Good morning FAWTLYiers.

Well, off to do some end of the season yardsaling. The most fun you can have with limited dough! =)

Thanks everyone for the well-wishes, hopefully I'll have good news to report Monday afternoon. *crosses fingers*

Something strange is happening here. It's Saturday morning, but when I came in to open the store, things were awry. There were no broken bottles on the sidewalk in front of the store, no piles of cigarette butts, no puddles of puke. What happened? It looks civilized out there.

I'm scared.

Is that for good luck? I thought it was to keep them out of the pantry.

Shoot. I misread a thread title here and thought it was about the "Vatican magic system." I was all excited that there might be new clerical magic....

That's just not natural.

Hey, you know that has nerve endings, right? *harrumpf*

Well, scored about 20 books for $20. Couldn't stay out longer since nurse pulled a no-show and daughter going to gmoms at 1130. *sigh* And there were so many yardsales. Ah well, I can relax and watch Clash of the Titans and skim through my new coffee table Smithsonian and National Archive art books.

*blink*

So.... everyone good this morning? It's gorgeous here. We have the door open and banners flying outside. Now if I just felt like working.

Dude, you got Smithsonian coffee table books 20 for $20?!?! Daaang! Lucky monkey.

Tip for all parents out there: If your kids are fighting, crying, screaming, or throwing a tantrum in the toy store, buy them a toy to placate them! Better yet, buy them three or four to keep them occupied!

Also make sure that you buy multiples of those toys, because you can never have too many handy.

Geez, we're only at 8,810 posts. Kinda slow, guys. We can easily blame Teter for part of it, but things are working now, so git postin'!

And let's face it, they're gonna break 'em pretty soon, so then you have another handy to avoid that tantrum.

Nice finds. I enjoyed Devil in the White City and was surprised to find it was a real part of Chicago history I didn't know about.

Sounds like a perfect Saturday morning. I've been downloading free paper minis and listening to the Paizo folks yammer at GenCon while drinking coffee.

I was elated to find the 6th edition Gamma World Player's Handbook and Out of the Vaults in good condition at HPB yesterday on a whim. Even more blessed is that I had a 15% off coupon on me.

Of course, rubbing salt in the wounds would be the 20% sale going on the following Labor Day weekend. But I can't take the chance that the books will be there until next Thursday, am I right?

That reminds me. Now that I have some money I should see if those Planescape books are still at the HPB on our side of town.

Good for you!

I found a copy of the DM's Guide with the original cover that looked almost new. Almost no cover wear and no paper yellowing. Please be there on 20% off day. Please.

Some would say it's the quality and not the quantity that matters. Unless you're a warwoolf.

Out for lunch, followed by the return to my AD&D (1e) game. Half-orc Fighter/Assassin. Rawr!

No but I'm willing to post pics of me greedily enjoying them all to myself and then tag you as your most desired mini. Urizen knows I'll do that much.
