I wouldn't mind seeing a well-drawn grick. One of my favorite monsters. If you feel like it and all...

There's actually a lot of monsters I could use illustrations for, but I can't ask here because they're for an upcoming book. Very awesome thread though.

you can ask for a "paid" commission ;)

Well, you're already working on Strategists and Tacticians, are you not?

Besides, no budget. :( Anyway, Rob and Connie have a good stable of artists already set. I was just thinking, it'd be great to have free art but you can't publish that.

So what's your non-screen name? Alan? ;)

Nah, I'm the contributing writer behind Paths of Power, Luven Lightfinger's Gear & Treasure Shop, and a less contributor on the Book of Divine Magic.

Hugo, just want to say how thrilled I am with your take on the faerie dragon I commissioned. You really captured the "1st Edition" feel with the drawing, and please feel free to share it with the class!

Here yuo go:

Patrick Curtin's Faerie Dragon commisson.

My wife loved thios one and she hardly "loves" any of my drawings :)

That's fantastic! I really like the botanical flourishes to it.

That could make a template for a good tattoo for some folks, IMHO.

I actually had to go find the original article in Dragon, scan the artwork and send it off to Hugo for inspiration. It was WORTH IT! The best representation of this monster ever \m/

I guy just say that tattoo idea in dA... Not a bad idea at all

I was inspired to contribute to this thread. Carborundum's ship monster idea just sparked an image. Hope someone likes it.animatited ship monster

Blame CJ for it! He starts it and the drops the ball :D

Here's a monster I did for Rite Publishing just to bump the thread

Bullette

I hope you like it!

in order to bump this threasd out of the dreaded archives, I present the Great canis pavoleo

which is the genetic "abominababy" of a lion, a doberman, and a peacock

post more stuff g'dammit

BUMP!

Aborynt dragon for Vikking. This one is his own creation, I hope he hares the stats ;)

Sczarni

PSST! I thin kthis thread cannot fully die until there is a starpanda picture here (although I think one was pasted elsewhere at some point)

I prob got a few monsters i can show. In my current game my char is keeping a sketchbook of her adventure. My next project is a gnome of the fae bloodline, at the request of a party member.

Here is what I got so far, im open for request as well.
waterway foes
Minotaur
Krenshar
Grimlock
Kobold

Is this thing still going on? I really like the idea of this, in that way I can (possible) finally give flesh to my Symplegades idea.

The drawing I would like:
Symplegades - While in mythology they are two giant rocks that want to crush boats seen in the Argonauts my idea is a somewhat more golem-like creature.

I would like to see a painting of two twin stone/rock golem creatures both having one normal arm and one arm deformed into a huge crushing-shield-like thing, both have the deformed arm on the opposite site of eachother, so one golem has its right arm deformed and the other has its left arm deformed so they can crush enemies and victims between them.

FOr a small detail you could place them next to eachother with blood and flesh-parts hanging and dripping from their shield-arms like they just crushed a victim.

The shield should not be a shield a knight uses, more like a deformed spike/rock shield that only vaguely resembles a shield.

I hope somebody can help me!
