It should come as no surprise that I let 3pp material into my game. I generally let folks use/play whatever they want and if it unbalances the game then we find ways to tweak things.
Putting on my 3pp hat, let me say that we at Super Genius want in no way to break or unbalance your game, it's just not a smart business decision.
In fact, I've often told folks that we don't want to break your game, just make it more awesome. :)

Kthulhu wrote: A question for you, Hyrum. With the recent announcement that Monte was also rejoining Wizards of the Coast, does this mean that Dungeon-A-Day is likely to switch to 4E? Because I did the year-long subscription a few months back, but if the site were to switch to 4E, I really would lose interest. No worries, it's Pathfinder from here on out. :)

Over at Dungeonaday.com we've now come to the end of The Necropolis of Pergia, our first post-Dragon's Delve adventure. Huge thanks to Charles Ryan for giving us such a terrific adventure.
As I write this, all the members of Super Genius Games have gathered together to have a summit meeting PARTICULARLY to talk about and make plans for the coming 6-10 months of Dungeonaday.com. In the meanwhile, though, the site rolls on. With Necropolis done, it's time to roll on to our next stand-alone adventure ... and we're VERY happy to announce that it features the return of Monte Cook.
Beginning today, subscribers will get more than two weeks of encounters that create a short adventure entitled The Tomb-World of Alak-Ammur. It's a 12th-level adventure that can be placed in any setting. Well ... really ... it isn't IN any setting, it sits kind of alongside the game world like a ... no ... I've said too much. You must visit the site and find out yourself.
Personally, we're THRILLED that Monte had time in his busy schedule to write this adventure for us. As we said when Super Genius Games first started working on Dungeonaday.com, one of our big regrets was that it was going to mean that we didn't get to read daily doses of Monte's work anymore. Working on Tomb-World has been a ton of fun because it rekindled that opportunity. I hope (and I'm sure) you all will get just as big a thrill out of this adventure as we did.
So head on over to the site, sign up, and check out the introduction and encounter 1 of The Tomb-World of Alak-Ammur. And be sure to leave a post letting us know what you think!

Thanks folks! :)
And the Trek references are awesome! For me it goes:
DS9
TOS
TNG
VOY
ENT, although Season 4 was getting pretty good.

Hey everyone, Super Genius is expanding its product line with a new series of adventurous locations. Titled Adventurer's Atlas, these products will give you fully detailed locations with NPCs, important maps, and short adventurers and adventure hooks to get you into the action right away. We're launching this series with Adventurer's Atlas: Outpost Qether.
Outpost Qether is a generic location set on the borders of any two nations with a tense relationship. The outpost is home to all sorts: traders, criminals, farmers, and military men. It's a place where hope is fading fast now that distant rulers have decided that the fifty-year-old installation has outlived its usefulness. Unless someone finds a good reason for the outpost to remain, it will be shutdown.
Recently however, local scouts have returned with news: hobgoblins have set up a small post to the east and are digging for...something. Perhaps it might be just the thing to give the outpost reason to exist. All they need now is a party of adventurers to find out what's going on over there.
Outpost Qether is designed to serve as a starting point for new plots, campaigns, or even single adventures. Included with the basic setting information is an adventure for characters of level 1-3, where the PCs will investigate a secret hobgoblin camp approximately one day’s march from the Outpost.
Check it out here: Adventurer's Atlas: Outpost Qether

These things happen. Thanks for the kind words folks and it was a pleasure to work at Paizo and help get Season 3 off the ground.
PFS is going to be rocking and I can't wait to see what happens.
It is true that I'll be working with the Geniuses again. Should be a fun time. :)
Hey look, a new town with plenty of adventure seeds. You know you want it. :)
For existing scenarios, early next week. For Season 3 scenarios it'll be by no later than July 29th.
I posted that Expanded Arcana is where we were leaning but that the July update would have the final ruling and it still will. Until the July update goes live you're stuck with Extra Bombs.
Hyrum.
I'd love to find a way to help. :) I think getting a Venture Captain involved is a sure-fire way for it to happen though.
Hey everyone,
Thanks for volunteering! We've selected everyone and I'll be letting them know for which Tiers tomorrow. At this time we can't accept any more volunteers.
Thanks!
We're going to be there, although in what capacity is still be determined. :)
RETH-Mog wrote: I saw a few people mention it, but is there any chance that the pregens can be posted as a pdf (hopefully sometime tomorrow)? It would be very useful to be able to print them out rather than have to use a copier. I've just asked the art team to compile a PDF of the pregens and once that's done I'll get it to the web team for them to put up on the product page.

Hi Michael,
Email me please at hyrum.savage@Paizo.com and we'll get it worked out.

Thanks for the review Painlord! Looks like my bribe worked. ;)

I need some advice on selecting a Tier 5-9 scenario that tends to run short rather than long.
Any suggestions?
How short? 2 hours? 3 hours?

Lord Twitchiopolis wrote: I posed this question in the Ultimate Magic PFS thread, but got no official answer to it.
The Vivisectionist alchemist archtype from UM replaces bombs with sneak attack, counting alchemist levels as rouge levels for purposes of sneak die. In PFS, the Alchemist gets Extra Bomb instead of Brew Potion as a first level feat. In PFS, does the Vivisectionist get a different feat, or is he stuck with one that modifies a class ability he no longer has?
We're digging out of the PaizoCon hole but I wanted to jump in and say that we're working on this and that Alchemists with archetypes that don't get bombs will replace Extra Bombs with Expanded Arcana, which grants an additional 1st-level extract.
This will appear in Additional Resources in July since the June update has already been submitted to the web team.

Anyone have any idea if this is true? Or is Amazon just being wonky? Just Amazon being wonky. Last I heard the books were almost at the warehouse.

Did I really give him that 5th star? Jason I can understand, but Kyle? And didn't I take a star or two away for Kyle not killing enough PCs at the Grend Melee?
What was I thinking?
;)
Congrats Jason and Kyle! You both seriously deserve that 5th star.
Hyrum.
Hey Chris,
There's was originally going to be a GM goodie bag but what I wanted to do didn't materialize, so the GM credit for each event run was increased from the original $10 to $15.
Hope that helps!
Hyrum.
Thanks everyone for making it such an awesome show!
You guys all rocked! Thanks for being a part of this event. :)

Good luck!

Majuba wrote: I was checking the schedule, and it was showing all the Seminars as being in the Hemlock room. Shouldn't that be the large Evergreen room on the 2nd floor? The Evergreen room is now the dealer room and Hemlock, which was the dealer room last year, will now host the seminars.
Hyrum.
It'll be up late today. Fashionably late. ;)
Clark Peterson wrote: Hey Ryan, great to see you and I hope to see you at the Con. Will PaizoCon be able to handle this much OGL power? You'll have to come to find out!

It will be made available as a PFS event but not until it goes live unfortunately.

Thanks my friend!
As of right now there are no plans to make the cantrips in Jason's blog post PFS legal.

Congrats Kyle! Can't wait to subject you to the ritual in a few weeks. :)
Hey everyone,
In case a flame war erupts this weekend, Mark and I are both going to be away from Internet access this weekend including Monday. Mark will be back in the office Tuesday while I'll be out of the office all of next week at Book Expo of America in New York and then at Comicpalooza in Houston this weekend. I'll be running a playtest of You Only Die Twice on Saturday (Slot 4 I think) if you want to sign up for it. :)
Next weekend is also my birthday weekend and I'm open to being bribed to spill the beans on the new factions. :D
I'd have to be a pretty big bribe though FYI.

Dragnmoon wrote: Thank you so much for highlighting the new additions to Additional Resources in red, it makes it much easier to distinguish what is new! :)
The playtest version of the Magus is legal until the Additional Resources page gets updated, which should be today or tomorrow. :)
I need to check with Mark about this and Mark is out of the office until next week, at which point I'll be out of the office until the following week.
We'll get an answer to this, but it'll take a couple of weeks. :)
Hyrum.
New factions will have an "allied" faction for purposes of earlier faction missions. So members of the Knights of the Rose and Cross* would use the Andoran missions, while the Lollypop Guild** would use Cheliax.
*Not necessarily the real faction names.
**Or are they? ;)

Ross or Hyrum, ARE there any NEW events that were added???
No new events have been added although events have moved around a bit.
