And Cousin Mosquito, by Congress-Woman Malinda Jackson Parker, amongst other gems;
This past weekend, I took some high-powered psychedelics. At one point I felt like I should listen to some far-out trippy stuff, came here, and, much to the consternation of Mr. Comrade, who was trying to play Skyrim, spent much too much time listening to Congress-Woman Malinda Jackson and BJ Snowden.
Mr. Comrade was not amused.

Michel Sardou & Sylvie Vartan Not sure what's going on, but nice song (even if Sardou's not a great singer).
Childish Gambino (Donald Glover) - Have Some Love

Its Wednesday lets get noughty!
Heard this on the radio on the way to work yesterday; pumped it way up and rocked the f+%@ out.
Unrelated, I looked up BJ Snowden ("In Canada-- they treat you like a queen!") on wikipedia and discovered that she used to work as a music teacher at the high school three miles from my workplace.

So I guess the lawyers at Thompson Reuters are not into Chance the Rapper. My fiance came home with a couple sets of tickets for the skybox suite with free eats and dranks. Gonna enjoy this.
Speaking of Chance we love his same drugs song mostly because I like the puff puff and she prefers the edibles :)

Ja Rule while I read about Fyre fest and how it was certainly not on time.
Hee hee! There has been an explosion of comrades professing their love for Ja Rule in my Facebook feed lately.

When you're reminded of how godsbedamned spiky Suede could sound before Bernard Butler left.
Also, why didn't I put more effort into looking like Brett Anderson when I was young and relatively skinny.

Herman Hermits - No Milk Today
I've spent some time trying to write a rude version of that song, with no success so far.

Finally got my stereo system set up in my new home and, minus the use during a birthday party over the weekend, have been too busy May Daying and/or working overtime to crank it up.
Most of my records are still in storage, but grabbed a couple of boxes. Now, while doing household chores am blasting Zuma.
Nice to blast things after these past few months trying to listen to shiznit on a Chromebook.

Going to see Laura Marling tomorrow night.
Enjoy a few tracks
My manic and I
Show was great. Amazing voice and very talented guitar player. My favorite part was the end of the night. "We're not cold, we're English. We dont do encores. Goodnight" :)

One of Mr. Comrade's favorite current bands for a few years running now.
I've some friends who rave about them but I'm just not feeling it.
Drab, would be my feeling.Rather than being entirely negative, let's have fun with the words:
Future of the Left - Drink Nike
Fireside - Beautiful Island, Ugly Natives

VA – Ethiopiques Vol 1 - Golden Years Of Modern Ethiopian Music 1969-75
Have a couple volumes in this series on cd (Tlahoun Gessesse and Mahmoud Ahmed) and they were both amazing so I figured I'd use the internet to listen to the rest.

Though Henry Rollins has completed his transformation into an old, bitter a~&@&&& in the last few years, seeing the look on his face 10 years ago as he got to be the lead singer for his favorite band for one show is pretty great.
