Dreamscarred Press brings psionics to the Pathfinder RPG !

Psionics. Nothing seems to cause more controversy among RPG gamers than the topic of magical effects created with your mind. Back in the day, I had one player who gained psionics when he rolled the required "00" during character creation. It didn't really play much of a role in the campaign until the party ran into mind flayers while playing Descent into the Depths of the Earth. But as the editions rolled onward, psionics found its niche, and devoted fans wanted more. Much more. Dreamscarred Press took up the third-party banner back in the 3E days, and now they're bringing their mind-blowing mojo to bear on the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game with their latest release, Psionics Unleashed!

Tap into the mysteries of psionics, using sheer force of will to allow psionic characters to let loose power to rival any physical force or magical energy. In this book you'll find the secrets of psionics, the magic of the mind. There are four 20-level psionic base classes: the psion, psychic warrior, soulknife, and wilder; nine psionic prestige classes, including the elocater and the thrallherd; eight psionic races to create new characters; dozens of psionic feats for psionic characters of all classes; and hundreds of psionic powers ranging from precognition to reality revision. Psionics Unleashed contains everything needed to easily integrate psionics into any Pathfinder Roleplaying Game campaign, including characters, items, monsters, and powers.

One of our next big projects is a revision of Third Dawn and making it pfrpg compatible. One of the big things being discussed is getting some maps made.

That sounds purty.

This is now on the to buy list, once I get the money.

Thanks for the support guys!

Regarding Third Dawn: It is being updated, expanded, polished and perfected. A print version will come once we're done with all of that. It is being developed side by side with the coming Psionics Expanded, so as to make sure we keep things in Third Dawn synced with the new Pathfinder rules.

Already ordered from the DSP website (I hate waiting).

This is a work of art. Fixes for problems that were asked but we were Waiting on that Company to answer. DSP took some of their best elements and worked it into the core classes, changed/tweaked/improved the races and cleared up the powers.

I'll note they didn't take my suggestion and put the Metacap in bright red 'moon landing sized' type on its own page, though. :-)

If only the Mind's Eye was open content... *sad panda*

While Mind's Eye made not be open content, it can still be used for inspiration, and sometimes that far better than just an update anyway.

Here's hoping everyone loves the new soulknife.

It did get its own sidebar, though. :)

Congrats to the folks at Dreamscarred on getting this out.

WANT! What is Third Dawn anyway?

Third Dawn is Dreascarred Press's psionics-in-place-of-magic campaign setting. It was originally done with the 3.5 rules (I believe), and they are currently working on updating it to Pathfinder RPG rules. Hope this helps! :)

Dreamscarred Press

Like Rhys said, Third Dawn is our all-psionic campaign setting, designed for 3.5. There's also a True 20 version. We're working on an update that will do two things: decouple the setting from any specific rules system, and update the mechanics for the setting to Pathfinder. :)

Are you looking at the Freeport route? A book of fluff then rule specific books of crunch?

Love it :) ! Third Dawn sounds cool too !
What is true 20 anyways ?

That's exactly what we're looking to do. Expand the fluff book - since right now, it's only about 100 pages without all the mechanics - and then have a book that contains all the crunch.

Big, huge, enormous thanks to the staff at Paizo for this blog post, but especially to the fans. Psionics Unleashed is currently the #9 top seller here at the Paizo site. :)

It's now up to #8... and is also the only non-Paizo product in the top ten. I kinda think there's a bit of a market for psionics rules after all.
