![]() More about Tedriss: He grew up the kind of poor that no one wants to know about. His family all engaged in extra-legal activity and marginal survival strategies from begging, petty theft, drugs to sex-work. One day at 16 years of age, Tedriss' luck ran out and he was imprisoned for several years for possession of pesh. They took away his book of formulae and all of his tools. And over the year, he has lost a lot of what he learned. Upon getting out, life was just as hard as ever. He lost track of his family and friends from before and had no network. Being offered a job with the Watch was bizarre and, frankly offensive but he figured, the city watch is the biggest gang in town. He has an income, a roof over his head and food on his plate. And! He's started rebuilding his alchemical knowledge, one formula at a time. He's actually starting to see how his background gives him an angle other watchmen lack. ![]()

![]() My Hell's vengeance character is a Dhampir, Spiritualist with the Necrologist archetype.
evil Q&A: 1. What is your opinion of the Order of the Godclaws failure at Isger?
He doesn’t find Hellknights nearly as intimidating as they think they are. 2. Where do you see yourself in the high echelons of Cheliax's tangled web of government? He isn’t a believer per se. He simply wishes to maintain the tolerance towards necromancy that makes Cheliax such a convenient place or him to live. Rising through the ranks may very well 3. You have captured the loved one of a hero. What do you make them do in exchange for their safe return? Will you keep their word of feast on the tears of absolute sadness? Having my captive’s loved ones jump through hoops sounds amusing. But at the end of the day, they will receive the hero as a zombie. Why should I deny the hero the gift of undeath to please a few non-entities? 4. You are transporting a cartload of contraband in a public street when a pair of bored guards stop you talking about passage fees, potential fines and a requirement to search your cart. What do you do? Use my magic to scare them away. Or should I have my Phantom do it? He seems awfully restless these days... 5. Someone powerful you fancy has invited you into their bedchambers. However there are many unpleasant rumors to the fate of their partners. What do you do? Compare notes! Just kidding. My lovers are usually alive when I discard them. Chances are I do not truly care for this person. I shall meet with them out of curiosity and then teach them a lesson if they think to harm me. 6. Your lifes nemesis is at your mercy. Give me your villain speech. I forgive you! I want to help you be your best self. That is why you have been buried alive. Soon you will be reborn as you were truly meant to be. That’s it! Scream! Let it all out, soon you won’t need air or food or anything. Yes... 7. Without describing their job, name, or appearance tell me who your character is. Focused, quiet and morbid. ![]()
![]() This is for my Hell's Vengeance character. (sorry for not spoiler the Q&A part earlier!)The second vignette is from the Eidolon's perspective. vignette:
It was two hours past midnight before Prysta summoned him. Making sure that the rest of the household were asleep, she focused causing the tattoo on her forehead to glow red. He appeared in a puff of smoke and brimstone: the Nadir of Ruin. He looked every inch the Devil from the horns curving over his ears to the forked tail extending from over his buttocks. Maybe the cliched appearance should have tipped her off. There were no pleasantries of salutations, their souls were practically one. So Prysta cut to the heart of the matter.
Mother was so pleased with her. She was planning to apprentice Prysta to the Conjurer whom she herselfhad trained with but this was even better. Bonding with a Devil! When the Nadir of Ruin came into Prysta's life she began to dream of a powerful figure with terrible claws and thick golden mane framing his leonine face. Beautiful and terrifying he called out to the heavens in a mighty roar. One morning, Prysta summoned a lesser fiend for practice. Her control over the larva falters and it lunges towards her. Instinctively she called out to the Nadir of Ruin who appeared by her side dispatching the little beast. He helped her up and looks at he rand immediately she saw the same stare as the figure from my dreams. Thinking of of that moment now, several days later she had to ask: "Who are you, really?" she asked.
Prysta almost fell out of her chair. She moved to her vanity and began combing her hair.
vignette:
I have served the forces of Good with loyalty and dedication for millennia. Why then, am I being punished so? To be bonded to a Devil-binder is bad enough, but every time I manifest in the Prime Plane, I look like... Aargh, I can't even think it!
But this woman is not evil. At least I see no evil in her aura. She is not good either but I see the potential for it. I feel her doubts about the toxic norms she was raised with. Could this be my task? To guide a lost soul on the path to redemption? I cannot see what use I can be in this diminished form. With time I may grow stronger but even then, I am trapped in this diabolical disguise. For that matter, what assurances have I that she will help me return to my true form? I am not completely under her thrall but we are linked. Her life is effectively mine as well. sample RP: Atrios casts a sympathetic glance at Miles. In his own reality, Miles had confided his past trauma. That he never had a chance to heal from it was an extra layer of to the tragedy of his death. "Ah, let me explain," he said "I didn't do this. I'm not even sure what this is. I am Atrios. But from another reality. For whatever reason, of all the possible versions of us, we have been in contact. I think maybe a higher power has given us a chance to switch places," Were they doing the right thing? He remembered seeing the rift open, feeling it open. What else could he do but go in? Impulsiveness was a multiversal constant in all versions of Atrios. "Atrios," he put his arm around his other self brushing aside stray lock of hair. "It's time. Don't worry, my friends will take good care of you and I'll be in touch. Our connection should still hold. if not I'll find a way to contact you." He looked at the rift. It was ever so slightly smaller than a moment ago. As a reality-warper, he could sense that the rift would close soon. "Quickly Atrios!" he cautioned There cannot be two of us in the same reality for too long,"

![]() So I'm imagining Viridian as being barely 2 years old. Their parent came to Nakondis believing the soil would be ideal for planting the Ghorus seed within them. Since then Viridian has been a part of the colony's community working in construction and providing light for the crops on cloudy days. Their love of Sunlight translates to a natural talent for the Solarian's powers. ![]()

![]() Hi I'd like to submit Kedikara a Catfolk Maestro Bard with the Hellknight historian background. I enjoy a balance between combat and social encounters. I like to build my characters' personalities as I go along because so many times the PC that develops is miles away from the initial conception. ![]()
![]() Here is the profile for my character. Khyron 'Kuno' Aendar a Druid with the Cave Druid archetype and the Night Subdomain. Background:
Kuno was born from the Dwarven community of Magnimar. All of his life he has been fascinated byt the various monuments. He would try all manner of foolishness to activate their magic and receive a boon. It was usually in the dead of night that he would do this. Over time, he developed an affinity for the dark and the creatures of the night. Shadows and crevices are as much a part of the natural world as fields and forests, after all, and being a Dwarf, the tunnels and caves of the world are his inheritance. Personality and Appearance: He is dark of hair and beard and his face is stark, resting in an expression of sternness. A loner and an introvert, Kuno is ill-practiced at social discourse. Those who get to know him and earn his trust will find a deep reservoir of warmth and loyalty. He can also be somewhat morbid without realizing how far his sensibilities are from those of other people even other Dwarves. ![]()
![]() Quote: Sha'ir I am going to have to stick with only the three books I have for class abilities. I have to stick to my guns on this one. If I let one person do something out of what is available I will have to let others. Thanks for your interest. I look forward to seeing you dwarf druid. No problem! I'll go for the cave subdomain from APG. ![]()

![]() Here is the link to Zeobilex's character sheet. "It's not that bad!" I said as the Silver Stoat's innkeeper tended to my wounds. A few of the locals had given him a welcome to Heldren party that left me covered in bruises. The innkeeper had shooed them away just before they killed me. I could have healed myself but casting the 'wrong' kind of spells openly was something I still hid by second nature. "Honestly, I appreciate that they noticed me. I feel seen!"
So it was back to the Border Wood for me! It's a good thing I can refill my waterskin and start small fires otherwise.., well never mind. I'd offer thanks to the power that gives me my magic but I don't know which one it is. At one point, I'm woken up from a nap (no food!) as some men pass by. I doubt they were after me be all the same I hid in the shadows, gathering them around me. I overheard them talking about a presence in the woods. They weren't talking about me. I may be from a despised people but I'm only one person. Then they mentioned the local soothsayer warning of darkness. Darkness? Well, count me in. ![]()

![]() I want to play a drow. I'm looking at different options for charisma based casters. Drow have an alternate racial feature called shadow sorcery. Quote: "Drow with this trait have a supernatural affinity for shadow. A drow sorcerer with the shadow bloodline treats her Charisma score as 2 points higher for all sorcerer class abilities and for spells with the shadowUM descriptor she casts. This racial trait replaces poison use." Would one be able to apply this to an oracle with the Shadow mystery? ![]()

![]() Here is Prysta Sapio and her secret celestial The Nadir of Ruin. Background is in each profile. ![]()
![]() Prysta Sapio is an unchained summoner with the devil imposter archetype. Her ediolon is an agathion disguised as a devil (I haven't decided what kind yet, maybe a pit fiend?). She will be Neutral and gradually shift towards Neutral Good. Her reason for protesting is that her Eidolon encouraged her that she is not alone in her discomfort with the status quo and her chance to act has arrived. She comes from a family of Chelish Conjurers. Her mother is especially respected and accomplished wizard. When Prysta instinctively bonds with an outsider, apparently a devil, mother is proud indeed. What Prysta discovers is that her eidolon 'Nadir of Despair' is, in fact, a celestial being disguised as an outsider. When she asks him why he would choose to bond with someone like her he simply says: "I'm your way out" |
