Marrala pulls out some copper pieces, and starts playing coppers on the wall, seeing how close she can get them to the edge of the wall while she waits.

don't worry bout me, this is what we decided to do, so let them scout

Male Halfling Rogue 2

Sorin looks back at Marra tossing her coins at the wall. "If we go in tonight there will probably be more children inside. Once the fighting starts at best they will only be in the way and they might not be hurt badly, at worst we might be fighting small children."

jumps in surprise drawing half-drawing her blade

"Ah, you startled me, where'd you come from?"

After Alistar does a brief scan from the rooftop, he makes his way back to Pavo as Pavo says, There is indeed a barge in the back though the children are most likely being held in the main building. If we can get inside, I don't think we will have to worry about the children too much. If we can free them, then they might even help us take on there former 'employers'. As some of you know, a gang of children can make a strong force.

" Tonight ? May I remind you that I didn't pray this morning knowing I would have to combat . Also , I would like to have time to go and take my ceremonial glaive from home them . buying an armor would have been a plus but if we decide to attack now , I can go without . "

Glad to see you back, robin! Hopefully, we can get Dorran back over with the rest of you shortly, and you'll all figure out what you're gonna do next.

"Maybe but if we attack in the dark of night they might not know that we are there to help them at first. We might be a rival gang trying to take out all of Lamms people for all they know." Sorin turns to Clandru, "If you are unprepared I think we should wait until tomorrow morning to strike. Lamm and his men are not going to be easily defeated so we she be as ready as we can be."

Dorran meets back up with the Sorin and as they head back he describes briefly what he saw to the hafling.

Upon meeting back up with the others Dorran goes into greater detail about the docks There's double doors to the south and a set of old stairs down to the river in the east where there is a second door into the building. There's also some carts with tarcaked barrel marked with red paint and an awful smell of what I assume is brine and week dead fish

Dorran waits for everyone to relate to what they found out and when the topic comes up about when they should head out Dorran adds As much as I would prefer to leave now, lets give our brother here this said with a gesture to Clandru the chance to prepare what he needs to and it gives us the chance to absorb all we have learned. We should meet here a couple hours before sunrise.

Male Chelaxian Cleric 1

I'm sorry , Dorran but the traditional hour of prayer for clerics of Abadar is one hour before the stores open to customers .
Furthermore , would it not be profitable for one of us to observe the place during the day just to know who is there other than our target ?
I'm afraid I don't know how to be inconspicious but maybe one of us would volunteer for such work .

"Lamm thinks I am dead and I haven't been around him for six years so I could hide out and observe. Pavo could also make some inquires posing as merchant interesting in the fish they sell."

Male Human Rogue 4 AC:18 T:14 FF:14 / HP:16 / Init:+4 / F:+2 R:+8 W:+2 / CMD:19

"I would reconsider an attempt on the Fishery during the day. The Korvosan Guard prescence is most likely more ready during the day and even though we are going after a crimelord in Korvosa, we must still have lawful reasons, i.e. proof, to be going in and making a citizen's arrest. As such, I feel it better to make a move on the place in the wee hours of the night, when everyone is settled and possibly off-guard, then around the day when businees would be in full swing," Pavo says, adding his two copper worth to the discussion about the plan of attack.

Male Human Ranger Level 1

Dorran looks around at the assembled group and thinks to himself if we wait to long Gaedren could catch wind of any investigation. His spies are many and not all are so easily identified. With the patience of one trained in the military says in an even tone but with a fierce look " Do what you must priest but do not expect any least of all me to wait for long when the man that has ruined so many lives runs around free while I have in my possession the location and the means to help bring it to an end."

"Priest you lay too much on the letter of the law, if this city made your religion illegal, would you cease to be a priest, flee or fight the wrong?"

Male Chelaxian Cleric 1

I would continue being a priest of course and by my acts try to convince people the law must be changed . Understand me , there are several things I would like to change in Korvosa but these things take time. you can't convince people to change their ways overnight .
But that's neither here or there

To resume , are we all aggreed Sorin will spy the fishery tomorrow and that we'll regroup here near midnight to attack ?

Male Halfling Rogue 2

Sorin bites back his impatiences "That is fine, I would rather we were prepared than rush in blind."

"Agreed, we've waited this long Sorin, we can wait a few more hours..."

Male Halfling Rogue 2

In the discussion thread I suggested that we do the next 8-10 hours as a one post update from Malvoisin if the is ok with everyone and of course the GM. Then everyone can get the spells and gear they need in a montage sort of post and we can skip back to the fishery all prepared.

Male Human Ranger Level 1

"Good luck halfling, see you upon your return" is all Dorran said. Then pausing for a moment to look at his newly found friend adds "Careful my friend, been far too long since the last time I saw you and I dont want to have to make up any more" This last appears almost as a smile

Male Human Rogue 4 AC:18 T:14 FF:14 / HP:16 / Init:+4 / F:+2 R:+8 W:+2 / CMD:19

Pavo looks at the halfling, about to set off on his own to gather information that may help them take down the man who took his sister. Giving it some thought he looks at Alistar and gives a little nod. Upon doing such, the little capuchin makes it's way over to teh halfling's side and Pavo says, "Sorin, let Alistar accompany you, of the rest of us here, he is by far one of the stealthiest and he will be a major boon in the case that you become captured or get in some sort of trouble. He can be your eyes when you need them and our signal to come as well."

Male Halfling Rogue 2

Sorin looks back to both Pavo and Dorran, "Thanks and hopefully we will have more to go on by night fall." He puts out an arm and lets the monkey climb up on his shoulder and he hides the shudder as the monkeys tail wraps would his neck. "See you all in here at midnight." and then he turns and disappears into a nearby ally.

Guys, I'm so sorry this post is later than I wanted it to be. Like I said, I was traveling, and it just took me longer than I thought to get caught up. My apologies.

With Sorin having the last word, the newfound party of adventurers disperses for the night, each to make whatever preparations are necessary for the strike on Lamm's hideout.

Sorin spends the first two hours of the night watching the fishery, enjoying the antics of Alistar for company. But, as the darkness grows deeper and there is no sign of any activity from within the building, the halfling decides to get a little shuteye. Sorin curls up under a barrel in the nearby alley, and makes himself comfortable. He's used to sleeping on the streets after all.

Sorin awakens to find Alistar the monkey jumping up and down and chattering in his ear. Rubbing his eyes, Sorin sees that the sun is just beginning to rise. With Alistar in tow, the halfling looks to the fishery and sees about half a dozen small shapes slink away from the loading dock, and scatter out into the city. Little Lamms, he knows well. Children driven by fear into the streets, with the mandate from Lamm to bring back as many valuables as they can grab.

Sorin continues to watch throughout the day, and on three occasions, wagons pull up to the loading dock. Their contents are hidden in barrels, but the overpowering stench of rotten fish makes it all too clear what the wagons are delivering. In each case, the delivery is handled by a well-dressed man with blonde hair. Sorin can't overhear the conversations, but in each case more children come out to unload the reeking barrels, while the blonde man shouts contemptuously at them. One 'child' also seems to be doing a lot of bossing the others around, and none of the heavy lifting. Sorin can't help but wonder if this is his old gnome nemesis, Hookshanks. He can't be sure from here. In any case, the drivers of the wagons are paid and then depart without incident.

As evening approaches, the Little Lamms surreptitiously return to the fishery alone or in pairs, most of them with a sack slung over their shoulders to enter by the loading dock. A little while after the last urchin has returned, the fishery goes dark and all remains quiet. As the hour draws closer to midnight, Sorin begins to look down the street for the return of his companions.

Male Halfling Rogue 2

Sorin finds a crap in the ally and climbs up and sits down. He pulls out a piece of bread and breaks off a piece for Alister. "Thanks for the help my little friend, now we just wait for everyone else to show up."

Marra approaches the rendezvous point a few minutes early.

Blade freshly sharpened, ready to go...

She tries to sneak up on Sorin...

Looking this way and that amoung the shadows of the buildings with a hand on his blade, Dorran makes his way to the meeting spot. His armor in black with a longbow over his shoulder and swords at his waist. A serious look on his face leaves no clue as to whats going through the rangers mind.

Upon meeting up with the others Dorran whispers "Hey guys" he looks around quickly and notes " we still waiting for a few?"

Male Human Rogue 4 AC:18 T:14 FF:14 / HP:16 / Init:+4 / F:+2 R:+8 W:+2 / CMD:19

Pavo approaches the rendevous point and gets a feel on how Alistar is feeling. When he feels the excitement and tastes bread, the young sorceror decides that it is probably safe. Entering the alley just down the street from the fishery, Pavo simply nods his head to the others there. The smile that was plastered on his face back in Zellar's home has vanished, replaces with grim determination at what they were about to do. "So what did you find out Sorin?"

Male Halfling Rogue 2

Sorin hops down from the crate, "Wells during the day it looks like business as usual. Several of the children leave in the morning to steal for Lamm and the rest stay here and work. If we attack during the day there will be fewer children."

"If we attack now we might be able to get to Lamm or some of his men before they raise the alarm."

"That sounds familiar doesn't it Sorin, if I remember correctly after we spent all night performing, sleep took us pretty deeply, at least he gave us enough time to get some rest, probably so we'd make less mistakes during the performance..."

"When does the hammer fall?"

Whispers to Sorin and Dorran

Spoiler:
"I don't plan on letting Lamm walk out of there, what do we do if the priest interferes?"

Male Chelaxian Cleric 1

Clandru has taken the day equiping himself . He approach the meeting point with caution and smiles when he sees everyone .
`Sorry if I`m late . Sorin, could you repeat what you discovered if you already told the others ? '
Once Sorin (I assume) did so, he`ll ask for details .
`I`m thinking it would be best to attack at dawn just after the children are left to roam outside. Now, I am no tactician and will defer to Doran on this point.

"Defer to Dorran? DEFER to ....What?! the girl's not a good enough tactician for you priest?"

Male Human Ranger Level 1

"I like the idea of night attack myself. But either option has its ups and downs. Either way we must get this done with." Turning to the halfling and then the rest of the group Dorran says " Sorin take the lead, Marrala follow behind, I will take the rear. Pavo and Clandru follow behind her" Dorran's military training is serving him well here, his orders are not said with an authoritive tone but rather a suggestive one

Sorin smiles, "Easy Marra, he is the one that has been going to a FANCY military school and everything." he tells her, his voice thick with sarcasm. Sorin finishes with throwing that last of his bread at his old friend.

"Well lets go, worst case scenario we are discovered early and we will be able to slip way in the dark. Shall we enter through the front door or through the barge?"

"Ah yes Sorin, I suppose that's true, I forgot about Dorran's new choice of vocation. I suppose that's the reason the priest chose to follow Dorran, so I must forgive him...this time..."

Just let me know what part of the fishery you want to try to enter through, and I'm ready to move forward.

Male Human Rogue 4 AC:18 T:14 FF:14 / HP:16 / Init:+4 / F:+2 R:+8 W:+2 / CMD:19

Pavo observed the small debate with slight amusement as they all figured out when and how was the best way to attack the fishery. However, deep down, the young sorceror was becoming anxious. Alexandria was somewhere in that fishery, and he was gonna find her.

"I say we attack now and we attack through an entrance away from the street. As it is, attacking a place of business is a crime so we want to do what we can to avoid the Guard."

Male Chelaxian Cleric 1

´The ship seems a good idea to me. And Sorin is right, Marala , that was my reasons to choose , Dorran. Other than the fact you're still young and I thought had less experience than him ...

Male Halfling Rogue 2

"Ok the walkway to the right leads to the ship and last night the way was clear to the door. Stay to the shadows, be as quiet as possible and follow me."

Sorin darts across the street and heads down the walkway.

I will wait at the edge of the barge for everyone to get with in view.

Maralla will wait til Sorin is in position, watching from across the way, then will follow up, trying to be as quiet as fighterly possible.

Yeah, sorry guys...I'm SNEEEEEEAKING (1d20=6)-4 for armor = 2

Marrala stumbles into a box, knocking it over...

Clandru tries to be discreet as well

Dorran waits till everyone else is over before looking back to make sure no was following and makes his way across to the group aslo staying in the shadows and moving as silently as possible

Pavo tells Alistar to move ahaed and keep an eye out for any guards in the Fishery that might notice them. Then he will head towards the Fishery, following Marrala.

This is it. I just pray that Alex is still alive and well.

Pavo's Stealth 11

Alistar's Stealth 24

With the plan finally set, Sorin sets out quietly in the lead across the street toward the fishery. Alistar the monkey scampers at his feet under Pavo's orders.

As Marra begins to follow she stumbles into a box, and it falls to the ground with a thump. Everyone freezes for a moment, but the night remains quiet. With a sigh of relief, the others approach the boardwalk.

The group moves carefully, in single file, across the slick wooden planks, which groan alarmingly under the weight of each of the heavier humans. Sorin can only shake his head and curse under his breath at the racket. Still, the group somehow manages to reach the barge without raising any alert. Dorran follows up the rear to make sure they haven't been seen by any sentries, but all seems clear.

Sorin hops over onto the deck of the barge once again, ready to lead the way into the cabin. When the heavier Marra steps over onto the deck, however, a large part of it gives way in a sudden crash of rotten wood!

REF save for Marra: 16+3=19

With sharp reflexes, Marra jumps back away from the gaping hole to a sturdier part of the deck, panting slightly at her close call. A shower of rotten wood splinters rains down into the dark hold of the barge below.

Everyone looks toward the fishery, but there is no obvious sound or movement from within.

Anyone else want to step onto the deck?

Male Halfling Rogue 2

Sorin watches Marra pull herself back from the hole in the deck. Damn maybe it is the front door after all. he thinks as he moves his gaze to the group in the walkway.

Marra breathes a sign of relief that she did not fall in the water...

whispers "this way seems unsafe"

Marrala the Lost wrote:

Actually, Marra would have fallen down into the hold of the barge, some 10 feet below.

Marrala the Lost wrote:

Then she looks through the hole, oh, I would have fallen into the hold of the barge...she thought.

Male Halfling Rogue 2

"Hold up a second I will see if this will even lead anywhere", Sorin lights his hooded lamp and opens the door letting the lamp light the rooms looking to see if this even leads down into the barge.
