I have a question
Crusader's Flurry
I get Channel Energy next level. Could I take the feat as my 3rd level feat and use it? Its mostly to allow my character to flurry with Kukris which I wanted to be his iconic weapons.
Ok so I was thinking of an idea of a Inspired Blade Swashbuckler//Sacred Huntsmen Inquisitor build.
The race would most likely be human.
Inspired blade grants Weapon Finesse and Focus for Rapier. So Fencer's Grace allows Dex to damage from level 1. And he would have a Warcat companion named Mrs. O'Leary Nicknamed Mrs. Fussybritches
Are Orcas non sentient? I would argue they very much are.
would you trust young ones around your children? Or kill them if they posed a threat to your family?
Of course you don't go around thrusting your children at any pair of jaws you find, what does that have to do with this? Are you equating the list of people I don't trust as babysitters with the list of people who need to be slaughtered?
Otherwise, why is an orca posing a threat to my family, exactly? Did it flop out of the water and shimmy into my house and start niibbling on somebody? Yes, kill it.
Or did I go to IT'S home (with my family?? on vacation to oroca infested waters??) and then getting all fussy when it is nearby being potentially dangerous? Too bad, I'M the home intruder if so. Do you think it should hold up in court if I break into your house, wearing my baby, and then shoot you because I thought you were looking at me threateningly and you were a threat to my family?
I am like 9.9999999% sure he meant Orcs not Orca as in the killer whale.
What's funny is if you run a gestalt game tag reincarnated druid on one side for five levels and have a full arcane caster like wizard or Arcanist on the other side and make the liches jelly
It says vaguely humanoid shape and then lists examples of those things. So yes I would say you could do a vampire or loch or anything said to posses a humanoid shape
That was sort of my point it's unique and requires different things. So maybe it does not require killing hundreds of people. Perhaps it requires sin eating. Devouring others pains and negative energy that turns you into a lich through the evils and pains you have removed from others.
Ironically enough, it is the PALADIN that says contrary though.
A paladin with this oath vows to restore the natural state of death to any animate corpse she encounters, and destroy the undead energy in the process. While a few paladins who take this oath recognize that not all undead are evil, others are quite willing to purge neutral and good undead along with all the evil ones.
And if ANY undead would be N/G, it would be liches since they have no drive for something evil like vampires, wraiths, or ghouls.
You're playing with words again. Not all undead are the same. Liches are one of the few types that CHOSE THEIR STATE as opposed to having it inflicted upon them.
Along with that choice was the choice to commit the monumental evil acts required to attain lichdom. Also the ongoing existence of being a lich tends to further sever the liches ties to their humanity, not strengthen them.
An non-evil neutral lich would be stretching the limits of plausibility. A good lich absolutely shatters them unless there's some helluva well-written story behind it. For most, the best you can get is a lich who becomes an "evil we can and must tolerate.... for now."
Again what are these monumental evil deeds you keep referring to? Can you list them?
So since your alignment is forcibly shifted do you get a save? If I become a lich and then adopt a puppy does my alignment shift to good again? I thought 1 bad act could not force a alignment shift?
The idea of life=good and death/undead=evil is kind of dumb. So if a party member died do you change their alignment to evil? After all they are no longer alive. Death does not equal evil its part of life. Undeath is a step outside the natural order but does not require it to be evil
Google search good lich I think it's in a faerun book but it talks about things like the OP wrote specifically. I say it depends on what was done to become a lich and the motivation behind becoming a lich.
By the negative energy example Dhampires would be required to be evil alignment even more then demon descended folk.
If u applied PA to that it would be +15 to hit and 1d8+17 to dmg and with unchained monk you get two hits a round at +15 so long as their unarmed attacks.
It's a simple template so many say its monsters only. But it is a really low CR I might have advocated +2 but azlanti is broken down in race builder is closer to a +3 which is maybe not fair. Some say use a CR +1 but their entry says nothing of CR. So if it works within your narrative for the pc to be an azlanti let em.
Also this is to amazing of a dip for classes like gunslinger. It would allow their grit stat to hit touch ac and now dex and wis to damage. Obviously monk or warpriest would drool at such an ability
I thought due to that one FAQ that swashbuckler weapon training doesn't count as weapon training for things like dueling gloves. So it only counts when its a detriment?
Thank you for the input. I thought about the Quickdraw and Throwing shield things too.
The AC is not bad for sure. I was thinking of keeping it fairly light to make the most out of Dex.
I don't want to go into my stats but they fit for the Captain America style (Really high in all fields)
Might even try to get Azlanti *Smirks*
Azlanti? I don't know what that is. is it a race?
Azlanti Human +2 to all stats, Bonus Feat, Etc (All human traits)
whats that from? I don't get it, if thats in the game. whats the point of human if you can just play a way way better human.
I believe its in the inner sea settings.
They are pretty much extinct, they thrived thousands of years ago and the gillmen evolved from them. But the book says some could still be alive, frozen asleep, on other planes, etc.
Its also up to GMs to permit and some people feel a +2 to every stat along with a bonus feat is just too powerful.
It would fit the concept of Rodgers to revive after a long frozen sleep is all.
+2 to each would be like the super soldier serum.
yeah, I looked it up after you posted it and though I can't find the actual book, everyone seems to be saying the same thing. personally I would only allow it if everyone else from the party was also playing a 'monster race' I mean a +12 to your ability score is pretty crazy. it does seem pretty fitting but remember, captain america's party also consists of the strongest being on the planet and an actual god haha.
Very true, but if you are doing point buy, you could offset that by giving them a step down or two of the point buy. So someone with 25 point buy can give the Azlanti a 15 point buy. Or simply say that everyone's point buys begin from 10 not 8.

I just looked at the link you provided and for a captain america build, its really off. some of the suggestions are pretty poor IMO. in fact, I'm pretty sure it doesn't even work. it relies on throwing heavy shields and you can't actually throw heavy shields or at least, you can't use the shield champions features to throw them.
I'm actually playing a character based on captain america based character right now and I think he's pretty close in terms of battle styles.
first of all, the shield you'll want is a quickdraw throwing shield.
normally drawing a shield is a full round action. which sucks, however a quickdraw shield lets you do it as a swift action combined with a move action. and if you have the quickdraw feat it becomes a free action. as I'm sure you know a round is 6 seconds and it definitly doesn't take Cap 6 seconds to put on his shield.
--edit---
actually you can throw a heavy shield if its a throwing shield. my mistake. only problem is then it can't be a quickdraw shield. which I think is much more fitting and important than the shield going from a d4 to a d6.
--------
not only do you want your shield to be a quickdraw shield, you also want it to be a throwing shield. I know the shield champion archetype gets the 'throw shield' ability at third level, the range for that ability is only 10 feat. the range for the throwing shield is 30 feet.
I know a heavy shield does more damage with a shield bash. but at the end of the day, you're a brawler. you use your fists for a reason, because you can throw a mean punch/kick/headbutt whatever. besides, captain america is famous for throwing his shield.
at 5th level you get the returning shield class feature, but if thats too long a wait for you you can try to get a hold of a Blink belt before then. the blink belt might actually be more effective than the level 5 ability, but personally I think the level 5 ability has nicer flavour. I prefer caps shield ricocheting back to him rather than just teleporting onto his back after he...

Well our play is to teach a new player so we will run a few mods back to back the first arc is the 1-5 Quest for Immortality (Everflame and all that) and then going to do a homebrew from 6-12 most likely.
