"You're not wrong!" Ny'a agrees wholeheartedly. "I've freaking died once already... I'm not sure if I want to do it again!"

She waves her wand, though, with a light shrug and a small smile. "But I can make us fresh again!"

Which, of course, she proceeds to do, starting with Harpua before turning to any of the Pathfinders. Ny'a--much to her dismay (though she tries to hide it)--is completely unharmed. "These narrow mazes..." "No room to move..." "F&^#@ng corners..." she's heard to mutter under her breath as she gets everyone back into fighting shape.

Ny'a will use your wand or hers, doesn't matter. Roll and let me know how many charges if you use hers.

Taking a rest to heal up and refresh ourselves might be the only way we have a shot in getting out of here. what do you two think?

The leg can be put in and pulled out.

When you are heading through the portals..

As you step through the portal, for a moment there seems to be no up or down as you float in a void of blue, swirling light. With a sickening pop, you find yourself standing in the end of a twisting corridor, its walls patterned with an almost hypnotic series of repeating blue and gray stones.

So you can't "look in" and see what is on the other side, imagine it a bit like a waiting room that your body is in between the two ends of the portal.

While I could put your through the mindless process of jumping through portals until you get out... you have dealt with the most immediate dangers of the maze so therefore..[/ood]

Several nervous portal jumps later, the team finds themselves back in the room they (almost) started in.

The dead rats are still there, and a peak through the door shows the purple curtain still in place. What is different however is the previously idle portal [ooc](I) seems now to be active.

At this stage I will remind you that you can flee the terrors now if you wish.

Quote:
You will be able to, as a group, decide to leave the event should it become too deadly, at any time except while engaged in combat.

Alternatively the extra rules for playing this via PBP do allow you to try one more encounter if you so wish. The portal awaits.

Two out of three votes is enough to make the decision. That said, Ny'a's already going to have to deal with clearing the "dead" condition after this scenario; she's only up and moving due to a chronicle boon. If she dies again, she's in exactly the same situation, so she would vote yes to continuing if there weren't already a consensus to leave. Shoot, maybe we'd finally encounter something evil that she could really sink her strengths into.

After what's left of the party is fully healed, Tere arranges the bodies of the three who died in the ratfolk room. "No sense in making it harder for them to be retrieved, right?" He borrows Two Blades' light mace and Bella's wand of protection from evil. "All right. Ny'a, just in case we walk into a fight, use this wand to cast the spell on all of us. That's four charges. Once you've done that, Pau, I suggest you drink that potion you mentioned and go through first. I'll give you a five-count before I follow...if you see something you don't think we can fight, retreat through the portal if you can. Otherwise try to position yourself to support us when we follow. Before the portal

Between the two haversacks available, Ny'a gets everything of use--and not of use--stuffed away, so that it was easier to cart everything around. "We're gonna make it out of here, so it's best if everything's organized. And there's nothing like a good old magic organizer!" she says proudly, cinching the last one tight. She straps one haversack, full of mundane gear, on Deluge, and hefts the other with all her own gear along with all the goodies, on her own back.

"It seems crazy, but I'm freaking dead, and I'm still walking in there. Nothing's crazier than that!" Ny'a's glee is bright and palpable. If I wake up after this, I'll never have to worry about the Bleaching again! What a trip!!!

Floating BRAIN?!?

You've got to be kidding me. I'm gonna keep my grandkids from Bleaching just from the stories of this....

Pau stands ready while Tere fades from sight and Harpua coughs up a hairball. Ny'a stands ready to defend her valiant steed.

per: 2d20 ⇒ (6, 14) = 20

The two spiders skuttle forward on the right, one is attacked by Ny'a whose blade slides off its thick skin.
Pau, while you didn't state you were readying an attack, you had an action you could have done that in, so I'll leave you a bonus "readied" attack on your round.

They try to bite the two able pathfinders.
attack Pau AC 24: 1d20 ⇒ 9 miss
attack N'ya AC24: 1d20 ⇒ 4 miss

The next two climb forward. Unlikely for the first, it is unaware of Tere

Pau takes his sort of readied action, and becomes visible as he swings at the yellow spider.

If able, he then burns a Ki point to gain an extra attack on his flurry of flows. All the spiders made it difficult for Pau to keep his wits about him.

If we're lucky, the crit confirmation is against its flat-footed AC. GM A, if the spiders are susceptible to bleed damage the one Tere hit has two points of it.

Keep the ki point. With the failed fort, Pau won't get a standard action this round. Sorry, no crit confirm.

Pau lands a solid blow on the spider close to him, but then reels back from something unseen by the others.

"Iomedae, guide my arm!" Ny'a blurts as she swings haphazardly at the spider in front of Pau. She quickly pats Harpua on the back to check how the dog is doing, and points out the same spider, hoping her dog is well enough to try a bite.
