According to his Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/savageplanet) today was Hyrum savage's last day at Paizo. Is this a sign of changes coming to how much support PFS is getting?
I'm pretty sure it won't lessen the support that PFS is getting. Paizo see it as a very important element. I'm sad to see Hyrum leaving though.

This is true, sadly.
For the time being, campaign management is in the capable hands of Mark Moreland, but this development means that the Organized Play Manager position is currently open. We will be on the lookout for candidates at Gen Con, and will likely post a formal job description shortly thereafter.
We thank Hyrum for his service to Paizo and the Pathfinder Society campaign, and wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors. Hyrum is a really good guy with a lot to offer, and I am sure he will land on his feet in no time.

Make sure you don't invite Mark then, and if he decides to come on his own, do everything you can to prevent him from reaching the venue! ;-)

I don't want to appear to speak for Paizo (because I do not), but I think it is fair to say that with the sizable Venture Captain community and Mark Moreland's interim handling (per Erik), you shouldn't have to worry about the support for PFS. We're going on strong and as far as I'm aware, we're not seeing any changes in PFS other than the leadership.
I do want to wish Hyrum the best of luck though. I had the opportunity to meet him at Paizo Con and he really is a fantastic guy.

These things happen. Thanks for the kind words folks and it was a pleasure to work at Paizo and help get Season 3 off the ground.
PFS is going to be rocking and I can't wait to see what happens.
Well said Hyrum.
Really sorry to see you leaving Pathfinder Society but know that you'll land on your feet so good luck for the future.Sebastian Bella Sara Charter Superscriber |

But hat about all the Red Bull I have coming for you at Gen Con?
Hyrum, it was a great pleasure to get to hang with you and I thank you for all the great work you have done for PFS this past year.
Onward and upward sir. And if ever you have the desire to work on this coast, I'm sure we can manage to find you a pleasant gig.
Hope to hear good things from you soon.
Best.

Don't you mess with Sean Bean. He put two past Man United to take the Blades through in the League Cup yanno. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XeLkCKLhPos

I do not think the position is cursed, rather burn out is more to blame. I did not start posting around here til after Josh was in charge, so I do not know the exact reason that Nick left, but your could tell that at least part of it for Josh was burn out. I just can't remember if he said so directly or more hinted at it. Now look at what Hyrum came into with the PFS and the heavy load and the tons of posts and work to try and get caught up, even with Mark's help. Hyrum did a good job in the year he was around, even with the "let's harass the new guy into seeing things our way" posts that happened for a while.
Hyrum, I would say good luck, but you do not need it. Luck is for people without skills. :)

What, Sean Bean takes time out of his busy acting schedule to play soccer too? ;)

Hyrum is a 100% class act and he will land on his feet wherever he goes. I know we'll see him around, so even if you didn't get to meet him at PaizoCon I am sure he's not going into hiding. He's got that natural ability to talk to total strangers and feel like an old friend. I'll miss him as the OP Manager.

Hmm. Maybe we should start charging ambitious marketing specialists looking for a vacancy at Paizo to invite the current incumbent to the next PaizoCon UK. If we charged enough, we could upgrade the services offered to attendees and lower the ticket prices... :D
