Wow, wow you gys, where is everyone?We went to see Surrogates. It was pretty good. I thought that the story was good and it looked pretty, but the pacing was a bit off.
I thought that it was the interplay between Bruce Willis and his wife that really set it apart from more standard sci-fi fare. I liked the idea of trying to convince someone that you want to be with them, warts and all, in a society where you could easily have their idealized self. I also liked the way that they acted like people who simply did not want to use Surris were almost handicapped in a way. It was an interesting twist.

Yeah, I'm a big fan of James Cromwell, but the I Robot thing was the first thing that came to mind when I saw his name on the credits.
The new position at work got interrupted with stuff that needed attention for my old position at work. That's OK. It's not like I've moved to a whole new company.
Holy cow! I've never had an "adjustment" done by a chiropractor. That was freaky. My back still hurts, but I need to give a couple more times I guess.
It does take a few times. My dad swears by his chiropractor, been going for years and his back feels so much better.

I'm a little concerned about the potential "Big Brother" stuff going on, where one guy seems to be roaming around and noting when I'm talking to people about non-work stuff. If I get dinged for that, oh well. I'm not going to change.

I agree. I thought they handled the relationship well. That was definitely the high point of the movie. I just felt like they took away from the investigation aspect of the story a lot by not paying attention to the pacing.

We went and took the kids to see Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs today. It ws a very funny, very cute movie. When we got home, one of our old neighbors that we haen't seen in ages shows up and gives my wife and I two movie tickets and a $75 Applebee's gift certificate. I guess things are looking up.

See that sounds like my husband. He decides he doesn't have time to eat and can go for way longer than he should between meals. And then when he does eat, it's enough for about three of him. This is not a healthy way to be. You need to eat. And on a regular basis.
