Moving a little more forward again; Cerryl reaches up to the mirrored pendant that one catches flashes off of every once in a while and focuses once more on the spell he just cast.

Recalling the spells in his book and invoking his bond with the pendant, Cerryl appears to mimic the same spell he just cast pointing at Alejia again.

Using the bonded items ability to cast any known spell in his book to send another Ear Piercing Scream at Alejia.

Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

As he completes his spell he seems to hear a little crazy from the direction the two siblings went...Umm...when did we those two become pyros...hope that is just theater...either that or might need to disappear when we return...doubt someone will be happy if either ship is sunken here.

Have you had any luck researching that creature that got away...know it is in the past...but...dont like being stumped on things we encounter so been doing a little myself but havent found everything I was hoping for.

Rushing in after a lot of the conversation has happened everyone sees a rather ordinary individual attempting to cram what appears to be a journal into his backpack hanging over his shoulder while pushing along with a quarterstaff in the other hand driving his steps into the room...without a whole lot of success it appears with getting the journal seated. Another thing that is rather apparent is the bandolier crossing over his shoulder with various potions and vials in place rather than the more commonplace daggers.

Startled by Lovissa's normal greeting.

Umm... Looks up briefly. Right doing a little research, and was think you were there with me for most of my missions so far...well other than that crazy druid ring that we were able to disrupt before they completed that ritual...but been taking a break from the crazyiness lately until Sir Heidmarch told me a break from the library would do me good.

Hearing Toban mention the various fungi and other plants Cerryl appears to feel along the outside of his pack. Hmm...wonder if they would provide anything worthwhile for an experiment...still haven't had much luck finding a better blue...or maybe a yellow.

Snatching up a meat pie and the dessert...before looking at the drying paintings.

Wonder if I can use some of the paints to get a different color...will have to compare notes at some point.

Before pulling back out the journal he had just put away he jots down a few words and then starts to copy the maps into the journal.

Conferring with Toban afterwards on the Hellknights and anything else he can remember from the area.

Think another option is if we get proof of the bar owner's activity could we set the law on the owner at the time that the meeting is taking place. Pretty sure that would disrupt the customers and maybe make each agent think they are being set up by the other in the best case scenario.

Pulls Rykaar and Grey aside and whispers to them.

If Balenar has not healed yet I want one of you to take that scroll of healing back and use it on him. I expect we are about to fight that shaman before we leave this tower and I do not want him dying on our watch after we found him alive.

After saying this he pulls everyone else in for a brief strategy session.

When we run into the shaman I want Lovissa, Grey, and Rykaar to focus on the guards if they can't rush the shaman; either way Rei and I will be sitting back watching the shaman. If he attempts to cast any spells I want to hit him with two in return and hopefully break his concentration before he completes them. If anyone has a better idea though let me know.

Just in case I do not have time tomorrow, and upon completion of combat.

Also depending on damage done Cerryl will probably end up using ray of frost in the next round unless no one hits in which case he would use force missile.

Cerryl moves further into the room to give a good line of sight on the bigger Trog and lets loose Ear-Piercing Scream.

Ear-Piercing Scream: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2

Fort save DC 15 for half Damage and to not be dazed for 1 round.
Also is just a single target spell so only impacts the target.

Cerryl moves into the room still trying to take as shallow breathes as he can from the smell. Casts Force Missile at the remaining Trog if Rykaar doesn't kill it first, and will delay my casting until after Rykaar acts.

Lets get this over with so I can actually take a breath.

Well met Sir Hestram and I have a couple of questions the main one being how structurally sound is the tower and is there any chance of it collapsing in any aftershocks. Another question is I am assuming that Balenar was tracked to the tower and were there any other significant tracks either leading into or back out of the tower. Also, how far is it to the tower so we can prepare and do you have any advice as far as equipment to bring with us.

Also, assuming I need to do another Day Job roll in this case.

Lyasa come.

After Lyasa lands back on Cerryl's shoulder. Cerryl pulls out a small knife and starts cutting small pieces from around some of the wounds on the Minotaur to give to Lyasa.

Janira you should thank Rei for charging the Minotaur after you fell to give the rest of us time to cross the stream/river.

Cerryl looks at the Minotaur and attempts to determine if there is anything worth looting after seeing Rykaar and Grey taking care of Janira and Rei.

This Confirmation will certainly be something spoken about to new recruits. Though will need to make sure to invest in more materials for another journal if this exploration was a simple job. Here Janira you can look over this while everyone catches their breathe and grabs something to drink. Will want to refill my waterskin from the river before we move on anyways.

Hands Janira the journal and can see more than half of it is filled up with sketches of the caves and notes on what was found.

Grey has a point the Confirmation only requires us to map the cavern and return alive. While we are likely to return your kinsmen to their rest during our exploration. It is not a requirement of our mission, and will impart a significant increase in the risk for us.

Would there also be an additional reward if we can identify, locate, and potentially remove the source of disturbance to the dead?

I am also willing to return the cloak for more insight into your tribe and rituals, but would you allow me to use it until we are ready to make the exchange upon our return.

Cerryl takes the cloak off and slowly offers it to Uori.

Any help you give us would be welcome. Also, can you tell us any more about the caverns to the east and west as far as any more pitfalls or hazards.

Craft Alchemy: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (11) + 8 = 19
Appraise: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (2) + 8 = 10

Seeing no other threats and with Lovissa already sketching the diorama Cerryl attempts to see if there are any useful components for alchemy. Lets also appraise the stones and coins if possible.

Also, wondering if we can get an estimate of when the diorama was made by dating the landmarks we can identify and how far back those were built. Gah bad roll for the appraise no telling where that is going to go.

Well Cerryl will wear it until someone else presents an argument for it and to be fair think my saves are the weakest but hoping to not be in a position to be the target of saves.

Thinking about the amount of rations Janira recommended and looking at the forest around them

Assuming shadows under the trees giving the bonus +3 from my familiar if not would be +8

Think I will let Lyasa scout around a little and maybe catch some dinner before we reach the caves.

During my apprenticeship a few customers had me translating various texts and journals. Eventually I asked them what they were using the texts for and they introduced me to the Pathfinders society. While I could make a decent living as a scribe I am hoping to find some answers for the death of my parents and figured the Society would better train me along with exposing me to opportunities for discovering the reason for their deaths.
