Morning folks!

And TAD, yeah they jumped the shark in Sanctuary back at the end of Season One, then they jumped the Megalodon, then the fiendish avatar of Dajobas ....

It gets tiring after a while, and then you have to say to yourself: They keep this whole shooting match under the radar? WTF?

I saw the Caprica pilot, only BSG thing I ever saw and I liked it. I will be tuning in for sure! Might have to watch the BSG series now, but watching TV cuts down on my internetz ...

Hells no. She is much sexier than the toothpick girls.
I mean Grace Park is hot and Tricia Helfer is pretty nice, but damn I love me some Starbuck!

I'm not picky; I'll take them all simultaneously.

That reminds, I need to get Diviha to do something this morning. Have fun out and about.

I am taking the family out to Prossers BBQ today! :)

Just saw the missus off to visit her family & friends in Cincy for the weekend. It's just me and the rest of the zoo here for the weekend. I'm sure I'll discover an Urizen Do List somewhere where she expects me to be later by surprise. :D

Thoughts on a couple of days worth of posts:

David, sorry you didn't get the job you wanted. I hope it's a good sign for other jobs to come. And HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

Ambrosia Slaad, I'm glad the new meds are working for you. And, They Live is one of my favorite B-movies of all time.

Lynora, good luck with your auction. Given the reaction just in this thread, I bet you'll have a lot of buyers. Sorry about the nose bleeds. I hope those go away soon.

Urizen, I know I said it before, but it sucks that you lost your job, and it sounds like they were hunting for a reason to do so. Here in NC, they don't have to give a reason for letting you go. So far, my company has been good about giving people a decent severance when they let people go, and I hope your company at least gives you something so you can find a new job in relative comfort.

CJ, enjoy your child-free weekend. I know my wife and I enjoy those a lot.

Woodraven, careful with your muay thai, and I hope the classes improve for you. One of the things that attracted my wife to me was some of the outrageous stuff I'd say in my 100-level humanities classes. I'm pretty sure 17/18 year-old me would be a bad forumite.

Flash, I hope you back feels better soon. And your other, uh, condition improves. :)

Moorluck, that was an entertaining bit of "theater" last night.

Hello to everyone else. I hope you all have a good day. (Mairkurion, I hope you aren't hurt that I didn't all you out specifically. By the way , "add hock" has got to be my favorite all-time pun that I've ever come up with, and I can understand why your avvy tried to eat Ginny Pig)

I'm off to lunch with my family now. I hope there aren't 550 more posts while I'm gone. :)

I'll be working some more on the Blink Monkey and Krenshar Pei when I get back. I hope to have something tonight.

Is it healthy that when I think back to high school, this is what I remember? I was actually friend with three of the five kids involved.

Damn! What's happened to the boys since then? Were they tried as adults? Are they still in prison?

The two I was friends with who weren't the victim were sentenced to 15 years in 1997 so they will be out in five years. The other two who were charged were given probation in exchange for their testimonies against Mike and Ken, the two ringleaders. The really sad thing is that I was in ROTC, played paintball, and gamed with them. They did a complete 180 in the year after I graduated to turn into what they were by this time. Ken's brother and I were the founders of the Ace of Spades, which was a paintball club for ROTC kids whn we started it in 1990. We left the Spades when we graduated and headed off to basic training, but figured that the club was safe in Ken's hands, since he was an ROTC officer and a straight A student. I guess you never really know what you are leaving behind do you.

OK, I think about 61 ghosts has to be a new record.

bored at work, bored at work, bored at work. Hey look there's a board at work

Do you know what their motive was for killing the boy?

I had gym class with both of these guys.

My kids were baptised at the church where the victim taught.

I grew up a 1/2 mile from where the Oteros lived and where found. I live 1/2 a mile where his final documents were mailed to the newspaper. My wife works at the school bus lot less then a mile from his family home.

My family moved to Wichita shortly after the 1977 killings. That was pretty scary stuff for 10 year-old me.

What's the deal with Kansas and brutal killings? People get bored in the Great Plains and go nuts?
