3/5

The air elemental is massive and awesome. The fire elemental is much less appealing. The tiny feminine body just doesn't fit my image of a huge elemental. And the horns are a weird choice that I would prefer to be without as well. I'd give the air elemental 5 stars but as a two pack, the fire elemental drops this rating down to a 3 for me.

But what is it?! Less than a month away and no information.

According to this page, it is a huge air elemental and a huge water elemental.

Thank you for the update, Rick!

But as far as i know, the "Air and Fire Elemental Lord" pack has been changed to "Huge Air Elemental and Huge WATER Elemental" pack...

I was wondering how to have miniature for creature that is made of air and is thus invisible, air elemental does make more sense :D

(besides, Ymeri is large)

It seems they have changed it back to the old name and content:

Pathfinder Battles: Maze of Death

Pictures straight from Wizkids:

(Huge/Elder) Air Elemental "Lord"

(Huge/Elder) Fire Elemental "Lord"

Air & Fire Elementals side by side

Little sad the water elemental is gone, that was going to be the main reason I was getting this pack. Will it appear elsewhere later?

Its bit confusing yeah that they are calling elder/huge elementals lords .-.

WizKids intends to release the Huge water and earth elementals as a future case incentive.

I am still scratching my head trying to figure out where the image of the Huge Water Elemental came from since it is not a mini that Wizkids is ready to sell yet.

The First announcement about this product was, it being "Air & Fire Elementals".

Shortly later, at GenCon 50 or PaizoCon (i can´t remember), the images of the Huge Water Elemental and Huge Air Elementals were shown.

From then on, i too was under the impression, that the incentive content had been changed to include the Water elemental (and ordered two incentives).

I´m 100% sure it is not Paizos fault, as Wizkids decides about these things.

But it would be nice to hear the story behind this.

As i recall, the next Pathfinder Battles set (#14 ETA may 2018) is planned to include another scenery set and the one after that (#15 ETA october 2018) should include the two missing Huge Earth and Water elementals.

This is not set in stone though and Wizkids could still decide otherwise.

The water elemental was revealed as the case incentive at the paizocon banquet, which is where the confusion came from.

Ah, thanks Cpt_kirstov, now i remember again! :-)

But my question is where they came up with the photo of it. Since they presumably haven't manufactured the huge water elemental mini yet, what were they taking a picture of?

The proof? You make a few copies first to make sure it will turn out well.

The digital sculpt. The same ones they use for many of the minis preview blogs. ^_^

Ah, thanks!

I want these.... Listed unavailable... Any chance these get restocked eventually?

I think you missed your chance to get it here, if there ever was one.

How did this set get a three rating? The air elemental figure is one of the coolest and most impressive figures that a GM can put on a table.

Silver Crusade

You can always give it your own rating and review to counteract it.

The review mirrors my own thoughts completely.

While the Air Elemental is awesome and easily 5 Stars, the Fire elemental (lord) looks nothing like a classic elemental.
D&D's "War of the Dragon Queen"'s Huge Fire Elemental is the Gold standard.

Silver Crusade

Is it the horns or the feminine figure?

Neither.

It's not massive enough.
I like the female looking Huge Water Elemental as well as the Huge Air and Earth Elementals, because they look impressive on the table.

With that being said, i think classic elementals shouldn't have a gender at all.

Silver Crusade

They probably wanted variance rather than having all of them just being big shapeless chonks.
