It has been a century since the immortal witch Baba Yaga last visited the world, and the hour draws nigh for her return. But when she fails to appear in the frozen realm of Irrisen to user in its newest ruler, pockets of winter begin to grow throughout the Inner Sea region. After 1,400 years of perpetual winter, the icy curse of Irrisen is spreading! Will the Reign of Winter engulf the world?
This miniature is amazing. It is one of the best Gargantuan dragons made to date. Even with the mostly white body, the details are excellent. The hovering pose is a great choice.
I love the detail on it, the pose and the interpretation of the White Dragon.
It came packaged with the wings detached. I applied some crazy glue and attached the wings. I had to apply a bit of force but the seams are now pretty hard to notice unless you know where to look and are looking for them.
This mini is awesome! It has a fantastic pose, a great amount of detailing, and the paint job is superb! I was concerned that the dragon might be bland and have little in the way of shading or detailing. I had no reason to fear, this mini is a real beauty. You deserve to add this dragon to your collection.
Fantastic, if you don't mind the clear support rod.
There are only two possible negatives with this miniature. First, obviously, is its price. These gargantuan miniatures cost a lot, and you're supposed to be eligible to buy it only if you also buy an entire case.
Second, it has a support rod. Some people don't like these. I don't mind them so much, especially because they allow for a greater range of poses than you'd otherwise be able to get. But be careful, because they snap off really easily.
In all other respects, this miniature is fantastic. It's really impressive, and the detail is amazing. The paint job is really well done too. I wish the quality on the smaller miniatures matched that on these gargantuan case incentives.
So lets start with the pose the pose itself is quite good with the model being high off the base it makes for a very intimidating model. also since the majority of the model is off of the base you can fit all your other minions around it or those pesky PCs around the base quite nicely without anything on the dragon bumping into them. With center of gravity being higher with model you would think that it would tip over easily. but it doesn't it is surprisingly stable. When compared to the white dragon evolution set the model does look like its a older version of the white dragons form the evolution pack. They all have the same prominent features that make white dragons unique from the other dragons. I have two minor complaints with it 1). I wish the head was looking down and not straight ahead so that it looks like he is looking down on the PCs and 2). from the side view kinda looks like he is on the toilet could be just me. The paint job is also good with all the details coming out nicely from distance. when compared to the white dragon evolution series the wash they used is a gray instead of a blue which makes the model seem a bit darker then his younger incarnations. The wings are the BEST of any of the gargantuans that the wings come separate. instead of the normal 1 peg per wing this time they went with 2 pegs per wing. They also went in with ease and stay in but also come out when you want them to come out making transport of the guy a bit easier.
Overall great buy pick one up if you have the chance.
My only wish: Someday, a gargantuan red. I know - it's another dragon. But it's one everyone actually needs, right? Right? :-D
I have many dragon miniatures... though some of them I laugh about as I say "miniature" and they stand over 6" tall and 8" long/wide - topping out with the colossal sized red dragon that WotC released years ago (which made me basically stop using colossal creatures because my suspension of disbelief gets blown out of the water by the stick-em-in-the-shins-with-toothpick-till-they-die scale of it all)
I don't really need another gargantuan dragon (I have 4 or 5 already), but I would probably buy more if they were A) cool looking, and B) a color I don't already have.
That means I could see myself buying a Pathfinder styled white dragon (because the Icingdeath mini I have looks like a stupid bird), a green, a red, or any dragon of the other major types (metallic, gemstone, oriental, etc.).
Matthew,
I was so so hoping for a Dancing Hut myself. While the Dragon I am sure will be nothing less then awesome, the Hut would have had more meaning for me and it is one of the most elusive of miniatures I have been searching decades for the right one.
I am both disappointed and somewhat excited. It is difficult to be as excited as I would have been had this been a Dancing Hut though :)
I have been looking now for almost 25 years for a good miniature for a Dancing hut. Drogon no offense intended but that is not what I am looking for. I want a mini that I can paint and such and or modify it if I want to. I have tried the paper ones like the one you pictured... but I was never satisfied with them. I have seen one mini that was featured in a Kickswtarter that I found out about WAY to late and am hoping that they actually sell it though I know it will cost almost 150 bucks :( for a resin model and it does look awesome though.
Thanks For trying.
I am happy with the White Dragon though and hope that someday we WILL see a Dancing Hut soon!! :)

Man, with that kind of perfectionism driving you, I'm surprised you weren't more on the side of the naysayers in the LoG thread. (-;
I wonder if WizKids might do something special for the Dancing Hut the way they did with Phoenix and Galactus for Heroclix. Those weren't tied to any set the way these gargantuans always have been, and were extremely popular.
I hope they are using the art for Yrax for the model, even though he is "only" Huge. Is there even a Gargantuan white in the AP? Skimming through it I couldn't find one.
For those looking for a Dancing Hut, it still might be in the set…just not at Gargantuan scale.
I don't own any of the Reign of Winter books (yet), so I haven't seen a stat block for the Dancing Hut, but according to the list of pawns in the Pathfinder Pawns: Reign of Winter set, the Dancing Hut is a Huge figure, not Gargantuan. So there's still hope.
Not Red. Have the current Gargantuan White already. I like mine, so it'll be hard to compare. Kinda disappointed. But, I get that they have to work through their campaigns. I'll still probably get it. Can't wait for pictures. That'll decide it for me. I love WotC's so it'll be a tough comparison.
The White is gorgeous!!! :) One of the better sculpts I have seen. When I first heard of this one I was seriously considering passing on this one and now that I have seen it I am for sure getting it now!!!
This sculpt is fantastic. No way I'm passing this up. Straight to my collection of Paizo dragons you go! This raises the bar big time for future dragon sculpts. Now we just need an announcement for the next Dragon Evolution package of chromatics.
