Scarab Sages

One change to the Dwarf I noticed; Stonecunning still gives the +2 bonus, and still grants a check on the move, but there is no longer the phrase allowing dwarves to 'detect doors and traps with DC21+, despite not being a rogue'.

This could be interpreted two ways; it could mean the ability has been depowered, OR it could mean the arbitary and unjustifiable limit on trapfinding has been thrown in the trash, where it belongs.
No longer will a ranger with +30 Perception be able to track a flea along a clean stone corridor, but be oblivious to the scratch-marks left by the crushing walls.

If anyone does want to depower the elf and dwarf trap/door-sense, then the best way would be to remove that 'always-on radar' effect, that has the players send their PCs sprinting round the perimeter of every room making 'ping-ping-ping' noises. That is the silly, overpowered and annoying part, not the fact they are 2 better at carrying out a proper search.

Flumphs are not people; they are creations of the Lord Gygax for glabrezu to violate for their own enjoyment...

Spoiler:
Just like people.

Glabrezus would sodomize this?!??!

Really?!?

Liberty's Edge

I could just see the first edition Flumph running around with first edition psionics.

Level 17 Fighter: Prepare to die foul beast!
Flumph: *Psychic Crush*
Level 17 Fighter: I think I'm dying!
*Level 17 Fighter 'dies'!*
*Flumph gains 2,235 experience points!*
*Flumph gains a level!*

I wouldn't call that irony. I'd call it a good bit of fun combined with illustrating an actual scene that can happen in the adventure combined with biology. Sure, there's a bit of titillation going on there, but at the same point, when someone takes off their armor... that's what's underneath! (EDIT: Since Sean didn't order or create that particular piece of art, it's not REAL irony anyway.)

Cappa DOES get +2 internet points for catching us in a contradiction, though, I suppose.

I like how the priestess acts like the Muslim big sister to protect the interest of the "younger" sister! LOL! (only here, the "young" sister is actually the age of her great grandmother, and knew full well what would happen when she rubbed against the fighter...)

:P

You are, of course, assuming Kyra's putting that robe ONTO Merisiel. Who's to say she's not taking it off? ;-)

Who? well, the fact that the frame wasn't drawn by a bad anime artist... ;)

Oh, bad anime... BAD anime I say... bad anime who sustains young geeky engineering or science students who are not popular with the ladies... :P

The fighter's not their problem. Look more closely at those bits of the picture that do not contain hot nekkid female iconics (or hot nekkid male iconics, depending on your preferences)

Definetly. They're demons. They sodomise everything they can get their hands on. If it's Good and pretty and innocent, so much the better, but that's not a must. Where do you think fiendish scorpions and the like come from.

I'm not opposed to women with meat on them myself :D

Though as a side note, the gnome is the hottest character done in the race picture (and no it's not a contradiction as I'm open to all types ... though the fact that the gnome is like 4ft nothing raises questions. Eh who cares, my wife's like 5ft so it's close enough).

I prefer the old illo's better for most everything though (dwarfs look better now and the gnomes about the same). I miss the super sized elf ears though. Reminded me of Lodoss Wars with Pirotess and Deedlit. I prefer that style myself but meh, that's just me.

Still looking forward to this book though. Can't wait to pick it up.

Well looking at this they can't sodomize much of anything. Maybe that's why they're evil?

What are you talking about? That Glabrezu has a perfectly serviceable claw right there.

Here's what I thought of when I saw that picture...

I am a bad, bad man...

Little known fact: a glabrezu's genitals are on his back. You can even see it in the picture.

Nah, I think that's a piece of Val's armour.

First thing you learn in fighter school, really: You can go for heavy metal in your protection, but if you do, never fight anything with can openers for arms.

I wouldn't call that irony.

I'd call it, "Sean is making a dry joke, referring to the Seoni Holiday Card hooplah from last year."

Has it been that long?

Anyway, that was a blast. You should do something like that again real soon. Like, for the PFRPG release.

It made my Christmas. I really enjoyed it. I don't think everyone had as much fun as you and I though, KaeYoss, particularly those who were singled out and accused of being racist and sexist.

I'm a racist. I love races. Horse races, car races - you name it.

Wait, that's not what racist means? Oh.

Yeah, I'm a racist sometimes. There's days when I hate the human race.

And I had as much fun with those small minds as with the picture.

Since the Prince of Demons has gotten himself a pair of trousers that might be about to change...

Could you support that with an image? Otherwise, I'm going to assume they wear 'denim demon' jeans.

Cruel. I would have accepted this one. Much less grotesque.
