Hold on... I'm still implicating myself... it was Bill, I saw him do it!!

Do you find yourself in need of a good advocate? Lord Wraithstrike has much experiance as a rules lawyer how hard could criminal charges be?

Maybe it was "C. TL tried to eat whatever was in the fridge, but he lost"? Now it has assumed his appearance and begun posting on the Internet.

Er, no. No, definitely not that last one. Definitely not. I have no idea where you got such a weird idea. Nope. Not a single clue. And this is certainly not a suspiciously copious and excessive denial, that's for sure.

Nope.

Not. At. All.

*Whistles in a definitely inconspicuous manner and wanders away.*

(It's a combination of both of what Talonhawke suggested, actually. ^-^)

Yep yep nothing at all to Tacticslion merely had a wonderful meal, nothing to be concerned with....... ALL HAIL LORD WRAITHSTRIKE.....I mean lunch yes all hail lunch.

The world's governments are all actually under the control of various shadow organizations. The only way to fight back will be to rally under a united banner of power. We need a leader who will take the downtrodden souls of the world and put them to good use.

While we are having this talk can I you about his Great and Lugubrious Majesty Lord Wraithstrike?

Where is my other minion? Give a minion a little freedom, and they think they can just stay out as long as they want.

I don't know your Great and Magnificent one. If you find him you should flog him without mercy.

Please of Magnificent Many-Eyed King do not bring attention to these fools. There lack of these things makes it easier to sneak up and destroy your foes and bring new souls upon which to feast.

Paladins shouldn't take it at all.

I mean come on if they go first in initative then the enemy is flat-footed which means they can't react to attacks. Well that's clearly dishonorable so you would have to get atonement at the least right? Right?

Here is why this won't work.

1. Schrodinger's Wizard magically appears at 12th level. He didn't have to to go through the awkward phases of wizard life picking up all those feats and pre-magic item min/max scores, often dying in the process, he appeared fully formed. And he always has the exact right spell at the exact right time, and plenty of time before and after to buff. Hence, he is undefeated.

2. Assuming anything is begging for the goal posts to be moves.

3. Some people on here seem married to beliefs to the point of religious fervor.

I'm not even reading the posts, how right am I?

Wizard hasn't been brought up in a few pages I don't think. :P

3 is correct.

Edit: I'm sorry i misspoke. The word wizard was used 3 times in the past 3 pages before you came in.

Speaking of Religion can I speak to you about the wonders of his Magnificance Lord Wraithstrike.

He'd have to.

That is ok, because it can...

Now 2d6 average out to 7 rounds between fights so the barbarian can rage for 1 or 2 rounds if needed and not be fatigued for the next fight. With his higher saves he is more likely to last longer than the fighter.

It's lucky the CR is only 8 oh masterful lord else they could come full force into your omnipotent wrath.
I was going to say that!

Do not seek to steal the glorious praise of the master of the many burning eyes b

Floyd you must use a full attack in order to use TWF.

It has been that way since 3.5. The wording has not changed so the rules have not change.

Cleave gives you one attack if you hit. That is it.

Floyd there are abilities that allow you to get a second attack with the off-hand weapon if you are not using a full attack. Why would these exist if you can do so anyway?

Forgive my impertinence oh powerful and terrible master but I rectified a small error for you. Clearly you are too busy spreading fear to bother with such trivialities.
That is why I keep you around. I wish minion #2 was so useful.

Thank you thank you oh He of the Many All-Seeing Red Eyes.

*ducks into a shadowy corner to inform his wife that he should be on time for dinner as he has hopefully avoided death and/or torture today. *

monk as a scout class? there are some problems with that

lack of decent class skills, they have half a list, but tis not sufficient for a proper skill monkey. not that they have enough skill points to use them all.

Does a scouting role require more than Acrobatics, Perception, and Stealth? It seems that the Monk can specialize in a stealth role.

lack of proper skill augmenting powers beyond extreme jumping distance. most of thier abilities are all defensive and combat oriented

lack of proper spellcasting, like the rogue, they are a 3/4 bab noncasting class, but like the rogue, they get a form of compensation called flurry. much like a rogue gets sneak attack.

That argues for using monks against soft targets like enemy rogues or spellcasters. Most of their class feature seem tailor made for mage killing. Stunning fist also would seem to work well against annoying rogues and ninjas. Flurry of blows is likely to annihilate most other support characters and casters very quickly. Also, while there are several magic items that can nullify a sneak attack, there are very few that can negate the stunning fist.
If all else fails, monks are quite good at grappling foes so that other party member can finish the job.

since the monk clearly doesn't have the skill points to be a proper scout or skill monkey, doesn't have the spells to be a caster, there is one last role. martial combatant, but they suck at that too.

I disagree.
I disagree. :)

I agree with your disagreeing oh omnipotent one.

Ah so we are back in the wonderful undefined world of harm a magic place that shuts down certain spells or feats because we can always list a harmful outcome of any circumstance ever.

wraithstrike wrote:

ML if spells can count as both arcane and divine for the purpose of spell types then what is stopping early entry into the mystic theurge prestige class?

Quote:

Requirements

To qualify to become a mystic theurge, a character must fulfill all the following criteria.
Skills: Knowledge (arcana) 3 ranks, Knowledge (religion) 3 ranks.

Spells: Able to cast 2nd-level divine spells and 2nd-level arcane spells.

Quote:

Bull's Strength

School transmutation; Level cleric 2, druid 2, paladin 2, sorcerer/wizard 2

Now as a wizard 2/cleric 1 or vice-versa I have access to a spell that is both divine and arcane according to your interpretation of the rule.

So I can be a wizard 2/cleric 1/MT 1. That however is not possible by the rules as the way they are, and any thread in any forum to include Enworld, Giants in the playground, and WotC's boards, and Paizo shows that is not accurate.

I would also like to see a rule that says a spell is specifically arcane or divine, no matter which class is casting it, or at least a rule that says a spell originally starts off as with a specific designation. I am sure you can not find such a rule however. I am beginning to think you are trolling. If you are not trolling then arguing with people who have been playing the game for years, and obviously know the rules a lot better than you do seems silly at best.

Since you seem to not have noticed (or purposefully ignored) the actual question on the mystic theurge. I'll repost it for my lord.

Mystic Theurge?

I shall only bow the pretender Ashiel once she has properly converted over to legions of the Many Eyed Shadow that is my omnipotent and everlasting darkness Lord Wraithstrike.

I humbly and honorbly Nominate Suupreme Overlord Wraithstrike as head of all projects concering the universe and all things contained within it past, present, and future.

ALL HAIL LORD WRAITHSTRIKE!!!!!

But Lord Wraithstrike do you mean to say that you won't grant our wishes to destroy the goody two-shoes paladins coming to destroy our hidden lair?

ALL HAIL THE GREAT LORD WRAITHSTRIKE!!!!!!!!

Yes oh great and powerful one as we all know or soon shall your vile malevolence is both right in all things and is full of joy for those who embrace your power.

Yes omnipotent lord wraithstrike confuse them by forcing their minds to research your monstrous minions such that when your all powerful being desends they will have no chance of stopping your domination.

So, i have a crafting wizard and we're playing kingmaker, we just hitted lvl 5 and started building the kingdom.

I'm a LN mage follower of Abadar, the other party member are a paladin a LG oracle, a NG inquisitor and a N druid.

I decided to add a 10% fee on the creation cost when crafting item for the party (this mean that a belt of +2 str will cost them 2200 instead of 2000, which is still a lot better than 4000); this caused an unexpected reaction on the other players (not pg, players).

They now pretty much consider me to be a jerk, just suggesting this we're arrived to the point of them preferring to buy the items at full price and they said me this is not right since the don't make me pay for cure, tanking ecc ecc.

This was totally unexpected by this group since they are always very mature, am i missing something and being "that guy" without knowing? Is this some kind of delicate argument in the average group?

Some advice on how to deal with this situation will be most appreciated! :)

I personally think it would be cool from an RP aspect, but I can see their point also. If they are that bothered by it I would not charge them.

I agree Omnipotent one let them purchase their items from the local magic shop instead of charging them and save time to help the Lord Wraithstrike rule all.

You also have to prove that the game intends for you to not be able to kick and still keep your balance within your time of 1.5 seconds.

That is not RAW or RAI.

1.5 seconds is more than long enough to get two kicks off, and for fantasy characters, who are not exactly bound by what we can do, it would be more than enough time.

I present to you fast kicks

49 kicks 21 seconds.

I think the video advertises 16 seconds.

One more 2:58 and 4:27, among other points. With more control that the other videos.

These dudes are probably just well trained, and not even world class athletes, certainly not on par with adventurers. In any event the idea that nobody can throw 2 kicks in 1.5 seconds had been proven false.

edit:Even I can put out two kicks in 1.5 seconds, but I don't have video of me so it was just the issue of using youtube to find someone who could.

Truly you only do not show a video of your own powerful kick Oh Great and Mighty Lord Wraithstrike for the speed of your Magnificent kicks would drive your foes into unholy fear and terror.

All hail the omnipotent and all knowing Lord wraithstrike!

Hopefully it is going *removes sunglasses* "swimmingly".

*Cue "We Won't Be Fooled Again"*

Agreed lord wraithstrike the best i could find you is the qoute from JJ about 1 1/2 years ago stating that is equal to the highest level spell they could cast at the level it is granted. A errata or FAQ would definatly help DMs and players alike.
