In which Paul McCartney does big band covers of tracks from 'Ram', because he's Paul McCartney, and he can.
If being an "authentic" artist is doing the stuff you want to do, McCartney deserves a lot more credit than he gets*. He released a waltz as a single, for one thing. And it got to #1 in the charts.
*Obviously having the money and artistic credibility associated with being a Beatle helps with making that possible, but still.

There are two sides to this, of course - it also meant that we had to put up with 'The Frog Chorus', 'Ebony and Ivory', 'Mull of Kintyre' and other gems.

I grew up in a distinctly anti-Paul household (my mom was a George fan and I liked John) and I was well into adulthood before I listed to a Wings record...and loved it.
I know he's made some shiznit, but, really, who hasn't? (A couple people, I know, but not many.)

Television Personalities--They Could Have Been Bigger Than the Beatles

Fiance's house hit the market last night (she moved in with me). So far we have 28 showing requests for the weekend and two incoming offers to purchase. A "house" mix is in order!

Little house on the prairie

RunDMC-Whose House?

Daily Musical Interludes
The Creation--"Painter Man"
--"Making Time"
Big Sean--"Bounce Back"
Cyndi Lauper--"Money Changes Everything"
Bob Dylan and Johnny Cash--"Girl from the North Country"
Drake--"Fake Love"
which I am putting last, because it is, like seven minutes of acting before the song even starts and then it's not even the mix that I hear everyday on the radio. I used to think that kind of stuff was punk rock awesome, but now that I am middle-aged I am slightly annoyed and want my radio remix!!

Sophisticated Funk - Jack McDuff
Because nothing says 'sophisticated' quite like a numeric lock strapped to the front of a young lady's crotch.
