I push the corpse of this dog off and head back to the group. Yes, yes good work but there is clearly more work to be done As Conwall grabs my arm I look a little confused How does this elf know me? I wonder. As the door is opened and a strange tentacle tries reaching me I attempt to roll back to miss their first try and to see how far they can reach.

As the flames begin to grow on the cloak I rip it off, pull out Floyd Tear off its throat I whisper as I charge with my sword drawn and Floyd ready to jump from my should.

As I roll away another arrow is quickly placed and fired.

Due to the need of acrobatics my accuracy is low and my arrow is not as powerful as normal.

As a boulder starts to form in the air I quickly pull out the bow and fire once more while this strange stone wolf has the hounds engaged.

Finding the stone wolf to be so large and quick I find it difficult to aim so I move a little closer and hope this one shot will destroy a hound.

I toss my bow on my back draw my sword and attempt to roll back as I yell Belym a quick blast at these beasts and I'll finish them off!

As the gate goes down I immediately fire at anything that exits the tower.

I must move closer to get a better look inside, unable to see past the dust of the gate just falling, I do not know what might be coming out.

I make my way back down the tree.

Pick up my sword and adventuring gear and tap Belym on the shoulder.
Good shot there, couldn't have made it a little lower hmm? I say with a slight grin. Grab you stuff and lets move up, slowly, you keep an eye on the western wall I'll keep mine on the eastern.

As I see a tree nearby explode in flames I holler We only have one on the walls the rest appear to be trying to break through the gate. I point to the lone figure standing on the wall. Belym do you see him? We have one chance to bring him down, that will give the rest of you the opening to the wall once ther Belym and I will approach from the rear and keep an I up above. Everyone ready? Belym on three do your thing! 1......2.....3......

The last that I saw was the group of 3 or so still on the wall, and a light growing brighter inside behind the gate but give me one moment to scan once more. I look again to see if I notice a change now that the gate has been shut.

They know where we are and many might be coming, the power they have seems more dangerous than the beast you just killed. The magic they wield is something I am not familiar with. My bow is ready once more, Ron what is your call?

I tighten the strings on my bow once more as the shots lately seem to have flown too loose, I hold an arrow in my left hand lightly and hold it up in the air to see how the wind moves it and gauge direction. I then place the arrow, draw the bow and began to shorten my breath for a clean shot. I await for an order.....

Things are about to heat up! We got more coming and it looks like they are still summoning something at the tower! Thaddeus do you have an ideas on how to quickly slay this beast, Ron we have reinforcements headed this way, what will you have me do? I yell down to the group.

I draw my bow and aim at where the ones from the gate will be headed, I will fire once I hear Ron's plan or once I have a clear shot.

As I hear a fight beginning down below I quickly look down and see an Elf?! Damn where did he come from! I think as I draw my bow and aim it at the beast now surrounded by my comrades.

Once the arrow is released I look back at the tower before drawing a new one and try to search the walls to see if the figures are still on the wall, if any new light has begun to form or if anyone has left the gates.

Yes that would work! In fact that could have been where may family picked up the art of archery or trained to be a little better and we still have the same bow that my grandfather used.

You reach where you wanted to, what did you have to leave behind to get there?

The straps on my adventuring gear bag and the weight of my sword caused it difficult to climb up so I toss them both down to the bottom of the tree and attempt to check on how soon the beast will be and what is going on at the tower.

As we get to the clearing I look for a sturdy tree that may allow me to view the open area as well as the wall in the distance. I climb high enough to stay covered from the leaves but able to view the surrounding area.

As Ron begins to run back I toss my bow on my back and sprint ahead looking for a clearing in the woods with enough coverage from the wall and enough room for Ron and Thaddeus to destroy this creature.

The casters are linked we must destroy their chain! And it looks like this fight is about to get harder! I point to the summoning circle. Again I must say, we need to fall back and get out of range of the casters on the wall! Prepare to run, as soon as I fire they will know we are all here!

I take aim at the caster on the wall. the one in the middle of the other two and attempt to break the link.

Good shot Belym! I think we should try to move out of range from those things on the walls! We may be outnumbered if we stay in this position! I begin looking for a place in the woods causing difficulty for the figures on the wall to see us but large enough for Ron and Thaddeus to attack the beast.

I pull a single piece of grass off the ground and place it between my thumbs, i blow a very high whistle (similar to a dog whistle) to bring Floyd quickly back to me. As I look to see the beast charge I quickly scramble to the nearest tree and kneel behind it. My bow is in my hand, arrow resting on my finger, left eye squinting as I survey what is incoming. What am I looking at here?!? Just tell me when and this arrow will fly!

As we arrive, I start to look at the other walls without the gate and pull Floyd out of my pocket Go find us a hole I whisper and send him scurrying to the other walls with no gate.

One soldier had a distinctive crest on his shield. the rest have generic Braxan shield. that guys is probably calling the shots

As time begins to grow longer as we wait in the town I start to show many signs of being concerne, worry and uncomfortably. I cross my arms, my head darts in every direction, it is clear the sooner we leave the better.

Burn the bodies in the woods, thats a great way to start a forest fire I mutter to myself Like I said the creatures around here will leave nothing but the bones, but I am not one to step in the way of a holy man, so do as you please Thaddeus. I leave the site and keep an eye out for movement as they prepare the fire.

My friends, do you not think the smoke might attract what else might be in the woods? Perhaps its best we leave them for the hungry animals of the woods and let nature take its course

Well there is no doubt Ravager's had set up here (pointing out a tent with the mangled head of something dangling like a prized decoration) It looks like this (I point to a few of the soldiers pilled on each other) may just be a smaller patrol from a larger unit as I don't see any insignia of high leadership on any of these other corpses. I don't know what they are looking for but I have no doubt there are more Braxos troops in these woods and if they found this camp..... they probably have found many others. Norwhich can't handle another assault, not until they can patch up that wall. Ron you know the Braxos better then most, what's your call?

Easiest way to find out, check their food I make my way to the campfire, walking carefully over each body and keeping my eye out for movement. I begin to look for any kind of cooking pot, pan, cooked meat in the area.

Good day Belym, yes this is not the first time that Belym and I have searched the woods. Have you had any luck finding your kin? Well our large foreign friend was quite baddly hurt so it might be best to let him rest for a while longer. Let us head out, I marked the trail just that way He begins to lead them to the edge of the woods where the trail had started and his markings of bent branches begun.

Alignment: Help an animal or spirit of the wild. I did provide more food for the foxes in the woods so maybe?
Bonds: No update stay as is
• Did we learn something new and important about the world? Braxos infantry are on Tarnard land and near Norwhich.
• Did we overcome a notable monster or enemy? The Brute was certainly notable to Scath as he had never seen one with the Ravagers before.
• Did we loot a memorable treasure? Yes, Ravagers pockets were rich.

Seeing Ron and Thaddeus exit the gate I pick up Floyd and head towards them. I told you to enjoy the night Ron, not succumb to all of its temptations I say with a small smile. I nod to say hello to Thaddeus Well I found their trail easy enough, theres a site of death not too far away, Ravagers, Braxos soliders... just bodies everywhere. I have marked the trail so it will be easy to get back. Something has my friends of the forest on edge this morning so we will need to keep our eyes open and prepare for any danger. I glance around to breifly peak into the city Has anyone seen Belym? I hope she hasn't gotten lost.

Having risen well before the sun, feeling quite well rested and ready for a new day. I head over to the edge of the woods near where the trail starts. I find a tree to lean against and wait.

The sun has just begun to peak over the horizons, I am now sitting near the tree tightening the strings on my bow and reorganizing my quiver.

The sun has now fully embraced the horizon, I am now tossing cheese into the air and trying to get Floyd to catch them, tossing cheese to a blind rat ends with dirt covered cheese but a happy, full rat.. Where are they?!? I think.

I'll need to show the others I think, I begin marking a trail by bending a branch here and there back to the edge of the woods near the northern gate. As I head out of the city it is easy to spot the larger prints left by the brute slain by Rigwald. I pull Floyd out of my pocket allowing him to roll around and smell the prints left in the dirt as that is his main way of tracking. After a few moments he stops and looks up at me Lets hunt I say as we both follow the prints into the woods.

Hunt and Track: 2d6 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (1, 4) + 1 + 2 = 8

I've never once seen them attack such a defensible place, but then again Ive never seen them with that brute of a beast either. It does seem strange to see so many signs of Braxos. I will head back to the wood and see if I can find a trail. Get some rest my friend, share a drink with the others and I will see you when the sun rises

I nod my head, pull up my hood and begin to slink back into the shadows and back out of the city.

As I get to the tavern I see Rigwald enter. I go to the wall and take a quick look in the window. Its been years since I set foot inside, there are new faces and some familiar...old friends, those that cursed me and even some that punished me. I can't go in, Floyd, go get Ron, he'll know to meet me back here I whisper to Floyd before he begins sneaking into the tavern to try to get Ron's attention. A trick I have done before.

Not quite sure what to roll for this, Floyd is stealthy and able to search and scout
