Represent Your Cause!

At the beginning of the Year of the Sky Key (Season 6), most of the factions underwent significant changes as their philosophies evolved and those with national ties distanced themselves from their homelands. New faction symbols followed, and in anticipation of the upcoming Faction Journal Cards, the Pathfinder Society team commissioned new symbols for each of the seven current factions. It is my pleasure to share the new art with you today.

To give you a sense of the changes, I first want to show you the two "unchanged" faction symbols, tied to the Grand Lodge and Silver Crusade. I call these symbols "unchanged" largely because their symbols' shape, concept, and coloration stayed largely the same; however, if we were going to update the five other factions' art, why not make them all even better?

Both the original Grand Lodge and Silver Crusade symbols were simple but elegant, and the updated art has taken two great designs and made them a little bolder. The other five symbols are equally exciting, with colors, interior details, and other elements that make each an icon worth rallying around.

We've also updated your Pathfinder Society ID cards with the new faction artwork, the faction pages and updated the Community Use Package so you can use these new images right away!

Damn tiny shirts.. need to be a bag or something too.

Like the Pathfinder themed bags they already sell ? With just a faction logo on it... I would buy that, the current ones are a bit too colourful to me.

Alternatively, since Paizo already produces that Sideon amulet, why not Wayfinders with your faction logo on top (then maybe add a compass, and the inside could have space for your dice. )

These look great! I am very happy with the new icons. I put in my vote for new shirts!

A new analog to faction shirts, but something that doesn't get as sweaty (like a bag or pendant) would be nifty. I'm still on the fence about getting a folio, since getting the shirts is a lot of hassle.

Thank YOU! They will look great on some new Faction Tshirts.

*hint hint*

I've posted a few times on some of the Product threads for the older PFS shirts. The Paizo folks said the shirts didn't sell well and the last news on those threads was that there wasn't any new plans for shirts.

But I hope something can be worked out like a pre-order and then Paizo just has the costs for the shirts that were ordered or something like that.

I can safely say that it doesn't look like a poop shingle because none of those look anything like what comes to mind when "poop shingle" is said.

If your poop has sharp points, you should probably see a doctor.

I wear my Sihedron Medallion when I play my follower of Lisallia. I'd wear a Sovereign Court medallion with pride.

Some of these look... less good beside the forum names. The Grand Lodge and Silver Crusade ones looked better the old way, and the Liberty's Edge looks like the Blood Angels insignia from WH40k.

The larger ones are clearly much better.

I hope they've taken into account how much PFS has grown since the last print run. For retired factions, does the Community Use policy allow us to print our own shirts (non-commercially, of course)?

I mentioned faction medallions to the Campaign Coins guy and he said several had mentioned it and he'd look into it. I think these new logos would make very nice medallions and I'd buy them to go with my Sihedron. (I might have also mentioned wayfinders would be cool, but I don't remember if I thought of that then or later.)

Isn't the backdrop to the Silver Crusade one meant to be a glow, separate to the ankh? They're both the same colour, so it looks like it's "attached".

Would be better as a yellow/white/light orange.

Silver Crusade 1/5

Nah. That's a very spiky ankh. To bash in the heads of those who don't want to do good.

It looks like one of Zartha's toys to me... Which is appropriate for the faction ;)

So...what do I have to do to update my PFS ID card?

(Also: Can I change the icon displayed next to my name to another faction or is it "stuck" to my first characters faction?)

So I just went to download my shiny new 3rd star ID card only to find that my card no longer shows Lantern Lodge, but Grand Lodge...

I ended up just printing up one of my old no-star sczarni cards, printing it out, and drawing my stars on it. Of course, I've got my current three-star card printed out in case somebody has an issue with my other card.
