Conan O'Brien or Jay Leno???

Liberty's Edge Contributor, RPG Superstar 2012

Conan!!!

Craig Ferguson!

Jimmy Kimmel!

Carson Daly!!!!!!

Liberty's Edge

I found myself watching Conan a LOT more than Jay.

Not that I watch Conan at all now, mind you...

I don't watch either, but Conan gets my vote.

The Exchange

I think anyone but NBC...they screwed 'em both over.

Sovereign Court

Neither?

Liberty's Edge

Jimmy Kimmel is the only late-night host who is even passably entertaining, and he's only funny about 35% of the time.

Jay is not funny. Conan is not funny. Why either of them get paid so well is as big a mystery as the location of Jimmy Hoffa.

I only watch David Letterman. I don't even know who these guys are.

Conan!

Charlie Brooker.

who really cares?...other then carebears that is

I don't generally watch either, but if I had to pick it would be Conan, hand's down. I love how he killed that vulture. Anyone who can kill a vulture with his teeth gets my vote.

Wait what? Oh... nevermind. I thought we were talking about that big buff barbarian guy.

Ok I still go with the big haired beady eyed guy though.

Conan O'brien

+2. I'm really hoping they'll rerun the 1000th episode.

Jay's da man!

Scarab Sages

I never watch the Tonight Show, so have no vested interest in who gets it. However, while I find Conan O'Brian to be a funny guy, ultimately, I'd have to go with Jay Leno. I also find him funny, and he is a car/engine fanatic. His Popular Mechanics articles are always cool.

No love for Johnny Carson?

Dark Archive Owner - Johnny Scott Comics and Games

I grew up with Carson. Loved it. Carson at 11:30, then Letterman right after. That, to me, was the perfect late night lineup.

Right now, I prefer Letterman, but if I had to choose between Conan and Leno, I'll take Conan. Leno comes off as a little "fake" to me.

Which one is the poodle?

Arsenio.

Dave Chappelle.

Dark Archive

Jay, at least he's funny. Conan tries to be funny but pretty much ends up insulting everyone in the process.

Stephen Colbert!

Johnny Carson!

I choose...

C. I refuse to look up from my RPG books to waste a moment on either one.

Incidentally, the topic of this conversation is the subject of the most recent "Stuff White People Like" post.

I've seen this book several times @ B&N. Has anyone read?

I occasionally read the blog. It's pretty funny... and disturbingly accurate.

Pikachu I choose you!

I doubt that.

Well, it may not be accurate for everyone, but it nails me pretty closely, which I find both funny and unnerving. :-P

Anyone else find that impractical and highly unlikely?

Conan, if for no other reason than the awesome commercials that preceded his show before it first aired. It was basically along the lines of: "you loved him as the destroyer, now see him with his own talk show: Conan!"

Those commercials inspired many conversations about the theoretical talk show hosted by Conan the Barbarian, most of which ended with Conan bragging about his skills and murdering his guest.

I'm pretty sure this is Exactly how it went down.

Exactly. But of Conan/Leno, I have to go with the one who supported Paizo in the past.

Man, NBC got reamed a new one last night.

Eh? Which one supported Paizo in the past?

Yetisburg was featured on one of Conan's visits to a nearby game store. He all acted like he didn't know what it was, but I'm just going to say it was all an act and he purposefully was supporting Paizo by pimping Yetisburg.

Yeah, I saw that. Since tonight's the last episode, I need to remind myself to DVR it to see how he goes out.
