Thanks for all the congrats and kind words, everyone. This will take a while to sink in, I think. I still just have a mushroom cloud where my head used to be...

I'm with Eric. I logged on about 15 minutes after the deadline, ready to join the "Ask Clark why they didn't like my item" thread, and incidentally checked the list, to see if I knew anybody who had made the cut.

And then life got a little more exciting.

Yes congratulations to all of the top 32. I wish you luck in the coming rounds. now to sit back and watch the show. again congratulations and good luck in the coming rounds. now were did that oreo box go.

Wow, I didn’t realise how many message-board regulars made the Top 32 this year. In previous years there have been a lot of newcomers, lurkers and occasional posters (with a few regulars here and there), but I’m seeing a lot of familiar names and aliases this time around.

Once again, well done.

1)Congrats to everyone who beat out the hundreds of us that didn't make the cut. The Judges obviously saw some big mojo in your work that the rest of us were lacking in...this time.

2)Having said that, however, i'm not seeing what that mojo was. I really hope they publish/release the items that didn't make the cut, because with only 2-3 exceptions i'm not feeling any of the top 32 items.

I'm not trying to be a jerk, or cause some sort of flame war, or anything, and it's truely not due to bitterness over being rejected (besides being lousy at spelling and grammar, my item probally contained too many homebrew references, so i never really expected it to advance). Most of the chosen items this year just don't excite me in any way. Last year i had a hard time deciding on which items to vote for - this year the choices are much easier.

I wish all 32 of ya'll the best and hope that the upcomming rounds contain even more big mojo (even if i don't "get it").

Hmmm. Well, I haven’t gotten through all (or even half) the items as yet, so maybe I’ve only looked at the ‘good’ ones, but I’m totally not getting the same vibe you are. Nearly all the items I’ve read have been fantastic. If there were a lot of items near this good, I don’t envy the judges having to narrow the field down to 32.

But you’re entitled to your opinion. Hopefully you’ll see something that excites you more in the next round.

I just absently checked my personal e-mail from work, and there was the notice. I was, and am, pretty stunned. Trust me to have a late night at work. Getting my work done without being able to focus on the boards for a few hours wasn't much fun.

Thanks for all the well-wishing and congrats to all of the top 32+ entrants.

To each his own and I strongly support your right to your opinion!

Feel free to come on in to my thread when it opens and join the discussion on the submissions that didn't make the cut. If you want to post yours I can help you. You can also see from some of the top 32 where I posted examples of how the items have that "special something." Candidly, I'm shocked to hear that you can't see the mojo. I have a funny feeling it might be just a tiny twinge of disappointment, but I'm willing to believe you if you say it isnt. ;) [wink wink].

Of course, there is another explanation. It might just be that Sean Reynolds and Wes Schneider and I don't know mojo when we see it. I know I sure don't :) [just funnin' with ya, but you do realize you are basically calling us idiots, right? again, just a bit of friendly teasing, you had to know your post would inspire that]

If you've read other threads you have heard me say that this year was harder. The average item was better than in prior years.

But in my view the mojo of the top 32 this year was even more clear from the top to the bottom than in prior years.

Shocked and awed and very grateful... and I really must get back to work!

Thank you all :)

Dedicated Voter Season 6

Having gone through all of the items its about half A. half B, with one C, so I thought they were high quality across the board, of course like Clark has been saying that makes it hard to choose a favourite.

I hope this is an indication of a phenomenal monster round!

Congratulations !!

I entered and didn't make the cut and I can obviously see why. My item just wasn’t good enough – but I’m cool with that and I’ll try again next year. The 32 items are all amazing fun stuff and at least half the items are items that I would love to encounter in games I am playing - and one or two of them I covet big time. (My favorite is the Tankard of the Cheerful Duelist. My monk character is going to acquire a taste for drinking and drinking while fighting it seems. :) )

Good luck to the 32 – have fun!

Congratulations Top 32! My tiny gray heart is filled with envy!

I've already commented on some of the items already, but I just wanted to pop in here and congratulate everyone on making it into the Top 32! Well done!

There are some fine items in this years batch. Excellent job everyone, congrats all around.

Congratulations all.

Now give us some awesome monsters!

Thanks for the congratulations. I havn't had time to post much on the boards due to work and I‘m a bit of a lurker on message boards to begin with. However, I quote former mayor of Bluffington, Robert “Bob” White, when I say “Don’t be a sucker! Vote for me.” In addition I make the following campaign promises. Hugs for some, miniature Andoren Flags for others.
