So people wanted to know about Gods!:
Ones you already know about are Abadar, Achaekek, Desna, Gozreh, Groetus, Lissala, Nurgal(interestingly article doesn't mention his book of the damned backstory at all, its all about scholar theory of when Nurgal's worship started), Pharasma and Zura.
And of course Acavna and her lover Amaznen(those two were the ones who died in Earthfall right?). I dunno if rest of them are new but here they are:
health and medicine (his pic is cool since it appeals to my mask taste. Basically he has really big veil over his head)
*Elion, the Farseeker, CG god of colonization, discovery,
and exploration
*Jaidi, the Blessing and Bounty, NG goddess of agriculture, hard
work, and self-sufficiency
*Myr, the Guide of Perfection, LG goddess of charity, lineage, and
physical perfection
*Onos, God of Many Doors, N deity of elements, embassies,
and extraplanar travel(BTW, all of the new gods have a pic, Onos' is swirl of energy composed of all four elements. So cool and weird)
*Scal, Calm After the Storm, NE god of annihilation, catharsis,
and purity
*Sicva, Mistress of All, LE goddess of domination, invasive
species, and oppression
*Ulon, The Web, NE deity of conspiracy, isolation,
and manipulation(his pic is cool too, basically his face is blank white mannequin face. You know, like eyeholes, but no eyes and stuff)
Enjoy :D
Edit: Also interesting detail about Lissala: Before Xin's exile and rise of Thassilon she used to be minor deity. Its implied that when her faith corrupted, she decided to embrace the change for more influence meaning she might have originally actually been LN (or at least her faith was even if she was always LE)

CE, hes still referred as "CE demon lord of deserts, senseless warfare, and the sun". Like I said, article doesn't refer to his Book of the Damned pre demon lord existence, so we don't know how Azlanti god Nurgal differed from demon lord Nurgal. Heck final paragraph refers him as demon lord(in context of open faith toward him being frowned upon), so either his worship continued after he become demon lord(even though it was frowned upon) or writer of the article wasn't aware of his backstory in book of the damned.

How much would you have to stretch to make the deities deity options for PCs? If they're dead deities, I assume they don't grant spells, don't have organizations, and it's difficult to even find information about them? How much of a reach would it be to have a PC be a worshipper (and not be mechanically penalized by not getting spells)?

Only Amazen and Acavna are dead, rest of them are still alive but on Inner Sea most of them are obscure. In general, book says you might find small cells of worshippers somewhere, or even a shrine prayed by small farming village and that their worship might be more common on other continents like Arcadia or Tian Xia.
*On Elion it does say there are small pockets of worshippers, but after Earthfall he has basically left Golarion completely, possibly to search edges of the multiverse.
*Jaidi outside of that "maybe there is small farming village somewhere were villagers offer prayers to Jaidi's shrine" example, there isn't mention outside of that her worshipers are credited for for spreading techniques that helped restore the world after Age of Darkness
*Onos was obscure even during times of Azlanti, so his situation on Golarion hasn't really changed, but he does have a lot of worshipers outside of Golarion.
*Scal's name was forbidden to be mentioned after Earthfall because survivors blamed his wrath for the destruction, so he is as result really obscure now.
*Sicva its mentioned that tyrants would love to worship her if she was better known, but there are few small cults scattered on Golarion.
*Ulon was unknown god to public during time of Azlanti as well, so his situation is probably same on modern golarion as well. It comes with being god of isolation and conspiracy I guess.

Little correction/addition on what I said earlier that I didn't notice before <_<
Lissala's statblock lists her as LN. So yeah, that confirms that Lissala did indeed switch from LN to LE as her teachings were corrupted by Runelords. Article goes into detail about what her worship was like in Azlanti before thassilon, so its not typo that was done twice either. Statblock even has only four domains, so what she was like when she was minor deity.
(which does mean that writer probably wasn't aware of Nurgal's new backstory details hence why article doesn't detail how he was worshiped before half of him became a demon lord)

Hmmm...interesting...
Looks like she was a nice goddess who cared for humanity...and nobody else. Her love and compassion were boundless for those she cared for, enough to be willing to sacrifice herself for humanity.
Hence Chaotic Neutral, I would presume: Good is willing to go out of their way for anybody; Neutral only for those they care for or causes they care about.
Oh, and the art for her is very "Wonder Woman-esque." :)

Acavna looks more like Athena if you ask me. As in she looks like irl statues of Athena with helmet and spear, but with different design on helmet. Wonderwoman comparison is weird to me as result since its like "Hey, instead of greek mythology, let's refer to comic book character that refers to greek mythology" xD

How do we know the image on p.71 is Myr and not Lissala?
Lissala was described (and depicted) in Shattered Star 5 Into the Nightmare Rift, she’s also associated with the color green, whereas Myr has purple clothes and a purple Holy symbol.
All the Deities depicted in this article are ones that did not have art before, all the other Deities do have art in other products.

Will we be getting a blog post summarizing the deities of Azlant, much like was done for the Ancient Osiriani gods?
(At least, for those of us who will have to wait awhile to get this product…)
Please & thank you.

The deity article, and Azlant's proximity to Arcadia, made me wonder about whether any of the Azlanti pantheon survived as major deities in Arcadia, kind of like how some of them survived as major deities in Avistan.
I think Myr and Chauntea Jaidi in particular would fit in nicely with my vision of Arcadia. Elion would be interesting in an ironic way.

Yep! I have a blog scheduled for that very purpose.

Adam Daigle wrote:I made sure not to illustrate a god who has been illustrated before so that all the pieces would be fresh and new.Captions would've been useful, as not all readers know who has been illustrated before.
That's a fair point. I didn't include captions in the article because I thought that the context in the individual write ups would make the illustrations pretty obvious, but apparently I was wrong. Thanks for the feedback.

You're welcome. For the record, I only had trouble with two or three. The deduction was obvious when the other deity was one of the core 20 like Abadar or Pharasma, since even a noob like me can figure out those guys have been illustrated before. The toughest were Lissala/Myr (which I now know, thanks to Rysky), Nurgal/Onos (Onos' symbol has that four elements thing going, but Nurgal's symbol also has an energy emanation in the center, so I wasn't sure) and Ulon/Zura (still not sure about this one).

Rysky wrote:For Ulon/Zura, Zura as a Demon Lord (which is what she’s being worshipped as here) has wings with a trail of runed paper?Where are you getting these descriptions? I could swear that wasn't in the article.
Zura was illustrated in the Book of the Damned, both the original Demon issue and the Hardcover.
