!!! BANE'D !!!
That link is full of awesome.
As for katanas, I believe they should deal 1d10 damage (plus modifiers for strength bonus) and require exotic weapon proficiency. They should provide a +1 bonus to attack due to their masterwork quality and in all other ways be equivalent to a masterwork bastard sword, except in name and shape.
Ninjas should not be allowed to carry katanas and instead should use the ninja-to. The ninja-to should be a 1d6 slashing weapon with the Deceptive Draw ability and otherwise have the same mechanics as a shortsword and should not have an inherent masterwork quality in its craftsmanship. The ninja-to should use a full-length scabbard and require the exotic weapons proficiency feat for non-ninjas, but be included on the ninja's list of proficient weapons. The ninja-to scabbard's extra length may be used to store shurikens, smoke pellets, a dagger, or other miscellaneous supplies that can fit in the space.
Deceptive Draw: A weapon with this ability can be used to deny a target its Dexterity bonus to AC if an attack is made with it in the same round it is drawn from its matching scabbard while the attacker is within melee range of the target and so long as the enemy has not seen the attacking character in combat with the weapon before. (The full-length scabbard deceives the victim into thinking the sword takes longer to draw than it does.) This denial of the DEX bonus to AC is enough to allow a ninja character to gain Sudden Strike against the victim for the duration of the round in which the weapon was drawn in melee. Note that this benefit does not function if the weapon is drawn as part of another move action unless that action is from one threatening square to another for the same target. For this reason, the Quick Draw feat is recommended for characters who wish to make use of the weapon's Deceptive Draw capability.
(The Deceptive Strike property would also allow for Sneak Attacks rather than Sudden Strikes, but the conditions for a Sudden Strike are harder to meet than those for a Sneak Attack.)
Heh. But that's just my take on it. (I have no idea if ninjato is posted somewhere, that's just what I made-up based on the Wikipedia entry for the weapon.)

I have to admit, I wouldn't have thought that that would create such a huge mess of the messageboards (and I know you didn't either).
Edit: That was an awfully quick thread-locking, though.

It was nowhere near fast enough. Like 5 minutes at least. I wonder how Teter mods at night.
Edit: Not that I'm advocating any nighttime attempts to screw up the boards.

I succeeded in getting a thread baned, but it's not really that cool. I keep worrying that I'll be perm baned.
I doubt it. That was annoying, but not ban-worthy unless you did it multiple times on purpose.
and sorry I got mouthy about it, but I was having a bit of a time figuring out hw to post anytohing.)

There. I just bumped a whole load of Off-topic threads so that yours isn't in the fold anymore, and it shouldn't throw off anyone's screens unless they actually open the full list of OTD threads.

Yeah, Teter cut the title down to 4 "A"s. Thanks for the effort though.

On the recent posts column to the left he did, but not on the full list... you still had to scroll way to the right to find the most recent post on the various threads.
