A Pathfinder Society Scenario designed for 5th- through 8th-level characters.
The PCs are tasked with escorting a valuable item slated to be gifted to a powerful potential ally of the Pathfinder Society, but as they are being briefed on their mission, an unknown thief is pulling off a heist within Heidmarch manor, and the item the PCs were to escort has been stolen just as Venture-Captain Shiela Heidmarch goes to show them the item. The PCs much pick up the thief's trail in a race across Magnimar to recover the treasure they haven't even had the opportunity to see, much less guard.

This one was a blast. The investigation at the beginning was particularly memorable. I got lucky and picked the perfect character for this adventure. My former Urgir cop got to do her best Lennie Briscoe impersonation while questioning witnesses and suspects. The chase scene was fun if a bit frustrating (Seriously, who rolls three ones in a row?). The fights were maybe a little easy but that could very well change with a different party composition or poor dice rolls. Overall one of the better scenarios in recent memory.
This was a great adventure and a ton of fun to play! There were a lot of excellent opportunities for roleplaying with memorable and relatable NPCs, and the chase scene was just a blast!
A mystery investigation with well-placed clues, memorable NPCs (old AND new), some red herrings, and a chase scene (complete with a Magnimar tour!) that actually works.
First thing: the Pathfinders are not doing the heisting. There has been a heist.
There's a good mix of mystery, skill-based encounters and some interesting fights. For once, the motivations of the people causing the problems make sense and there are some memorable setting and character bits. I thoroughly enjoyed this one.
Thanks to my amazing developer, Josh Foster, this mystery adventure turned out so well. I GMed three author tables of it at SkalCon last weekend, and it was so much fun watching my players try to figure out what was going on.
Speaking of useful handouts, I wondered if there was a map of Magnimar available online for a scene in the adventure, and I found this map here. It dates back to the 2nd Pathfinder adventure ever, so it might be a little out of date, though.
