I tried to kill the leader of the GODK's cult but somewhere she has hidden cloning facilities.

Lynora-Jill sputters indignantly as she is thrown into the tent. Hey! It's not like I'm totally helpless. I can help, darn it. Oh, she realizes that JH has been hurt and quickly casts an appropriate healing spell. (Not sure if it would be cure moderate or repair moderate, what with the earth powers and all.)

Oh dear. The goddess was always coming up with all of these seemingly helpful gadgets that would actually destroy everything if they were widely used. This is probably one of those.

If everyone gets inside WJ will seal it. Even if the outside is destroyed it won't matter. Warning - evil characters should not try to cross the threshold.

Plantjack snatches Lynora and JH, before they can stop him, and tosses them into the tent. He turns to the dwarf and MJ.

"Come, you two! Kobold Cleaver can handle this!"

Malice looks up at the animate houseplant

Now look here Seymour. I don't just run from a fight. What is going on here?

KC blasts the wolf again, but the wolf is unharmed. It leaps, about three meters away. KC staggers, as if the wolf had not missed. He fires again, but it fizzles as he trips and falls. The wolf goes in for the kill. KC somehow manages to hit the wolf, which staggers back.
Nobody interfere here, 'kay? If they try to, Plant will hold them back.

Plantjack sighs.

"Trust me, you fool! This fight is beyond us!"
He grabs MJ and throws him into the tent. He leaps in after.
"Seal the door."

Hey have a ball dude

Malice stands back watching the fracas

MAN! Take a siesta and the whole world falls down around yer head!

Tell me about it. It's been an afternoon full of fun surprises. she says sarcastically.

KC leaps up, and grabs his staff. He twirls it in his adept hands.
"I need no magic to kill you!" He shouts angrily.
The wolf howls, and KC's image is distorted. He is blasted back, into the tent.

Warforged:

Spoiler:
What happens when an evil creature hits the tent again? I'll need to know.

Warforged:** spoiler omitted **

Spoiler:
Bascially a positive-negative energy thing. Your call how big a boom, or banishment. Usually small evil -push back. Bigger evil bigger reaction

Since we're obviously going to be stuck in here awhile...
*casts summon cooler*
*Rummages around in cooler for a minute. Pulls out a large bottle of tequila.*
Anyone care for a drink?

Oh Watt yes! Make mine a double!

Upon hitting the tent, Kobold Cleaver explodes. A glow appears, the glow of the soul retreating to the phylactery. The wolf suddenly looks up, and howls.
The Wasp appears. Before he can react, the raven snatches the cleaver. And brings it down on the hard floor.
It is not destroyed. It is too powerful. But then, the raven speaks words of magic, and...
...nothing happens. But then, a screaming starts. The screaming of a dying soul. The raven smiles, and turns to the tent.

"It is done. The kobold is finally destroyed. Long has he clung to life, selfishly, foolishly. But no longer. He is dead, and with him dies your greatest ally!"
The raven disappears, along with the wolf.
....
.....
Dun. Dun. Dun.

'Prentis! The blue steel shot glasses and tumblers please!

No need for ice, Mistr...Miss.

Damn, that's not good.

LJ is in the process of pouring a drink for Malice Jack when she hears the scream. She drops the bottle and looks up stricken.
I know that scream. It means death. The goddess loves that sound.

WJ mutters and the walls of the Forge shimmers and become clear. The scene of the battle is revealed.

The more time LJ spends in the Forge the more she feels it is familiar. The Celestial Battlefield Hospitals work in a similar manner.

Wasp staggers back.
"By...the...BOARD!!! KOBOLD CLEAVER!!!"

Seeing the kobold's demise, a tear trickles down her cheek. I know he betrayed me, well all of us really, but he still didn't deserve to die like that. If he'd only listened to his own advice and let us help him...

Holy crap!

Malice downs the drink LJ just gave him

Did KC just bite it?

If that thing is working with our enemies, I would not have been harmed. Unless it's a total idiot, in which case I'd be dead, but you'd all be much, much safer.

WJ speaks the command and the tent flap appears. It is surreal, staring at a tent flap with no visible tent.

Mistress, *the dwarf doesn't correct himself this time*, it would please me much if you would accept some protection. Especially if you are going to throw yourself in harm's way. These bracers will protect you as if you were in full armor. They can store your energy and release it as you direct. They have seen war before and have not failed their masters or mistresses.

The dwarf wipes a layer of dust off of a rosewood box embossed with a scene of celestials and demons at war. Inside is a set of bracers every bit as detailed as JH's hammer. One a lion's head and neck, the other an eagle's.

Your arms slip thru the throats there.

Sorry sir, I never said where the inspiration for your hammer came from.

Thank you, Warforged Jack, she says, obviously touched by his gift. I would be honored to accept your gift.
She slips the bracers onto her wrists.

If you would, they should be bonded. It awakens them.

He leads her to the stone urn in which the liquid light is stored

Okay, what am I supposed to do? she asks, looking at the light bemusedly.

lynora-Jill wrote:

Place your arms into the liquid. It will not harm you.

LJ shrugs and places her arms into the liquid as instructed.

The feeling of a thousand spiders crawling up your arms

The dwarf signals you to raise your arms, and mutters in a strange but partly familiar tongue

Warforged Jack wrote:

Is it supposed to feel like that? she asks, a little disturbed by the extremely itchy sensation.

Malice pours another drink for himself

Anyone want a shot? Man I can't believe the little bugger's gone...

Yes. It will pass. These are Leaena and Aquila.

When LJ raises her arms the heads on the bracers spring to life. The lion head changes to that of a female lioness, and the eagle's head changes slightly. It is strange seeing your hands coming out of the mouths of the two sky metal beasts. They begin to roar and screech, oblivious to the arms in their throats.

JH's hammer springs to life to answer in kind, startling him.

After a brief moment they stop and become metal once again.

Malice Jack wrote:

After that a double for me.

After very politely thanking WJ again, LJ pulls another bottle of tequila out of the cooler.
I think this is going to require more than one bottle.
She pours out shots for everyone.

The bracers are removable if you wish. Too long without your touch though and they might get moody.

It seems as if you fully awakened them. That has not happened in a very long time.

Oh. That's not normal? Huh. Is there anything special I should know about them?

The liquid magic works differently with each person, as do the bracers. They shape their powers from you. And your needs. For example, in the Battle for Hell's Forge they formed a shield to protect the hero Therius from a blade of fire, wielded by a Balrog.

I do not know why the bracers and JH's hammer responded to each other so strongly. I suppose... the dwarfs' face turns beet red

It will be interesting to see what they do then, she says, trying to delicately steer the conversation away from a subject that the dwarf clearly finds embarrassing.

Would you like some tequila?

Thank you but I think I need a shot of Slag. It is something we smiths drink on special occasions. It's very potent, but I can pour you all some as well.

Think Everclear

Thank you. I think I would like some. Turns to JH If I pass out, the lipstick of sobriety is tucked into my bra. Just in case you need to revive me quickly.

Slag feels as if you just drank lava, but WJ seems very solemn about it. He toasts the fallen, even though he was a lich.

Malice leans over to WJ

I'll take a shot of that slag too noble smithy!

LJ downs her shot of Slag. She sways slightly.
Thatsh...got quite a kick. Hic.

Malice Jack wrote:

The blue steel shotglasses are unable to cool the Slag. It seems as if they're the only container able to hold it.

Quick drunk if you don't throw up.

Malice is feeling no pain after the shots of Tequila and Slag.

Hey, you thin ..thin ..think you can teleport us to Club Calistria LJ? No offenshe WJ, but this tent is kinda shmall an' I feel an urge to go clubbing ...

*those in the tent hear someone tap on it. Oroth's voice drifts past the fabric*
"Um, I think it's safe for you to come out. That wolf's gone."

A thunderous snoring comes from the tent.

Lynora-Jill wakes up/comes to with a miserable headache. One quick 'neutralize poison' later, and she feels much better. She tries to get up and realizes that her wing is pinned under JH's arm. She gently pulls it free. Ugh. She really feels the need for a shower. And a change of clothes. She heads to her room and grabs a quick shower and a change of clothes. After all that rest, she doesn't feel like sitting around all night. Definitely time to go to the club.
