Hey everyone. I received 359 today, and while it looks like it's an awesome finish for my beloved magazine, I'm a little confused: on the cover it says in the top right corner "Giant Post Inside!". I can't actually find any posters in or around the magazine proper, however. Am I just blind, or did some crazed mailman make off with my geek poster?
Also, now that I've received 359, it's made quite clear that I have not received 358, which is a bit distressing. Should I wait longer, or sould I get a replacement for that?
Thanks

I'll get a replacement poster and Dragon #358 shipped out to you as soon as possible.
Thanks,

Your #359 should have come in a sealed bag, and would have also contained a poster of the entirely of Wayne Reynold's Incursion mural on one side and the covers of every issue of Dragon and Dungeon that Paizo specifically published.
Being that I'm a Canadian subscriber, it appears that the magazine was opened at customs and resealed (as it has a piece of paper with Canada Post postage on it), and they must've left out the poster when they repackaged.

The magazines are shipped directly from the printer, who recently partnered with a Canadian reshipper that basically gets all the magazines for Canadian addresses and then packs and ships them out.
That's why there's a Canada Post sheet in the shrink wrap.
Hopefully they didn't neglect the poster maps in all of the Canadian magazines. That would be bad.

Looks like there might be a bit of an issue north of the border. I'm in exactly the same situation as Gryffin. I received Dragon issue 359 today and there was no poster included. Also, like Gryffin, I have not received issue 358 yet. If you guys could give me a hand, I'd really appreciate it.
Thanks in advance.

I'd like to submit this for the Understatement of the Month Contest, if I may?

Thanks Cos!
I just wanted to say that I've been a subscriber since issue 107 when I had to save up money from my paper route to pay for it. Over all these years, I've had very few problems with my subscriptions and even less when the magazine was under the control of Paizo. The few problems I've had have been dealt with promptly, professionally, and with courteous apologies.
You guys have done a great job and it will be missed.

I hear you on the Canadian issue. I haven't received issues 358 or 359 either. I've worn a path in the carpet running to the mailbox constantly.
Your Dragon 358 is definitely KIA by now, but your Dragon 359 is only MIA at this point. The previous posters had both received their Dragon 359. Please let me know when your Dragon 359 shows, and I will get a replacement for 358 sent out to you.
Thanks,
cos

Yep, same here north of the border. The 49th parallell must have some sort of anti-poster sorcery going on! I also haven't received #358 (but was waiting, as in the past they've just been late). There may be something to the repackagers missing something.

So, what is the poster in 359?
Because I got mine the other day with no poster too (In Canada), and I e-mailed customer service, and got a response that you guys are swamped.
Then I got my Dungeon 150 today, with the poster map. and I realized that of course, the map of mystery poster is in dungeon, and the poster in Dragon is... something else. And i might not need it.
Like if it's the poster of all the covers that I got a copy of at Gen Con. Or possibly even if it's some lovely piece of art that I have nowhere to hang up.
So I might be able to save you the shipping trouble and expense if the poster is not that important.
EDIT: Hmmm... I just looked back and realized that I never got #358 either. I definitely sense a theme.

Draconic Mage,
I'll get a replacement Dragon 358 and Dragon 359 poster shipped out to you as soon as possible.
Scribe,
So...
Did you get 358? Do you need a replacement poster? What is the air-speed velocity of an unladen African Swallow?
Answers to these questions and more will prompt this Operative into further activity...
Thanks,
cos

Rambling Scribe wrote:Hopefully they didn't neglect the poster maps in all of the Canadian magazines. Had I lived in Afghanistan, would I have recieved it sooner AND with a poster?
Disapointing ending...

1) I've gone back and double-checked, and I did not get #358.
2) I got a copy of the poster at Gen Con, so I don't need another one.
3) Blue... no Pink!
Thanks!

Unfortunatly it doesn't seem to be just Canada where the posters went missing from Dragon 359. I received both last issues today, and while the poster for Dungeon 150 was there, the Dragon Poster was missing.

Wrote in the Toronto thread, but looks like this is a pandemic of missing 358s and posters. Gatineau citizen here, (right accross the river from Ottawa) and I too have not goten these goods. Although 359 arrived last week (without said poster). I was just about to rebuy 358, thinking some unscrupulous fellow had nabbed it from my mail box like my 329 and 352 Dragons that never showed up but the mail man said he delivered.
I'll wait and see what devellops before buying 358 again.

Hi everyone,
Thank you for getting us this information! We're currently looking into what may or may not have happened concerning Dragon #358 and the giant poster from #359, and appreciate your continued patience.
Currently, we're incredibly swamped. Please rest assured that we will make sure that you are taken care of, and that you receive your magazine/poster!

Dear Paizo,
I was saddened by the fact that my last issue of Dragon showed on my doorstep this morning, but was more angered by the fact that I've yet to recieve issue #358 or the poster from issue #359.
I am going to sorely miss the physical versions of Dungeon and Dragon (both of which I've subscribed to since the introduction of 3.0), but I am NOT going to miss how long these magazines would take to get to me. Canada and the US share the worlds largest unguarded border, yet it can take more than a month, on average, for issues of magazines to cross this border.
I've kept a spreadsheet of the standard shipping delays since the Nov 04 issues and here is a synopsis of my results.
Dragon
Avg days between release and reciept -- 31 with a std dev of 16.29
Dungeon
Avg days between release and reciept -- 27 with a std dev of 13.91
This would often mean that you were releasing two more issues before I would recieve the first.
And if you take just the stats since the January issues of this year, the avg # of days have significantly increased for both magazines (46 for Dragon and 39 for Dungeon). Almost makes me glad that my subscription is ending, as I'd probably switch to getting them from my local game store, even tho' it might cost me significantly more.
Please advise me of the following
1) should I wait for my issue of #358 or will you ship a replacement?
2) how and when can I expect the replacement poster from issue #359?
3) will Pathfinder have the same lengthy delays?
I thank you for your 5 years of an excellent pair of magazines and must admit that all issues I've had in the past have been quickly and professionally resolved.
Sincerely,
Trevor Chapman

Hi,
I'm an Australian subscriber and I just received Dragon #359 today... missing the poster even though it was in a sealed bag :(
I have not yet received Dragon #358 or Dungeon #150, but I'm guessing they should be here soon, seeing as #359 has arrived. Anyway, the main issue was the missing post.
Thanks :)

Dranem |

I've already placed my missing items notes in other posts.
I bet there's somebody, sitting at the Canadian fulfillment office, looking at boxes of posters, wondering what they were suppose to do with them.... because it seems that pandemic of an issue.
In the past 4 years that I've subscribed to your fine magazines, I can count at least 2 delivery issues per year in which I've had to request re-mailing of failed deliveries. A few times I've received issues nearly a month late. In fact this year I got February, March and April issues all in the last week of March. Seeing as I got all the issues, I never complained, I had gotten used to the fact that most gaming stores had the mags on their shelves weeks before mine ever came in the mail.
My lamentations of deliveries aside, I WILL miss them dearly, and thank you for the wonderful (though not always useful) D&D content over the past years.

Hi Cosmo,
I received the confirmation about Dragon 358 and the poster, but for some reason the address is my brother's (I sent him Dragon for Christmas 2006), but I can't seem to change it in my profile. The order number is 799005, and it should ship to the Orangeville address in my profile.
Thanks,

Hey guys. Got Dragon #359 in the mail on Friday and finally had a chance to chew through it. Great last issue. I almost shed a tear at Andy Hou's little mouse waving goodbye on the Sage Advice page. Problem is, until I stumbled across this thread, I too was perplexed at the promise of a "Giant Poster Inside!", so just to loop the broken record again:
• Canadian subscriber
• No poster with #359
• Have yet to receive Dragon #358
• Have yet to receive Dungeon #150
I bet there's somebody, sitting at the Canadian fulfillment office, looking at boxes of posters, wondering what they were suppose to do with them....
Too true; it's a damned shame something had to go haywire in the execution of the finale. :-/
While all this gets straightened out, I'm excitedly anticipating the arrival of Pathfinder #1.
