A good product but missing a couple pawns

4/5

I am halfway through the skull and shackles ap, and have been buying the paper minis. I was very excited to see these. They do not disappoint. They are a great alternative to paying a lot for the plastic minis but still add a lot of flavor to the experience.

My only complaint is that it seems there is a couple of missing monsters. The jellyfish swarm and xtabays and tojinada. There may be others missing but I am not too far in the ap. otherwise a good product.

Maybe that is supposed to be the art for #40 instead.

Just checked the PDF, the artwork is beautiful and I'm looking forward to getting my hands on the hard copy as well.

It's a shame the PDF has the red outline of the token on it though. It would be nice to have had just the artwork. Anyone know a way to "delete" that from the PDF?

Hey this is just a quick question for the masses. . . Would you purchase a set of flat tokens? Circles, squares, etc that depict common and uncommon dungeon accessories such as treasure chests, gold piles, tables, rugs, book cases, ice slicks, weapons, doors, etc. . .I have been playing RPGs for many years and now that I see these outstanding pawns and tokens are an affordable way to outfit the game. I am curious as to how others would welcome a large set of non-character token accessories to dress up their adventures? I for one would welcome something like this. Any thoughts?

I know that Amazon is bad with release dates and such. THey currently have this marked for a July 2013 release date. Does anyone know how long it usualy takes them to get it straightened out ?

Thanks

My pdf has the picture, so hopefully if you download again you'll have the artwork.
My pdf has the picture also if I view in Windows Adobe Reader. I cannot see that particular picture when viewing the same pdf on iPad.

Hmmm. Just confirmed for myself.

On the pc running acrobat and the IPad acrobat app pawn 57 artwork appears. On the iPad in the GoodReader app the artwork for Pawn 57 does not appear, either front or back.

Digital Products Assistant

I'm thinking that Apple's PDF rendering engine just doesn't seem to like that image element. I'll look into it further and when the product is updated to correct the issue, and email will be sent automatically indicated that it's been updated.

Sovereign Court

Just bought this. Very nice. Has anybody seen the list of creatures in electronic form that I could download so that I could add it to the lists from the earlier pawn collections?

No props for the big white furry dude? :(

Ah, the price one pays for posting early to a popular thread.

It appears to me that this is missing the Brinebrood Queen, as I cant find her in the PDF was this a mistake?

Unfortunately, it's not possible to include every single monster or NPC from the AP in the pawn collection. As a result, some characters and monsters are not in the pawn collection. The Brinebrood Queen is one of those; she was left out on purpose, with the thought being that you can just use one of the normal grindylow pawns to represent her.

That's kool, I would have liked to have seen her in there as I'm going to have her return but I understand the reasoning behind it.

Also I'm still waiting for my hard copy of Pathfinder Pawns: Skull & Shackles Adventure Path Pawn Collection to arrive on my door step is there a way to track this or know if its still being delivered?

Hi all member,
I'm french and it's my first post...so be indulgent with my grammar.
I have all french paizos product edited by BBe..and I complete my collection with, map pack, cards, flip mat and PAWNS......I like pawns A great idea.
I have the skull and shackles pawns..so beautiful Just a remark..Some monster in this pack are the same in the monster box anly a special logo (like ghoul...3 in trhis pack + monster box + ris of the runelords pawns...).....Paizo have some great artist so it's not difficult for us to create some differents models of ghoul (... please diversifiate your drawing art..and why not a competion with new artist for spécial monster.

so for finish more thank for all your Pathfinder Products.

best regards and more thanks to have read to me.

Really great product, the pawns collection are awesome.

Can we get them for all AP please? :)

Liberty's Edge

I got this for Christmas, and was sorting it out when I noticed a little something. There's Giant Frogs and Giant Crabs in this set, whereas the Bestiary Box has Frogs, Giant and Crabs, Giant. It's a minor pain when alphabetizing them to find that there's the same creature under different names. Can we avoid this in future sets?

The Exchange

After getting further into this AP I am getting more and more dissapointed in this set as it is missing quite a few that I would love to have. The one's its missing are not too iconic, but really a replacement cannot be found anywhere with the miniatures for Pathfinder or D&D.

So I have question I have not played or ran skull and shackles and just incase I do either I don't want to ruin it does any one have a break down of what each pawns monster type is in sorting them into binders by type. I'm going to have to ask this for all the AP pawns in each of there threads
Thanks if any of you can help me with it

Scarab Sages

I apologise if this has already been asked, but with the pdf edition do u just need to print out the pawns or that they are not included in that edition.

I went to my FLGS today and they said they could no longer order this for me as it was close to being out of print. True?

Dark Archive

This set contains 166 pawns:

-28 small
-90 medium
-33 large
-15 huge

Any words on a reprint?

Reprint when?? Paizo pls!

Pawn sets rarely get reprinted, guys. Fortunately, you can still grab all the individual minis you need on the secondary market.

Another option is to print out the PDF and make your own pawns. I like to use sinspawns for homemade pawns, because I seem to have a million of them.

Humanoid corrupted by sin. They were a big part of Rise of the Runelords and Shattered Star so if you've got those pawn collections you've got a ton of them.

I found this cardboard is the same thickness as the stock that Paizo uses.

https://amazon.com/gp/product/B00DHOY336

In case this post is still here when Amazon drops that product, the title of the product is "14 Sheets Brown Chipboard 80 Point Extra Thick 4" X 9" (4X9 Inches) #10 Envelope Insert Size - .080 Caliper XX Heavy Cardboard as Thick as 20 Sheets 20# Paper".

Thanks !! :)

And the paper to print? I tried with regular A4 paper and Eva foam, but the paper get to wet when i use the glue

I use a glue stick on normal paper and just apply it very carefully. Once it dries, it usually works quite well.

Alternatively, you could use sticker paper, a little more expensive but a lot less work.
