So I was just thinking, is Pathfinder 1st Edition PFS still played, or is it canceled for Pathfinder 2nd Edition?

I think it will discourage people from trying out a new class by using a pregen. I think it will hurt our newest players. I think it will punish the helpful players who want to balance their team. I know that it is making me question whether I really want to play Maelstrom's Rift, a game that I have been looking forward to ever since it was announced. Yes, I want to play a dragon bard. But not if it means potentially killing off my real bard, Jasmine and her Wu Chai Tea Empire.

Even more disturbing is the question of what raising lethality will serve. Why punish someone for playing a class that they've never tried before in a special? How does additional lethality help us all Explore, Cooperate and Report??? I've heard some people say that if there is no chance of death, the game becomes less fun. I understand some of the thinking behind this philosophy, but I disagree. Character deaths are a bummer that can cause good players to decide that it's not worth playing anymore.

PFS has always had different factions within it. There are the people who want hard-mode and the adenaline thrill. There are also people who thrive on the teamwork and roleplay of PFS.

If we want to curb abuse, I think we need to find another path because this solution will not fix it. If we want to increase risk... Is this the way we really want to do this? Who might we be driving away? Who will we be hurting?

I think that this decision was flawed, and I humbly request that the triumverate reconsider.

This sums up my thoughts much better than I could have put into words, especially the part I put in bold text. So, if I want to play this character... so what if you don't need another sorcerer... under these new rules, I will NEVER play a pregen for any reason.

Actually what is the DC? Last time I said it was 15, but I think I am wrong... the book says The save DC is equal to 10 + 1/2 your sorcerer level + your Charisma modifier so it's only 14, yes? Since you always round against the character it's just 10+Cha until level 2?

Ahh, Arcane wasn't one of the choices, that's why it was confusing.

Replacing your roll with a Linguistics check gets you a 14.

Okay, first of all full disclosure, I realized after my last game I forgot to update my gold and chronicle allowed purchases made on my online profile, so I did that. I gained 479 gold and used 135g to purchase a Wand of Summon Monster I ( (CL 3rd, 9 charges) (option on chronicle sheet, limit 1)

Luna purchases 50 foot of hemp rope, a common survival kit, 2 antitoxins and 4 sunrods. Lastly she purchases a backpack to carry it all in.

On Realistic Likeness: That's cool, as far as I know Paizo/PFS has yet to make any kind of official clarification, so at this time it's a 'table variance' issue, hence why I always ask.

Question, how do you interpret the Realistic Likeness feat? Some GMs limit it to humans only since the initial ability is a single human, some allow it to be used for any humanoid race as the feat doesn't mention humans only, just a 'specific individual'.

Yah, if I need to do that I will even if I need to go to Kinko's or something to scan it. I just found out that my printer/scanner doesn't work for some reason the other day when I tried to use it for an unrelated issue.

So, how do I get the physical sheet I have listed like that online for when I play online without having to scan in the PDF and such?

Hell, for that matter how do I make sure that game was even reported properly? Topeka's VC moved to Texas shortly after that game and I've had no contact with anyone since.

I've thought about looking into the requirements myself, but not sure if I am able with how new to PFS I am. Plus, being an actual VC I doubt I could do with that 'convention' requirement.

Half-elves can take Half-elf, Elf, or Human FCBs in FPS play.

Half-orcs can take Half-orc or Human FCBs in PFS play, but not Orc, as those are contained in a section of the ARG that is not legal for play.

But to use the OP's example, could an Aasimar take Scion of Humanity, then take Racial Heritage: Dwarf, then take Dwarf Favored Class bonuses? This is legal by the Paizo FAQ, but as I understand it is NOT legal in PFS, or is it?

Wait, I thought Favored Class bonuses were specifically forbidden with racial heritage (as in half-orcs cannot take orc or human, only half-orc) in PFS. Has this recently changed?

I asked this once before, but I forgot the answer, plus it may have changed.

So, to try to keep it short. My first ever PFS game was this past Free RPG Day where, since there were more players than pregen goblins, we played through a regular PFS adventure of that tier. Since I had no character, I used a pregen and was told that I could either apply it to my first character right away and it would be worth less, or I could wait until I was level 3 and apply it then. I've decided to wait.

Now, my question is when the time comes, how do I apply the character to my account? I noticed that the online game I played is listed for me, but of course as my character wasn't made at the time, the pregen game isn't.

I would ask the VC but he moved to Texas and didn't give me any info about his successor before he did. :( Soo um... maybe if the VC in charge of Topeka, Kansas might have to be the one to apply it?

Yeah, I need to get a few more games under my belt because I am sitting on a level 3 pregen (my first ever PFS legal game. Was supposed to be We Be Goblins Free! however there was more players interested than the game could support with its pregen goblins, so we instead did a regular adventure of that level (the store said you had to play in a game to get the book in order to be fair about the limited copies), but since I was new I had to play a pregen. So I was told I could save the sheet and apply it when I am level 3)

I'd like clarification on the Inspire Imitation Alternate Trait (from Heroes of the Streets.) As far as I can tell, it's PFS legal... Except it's not because it replaces a racial trait that Half-Elves don't have.

Well yeah I kinda agree, but it would be fun if it was for RP. So yeah, it's apparently technically PFS legal but... how can it be when half-elves don't have "skilled" ?

So it was asked by someone else, but due to political talk the thread was closed without a definitive answer.

What does this replace since Half-Elves don't have skilled?

Might we assume the intent was Adaptability?

After all, the trait IS PFS legal which is therefore kind of odd, as how do you take it?
