We went to see Surrogates. It was pretty good. I thought that the story was good and it looked pretty, but the pacing was a bit off.

I thought that it was the interplay between Bruce Willis and his wife that really set it apart from more standard sci-fi fare. I liked the idea of trying to convince someone that you want to be with them, warts and all, in a society where you could easily have their idealized self. I also liked the way that they acted like people who simply did not want to use Surris were almost handicapped in a way. It was an interesting twist.

I enjoyed it very much. I would have only changed one thing, and that would have been the actor who played the creator. Too reminicent of I Robot. Zombieland was AWESOME!

Solnes and Moorluck have the evening to themselves. I don't know why they're spending their time away from the boards. Some people...

Yeah, I'm a big fan of James Cromwell, but the I Robot thing was the first thing that came to mind when I saw his name on the credits.

Holy cow! I've never had an "adjustment" done by a chiropractor. That was freaky. My back still hurts, but I need to give a couple more times I guess.

It does take a few times. My dad swears by his chiropractor, been going for years and his back feels so much better.

Do you think you will like the new position?

I think I'll like the work. I'm a little concerned about the potential "Big Brother" stuff going on, where one guy seems to be roaming around and noting when I'm talking to people about non-work stuff. If I get dinged for that, oh well. I'm not going to change.

Grrr, new people like that are such a pain. :\

I agree. I thought they handled the relationship well. That was definitely the high point of the movie. I just felt like they took away from the investigation aspect of the story a lot by not paying attention to the pacing.

Can they prove it's not work related? Just say you were taken out of context, it works for politicians.

We went and took the kids to see Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs today. It ws a very funny, very cute movie. Hey, now, you don't want to damage that pillar. ;)

So what is it about pbp that doesn't work for you? If you don't mind me asking.

~shakes my head~ Not the PBPs but life issues right now.
Ah. Okay. I understand that. Well, I hope that your issues get resolved soon. I wouldn't want my favorite dragon to go denting his scales banging his head into walls. :)
~grimaces~ That all depends upon how long it takes for me to get off this 4pm to midnight shift AND get out of debt AND get the house repaired.

We will help with the house if we can...I say we, but I mean him. :)

Dinner was so good last night! I just love when someone else does all the cooking and cleaning up! :)
I had talapia and veggies, hubby had a burger. :)

Sorry about that. I'm trying to rustle up some breakfast. As I haven't been to the grocery store in a couple weeks this is proving challenging. Trying not to give in and eat that donut. Eating donuts in the morning does baaaaaad things to my blood sugar.

Glad to hear you guys had a really good dinner last night. :)

Oh, that stinks, I like sweet things for breakfast, if and when I eat breakfast.

lol. Yeah. Some of us do it regularly.

Actually I'm hypoglycemic. If I don't eat regularly I end up blacking out and other bad stuff. Have to keep the blood sugar steady.

Well kids are home so no breakfast in bed, but we will head out soon to the grocery store and pick up something that we usually wouldn't. :)

See that sounds like my husband. He decides he doesn't have time to eat and can go for way longer than he should between meals. And then when he does eat, it's enough for about three of him. This is not a healthy way to be. You need to eat. And on a regular basis.

I very rarely have breakfast.

Closest thing I get on a regular basis is when I take the kids to Maccas on Sunday morning to bring brunch home for the family after my wife's sleep in.

Class, do I need to remind everyone that breakfast is the most important meal of the day?

I can't recommend life-screwing...it sounds great, what with the screwing in it, but somehow putting it together with life just doesn't work out too well, in my experience.
