Awards always mean very little in the big scheme of things, but the Globes especially are voted on by just 80 people who are all foreign reporters working in Hollywood. How the HFP got such a "respected" award for their organization I'll never know.

Since Threadjack is already in here...
Oddly enough, the territory with the largest population of Japanese-Americans as well as the one where the attack took place, Hawaii, never suffered from relocation and internment. Then again, it would have been hard to relocate a third of the population, not to mention bad for the economy.

Oddly enough, the territory with the largest population of Japanese-Americans as well as the one where the attack took place, Hawaii, never suffered from relocation and internment. Then again, it would have been hard to relocate a third of the population, not to mention bad for the economy.
Yeah, no way they could do that politically in Hawaii; too many Hawaiians would protest the removal of their neighbours. Plus, in the continental US they were much more isolated from other Americans.
I suppose my mind doesn't work in the proper way to understand how hacking game designers' web sites supports the Palestinian cause. Seems that those 1337 skillz would better serve hacking Israeli sites, if that was truly their cause. Then again, it could just be a smokescreen...

I've never met him, but we've had brief conversations on other boards. He seemed like a nice smart guy to me, and TSR/WotC & Paizo employees seem to think highly of him. He's had significant roles as developer & writer for many PnP D&D products, and he had some involvement with either the Black Isle or Bioware Faerun games.
He has a lot of great free D&D stuff on his site too.

I doubt it. Whomever he pays for webhosting was probably just slack in staying up with patches and updates. The script-kiddies have software that probes blocks of IP addresses for known vulnerabilities; when they find one, they have software to hack it. It's all freely available idiot-proof GUI hack-in-a-box software; if you can navigate a Windows web browser, you can run this stuff... there's very little skill involved anymore.
They probably hacked it just for sh*ts-&-giggles, but they often get "paid" to hack sites to install scripts to autoinstall trojan plugins and other malware.
