Will also cast CLW after we rest again on both Atticus and Zaratina to get everyone up to full health as quickly as possible during the trip. Also, got no issues doing that and "selling" most of the weapons/armor to resupply for the rest of the trip.

Weeks later.

The walls of Gralton heave into sight shortly after noon, and by evening the party arrives travel-worn at the gates of the city state in exile.

============

Roll one Knowledge (local or nobility) check and open all the apply.

Knowledge (local or nobility) DC 10+:
The inhabitants of Gralton consist almost entirely of people who have fled the ongoing revolution (some would say anarchy) in Galt.

Knowledge (local or nobility) DC 15+:
Many of those who have fled to Gralton are the old nobility of Galt. Deposed and fallen from grace, they desperately seek any means to regain what they have lost, be it by sponsoring counter-revolutionary activity, or sending parties of hapless adventurers back into Galt to search for family heirlooms left behind in the rush to escape the guillotine's blade.

Knowledge (local only) DC 20+:
As the desperation of the deposed nobility grew, Gralton began to attract con-artists and tricksters. These tried to hustle the desperate nobility by offering quick fixes and false hope. The town has two notable temples: one to the drunken hero deity, Cayden Cailean, the other to the Vengeful Sting, Calistria. In fact, many suspect the people of Gralton to be possessed by some spirit of Calistria. So bent on vengeance against Galt are they, that many see divine intervention in their hate-filled eyes.

Once Hallimir finishes with his bath he returns to the Inn and sits with Arathorn and Blane.

"Now lets have a look at what Ulisha thought was so valuable here.", he says quietly to the others as he pulls out the journal.

Journal Contents:

The only thing worse than working for a Galtan nobleman is working for two Galtan noblemen—in my case, Lords Tullivor and Sarvio, both of whom are happy only when the other is not. I made a tidy sum recovering their heirlooms, but when Laban Tullivor tasked me to steal a platinum chalice belonging to the Sarvios, I took my leave (and the cup), and they’ve been hounding me since.

Now Laban’s deceased, and it’s rumored his mausoleum in Gralton’s cemetery harbors a treasure. I hope you’ll not balk at tomb-robbing.

Remember, these are aristocrats. I say, a plague on both their houses.

Hallimir quietly scans the pages, "Hmmmm a treasure....thats rather, umm, vague"

After delivering his order Arathorn turns back to the group.

Well noblemen probably means the graveyard next door...not sure how we want to go about this though...Vague is an understatement and if it is so valuable why would it still be there...We cant be the only ones that know about this supposed "treasure."

Hallimir:
Both Tullivor and Sarvio are (or were in Tullivor's case) the heads of their respective aristocratic houses in exile from Galt.

Laban Tullivor was a corrupt and cruel man. Before dying, he boasted about the treasure to be entombed with him as well as about a magical trap that could be bypassed by “one who earns Tullivors’ thanks.”

In general there isn't much in the way of guidance beyond what you've got. Ulisha's entry makes it clear she is a bit disgruntled with the dead man (her ex-employer), knows he is a rich fat cat, and expects you might find a dragon's pillow worth of treasure inside.

"we should take tomorrow and look around and maybe talk to some people to see if we can get some much lacking info on this Tullivor family. if what Hallimir says is true about a magic trap we might have to see what it is before we go blindly walking in to our deaths."

He doesn't believe in 'game balance'. Gandalf always lets him pass. As a feat, he has Exotic Weapon Proficiency (beard). The city guard often question him, just because they find him so interesting. His dice bag is woven from tarrasque leather. His TPKs end game lines. His blood cures moderate wounds. He once punched a flumph. Yes, you heard me. He belongs to a prestige class whose sole requirement for entry is just being him. ♬ He is indeed, the most interesting GM in the world. ♬

Think I may just take Atticus here for a walk and maybe see about coming back through the cemetery...Do we want to all head out separate and converge at a set time?

At the cemetery gates the next day.

"'allo, 'allo! Greeteng mon friénds! We meet again! Mr. Fairshadow, was eet not?" greets the guardsman at the cemetary gate. "Hairé to visit a a loved un?"
