All persons are protected under the law, so killing a kobold or orc just for being a kobold or orc will get you at least ten years hard labor.
As far as classes go, I'll allow most things. Just run it by me first if it's from a splatbook so I can be sure I actually have that book. Because of the nature of the game I'm not too concerned, or really concerned at all with having a balanced party. Just play whatever you like.
Would a warlock be okay? Are you using PFRPG?

It's BETA Rules, but it's up to lyn if it swaps over to final rules or not. Are you thinking of a Tome of Secrets Warlock. I am quite impressed by them and am about to start playing one in a PbP Cynthia desCartien

You'll get on swimmingly with Yarden... ;)
Speaking of which...
I do have one query if we do end up restarting. The point of Yarden was to use her claws in combat, but under the finalised PFRPG Rules her claws have been limited to 3+CHA uses per day. I won't go into it here now, but along with the Draconic Bloodline, this has pissed me off more than anything else but one other thing about the new rules as it totally screwed up 3 charactrers, plus a couple of concepts. Luckily my other DMS have allowed me to continue using them as if they were a constant (but still with the reduced damage, which I have no problem with). It's up to you whether you House Rule and allow me to do that and I'll understand if you don't... it is your game after all. If you don't allow it, I'll probably roll up another character though... that rule pissed me off that much...

A warlock would be fine. And yeah, it's currently Beta, but I'd like to switch it over to PFRPG.

What's the diff between a Tome of Secrets warlock and the one in the complete arcane? I don't have Tome of Secrets, so I'm curious. (Doesn't mean I wouldn't allow it, just would need to have the info on the class.)

I'll send you the relevant info on it. Both that and the Swashbuckler have very much been well worth the money I paid for the book. I do so loves me that Swashbuckler. :)
EDIT: Done and Done...

Nope, she just stands there until her teacher holds her arms out. She mostly moves out of the way though befor Caitlin hits her so she does end up (mostly) jumping in by herself... she just woun't do it on her own.. :/

Don't worry, you're good. I'm not gonna let anybody's character concept get screwed over by a rules change. If it doesn't fit, keep using what you already have. I'm not too hung up on rules. It's all about the story.

Lynora, I'd like to try Night Watch, if that's OK. I'll have to make up a character later this week, though (hopefully Friday).
I'll play a cleric, if that's not already taken, and I plan to use the PFRPG rules, also if that's OK.
Sorry to hear about your bad day. Celestial Healer actually served on a jury. Maybe he can offer some insight...
Hi again, everyone. I moved my desk one row over, so now I'm "official" in my new job. Yay.
Off to watch last night's episode of House. Back later.

That's fine by me. And should make flash pretty happy too. :)
And, yep, it's PFRPG rules, and a cleric should be just fine.

Yeah, I didn't mind jury duty, but it may depend on your circumstances - what your typical schedule was like, whether your employer is paying you while you're there (if applicable), where the courthouse is located, etc.
For me, it was pretty much the same hours as my work, and I was still getting paid, so I didn't mind at all. I wound up on a really intense, but short, trial, but all in all I would do it again.

Yeah, see for me it would be a real problem. I'm a stay-at-home mom. So what am I supposed to do about my kid? My husband needs to work and can't get time off for the next several months because it's the busy time of year. I need to be here to pick the kid up from school. I mean, if it's a half-day thing it would suck, but I could do it. But I have to be here to pick up the kid from school in the afternoon. Sigh. Hope they let me off.

Yeah, the judges I met were pretty sympathetic to lack of child care issues. You're not likely to get out of that first day, though.
