Which you wouldn't know, but I thought it might be okay to mention it. :)
I do use paragraph breaks, don't I? In fact, I thought I was pretty obsessive about it. As a former English major, the nature of the paragraph is important to me. ;)
