I ran two tables of it at Gen Con and neither took the deal. The way the aeon interacts and how the players could possibly understand is all up to the GM running it.

Personally, I don't know how the aeon would ever convey in picture form that he was hesitant about killing the PCs. That was just a weird instruction and I did not think it was truly thought out, it seemed more pawned off.

I had an elf in the party that was totally cool with giving up 20 years of his life. Oops! :)

Started at 3304 and got mine. Is it a higher price this year or am I remembering wrong?
See this: GenCon Special Ticket Price & Miniatures

Thanks Swiftbrook. I figured it was something like that.

I was at 3,900 and got into all the specials plus a few non-pathfinder events.

Wait, there is something other than Pathfinder going on at Gen Con this year?

Two things I can think of off the top of my head are:

1.) Know your character and what they can do.

2.) Offer to help with the initiative or organizing things. Don't expect the GM to ask, take the initiative, no pun intended.

Finally, Liberty's Edge isn't about slavery by sword point anymore!

Ekkie makes that scenario and I love running her through it. Ekkie and Plarg are great. Please let me play her in organized play.

Thank you for this.

Question: Will there be any expansion of languages on the core chronicle sheets? Just curious.

This is great news! My players are already happy about it, especially the guy who plays Tarlin. Thank you Tanis!

Another character of has a habit of buying a memento or, when there's no price available, otherwise acquiring a keepsake representing each mission he has completed.

I was shocked not to find

memento:
a miniature book of fairy erotica

Yeah, I'd completely forgotten that I got boons or a store credit (obviously). I did ask for the shirt, and got that. Mostly I was doing it because, surprise surprise, I find GMing fun.

What kind of weirdo are you? People GM for profit and boons only. Nobody actually does it because they like it. That's the craziest f***in' thing I've ever heard!

:)

The new style faction missions need some work, in that the only real way PCs are clued into the fact a fashion mission exists (often) is by a blurb on the scenario that says "you have a faction mission here".

I can't agree with this more. Despite my faction supposedly having a clear set of goals, I'm magically suppose to know I'm expected to do something in this particular scenario.

I've yet to see a GM in Season 5 drop any unsolicited in-game clue for the players about fulfilling their faction mission. 100% of the time the players have to ask OOC or it doesn't even get mentioned.

1. It is stated which factions would prefer which missions. This is not saying that they would get a benefit, though they can. It is more to say that that faction would want the mission to succeed more than others and so people in that faction would be more likely to go on it.

2. I try to drop clues if it is not explicitly mentioned or I feel it is too convoluted.

3. Your faction goal is stated in the faction head's letter that goes out twice a year. I usually try to provide this when running a game to those who might need it.

4. The old faction missions were random and usually required a certain level of prescience.

Idyllkin Aasimars are not Beastbrood Tieflings, they do not have animal heads. You could have an Idyllkin with rabbit ears and maybe a rabbit nose, but not a full on rabbit head.

So, Idyllkin are cosplay characters and not furries. Got it.

If you are going to use a feat (power attack, rapid shot, deadly aim, etc.) all the time, tell the GM that right away. Then when you want to not use them, let him/her know. This saves time and questions.

There are other similar options, if you don't want to go Conversion or worship a Deity that doesn't grant access to it.

FYI: All deities allow the Conversion Inquisition.

They shouldn't have tried to shake Mike and Jon down for boons.

Call me Judge Totenpfuhl. If you cross me your character will spend 20 years in a cryo-tube.

Let me guess.

Spoiler:
Murder on the Throaty Mermaid, right? They should have just snuck past you as you were not their objective. That is how I would have run it, but that is just me.

Also, did the character even get a fort save?

I am no longer allowed to have a PC reroll a fortitude save that I put in there as a bluff.

Situation:
It was in The Glass River Rescue at The Grey Revelation Inn where the sisters made them dinner.

Cackle, cackle, cackle!!!!
