It is now.

Nobody told me we were telling people.

I sense a great awkwardness in the force. Probably just those cafeteria tacos.

[ooc]Well now this is... interesting.[/url]

See?! We're going to lose so much business that I use to help fund this place....

Your memory is slipping, bro. Avalon Academy is the name. Although I'm pretty sure it says Avalon Academy for Gifted Youngsters on the plaque outside of the building. Geez. No wonder you needed time off! ;P
Hey, you try figuring out repercussions on the timeline because of [REDACTED], eventually figuring out that means [REDACTED] is in the school, and see how much time off you need. :p
Oh, please. I have two time traveling daughters. You can't impress me with your talk about repercussions to the timeline ;P

Do you even know how much havoc those two cause seers?!

Harrumph. There was nothing anonymous about that note, I assure you. I simply informed you of the reasonable danger of the man being flattened should he continue with his unwanted advances in person. ;)

Yes, because having him call you is sooo much better.

I figured out a way to set my clock by bad decisions, actually. "Damn it, not again o'clock" for example.

I feel only Doc Zeppler could be better. Sadly, having once considered hiring him for a different teaching position, I received an 'anonymous' letter that, in lovely and elegant Draconic, advised against it(advised being a way to put it nicely).

The funny thing is the flash cards used for studying could also be used as a fortune telling/pregnancy test.

Students that aren't careful may find that they and their boy/girl/otherfriend might need to give themselves a pop quiz.

Decently sized fr forests that weren't around almost 30 years ago. I blame Adsila.

"I'm here to help, even if it's just letting you know the library is a place to start."

Not the one I'm thinking off. :p

"You let me handle that. The fey are.. best handled by someone who can see a trick or worse coming."
"Adon's antimagic was interfering with the function of the school building itself on the way here. The arrows went all fuzzy when he tried to use them. Is that going to be a problem in the library? I know that things work differently there. Not sure how much of it is magical or not."
Adon Derro wrote:

adon blinks a few times.

"I uh, hadn't even thought of that being a problem."

"That is.. unusual. But no, I don't think it will cause any major issuses in the library. While they are created by magic, they aren't magical anymore. Except the books that aren't but those are held in a pretty secure place."

"Yes, at first. If that doesn't turn up any leads... we might have to petition the Courts themselves for help. Not something I'm particularly wanting to do, mind you. I've already dealt with them once in this lifetime."

"Ancestral? The Faerie Courts have faced whatever this is before then. That's both useful and daunting. The Courts are not the... easiest organization to deal with."
"I'll be honest and say I have no clue about Faeries."

"In that case maybe it would be a good thing to find whatever they have that passes as a historian in their Courts and arrange for a meeting to discuss this."

I'll look on it and see what can be done to finish the scene.

"It's okay, Headmaster. Umm, it's just that Adon has had some disturbing news. I should probably let him explain. But he needs your help."
"Of course I'll help. You may stay if you'd like. Having a friend nearby may help as well."

adon closes his eyes, and takes a breath.

"Alright, well... Firstly, I've got some sort of horrible.... Thing, contained inside me. Reality melting abomination. And I was told you'd know who to direct me to."

"What can you tell me about it?"

Let's handle all the horrible, nasty, totally inconvenient for a learning environment plots before we go hunting Snipe, okay?

I've certainly thought about having a group of students that aren't exactly students when it comes to the less than morally/ethically right jobs.

Like taking out dangerous cult leaders.

It's not my fault students wreck it. I mean, come on, acid explosions?

And you all know the school fights back occasionally. Like in the SIM rooms during games. Or when motorcycle riding goblins hurt its poor, innocent doors. :(

Djalos Tyon wrote:
Djalos nods. "I would appreciate it if your friend would guide me to my room, yes."

Something warm and covered in fur lands on Djalos's shoulder and sits there with perfect balance.

"This is Ruji, a tressym, or winged cat. He's been the family guardian for about three hundred years. He can talk, of course, so you'll be able to communicate. He's quite nice. When he thinks he's been fed enough." Rio adds wryly.

"Well, that's because it's a very unusual school, to be honest. It will take a few hours for the bracelet to be made, so unless you prefer sitting outside my office, I'll arrange for you to go to your room or have my friend Ruji escort you around the school."

Djalos Tyon wrote:

Surprise flits across Djalos' face for a moment, but it quickly fades back to the brick wall that he had up during the rest of the conversation. "Thank you, Headmaster. Is there any relevant paperwork that I need to fill out? In addition, what are the courses that I can take while attending here?"

He fills out the necessary paperwork, and he picks the following courses:

  • Advanced Physical Education
  • Light Blades
  • Stealth
  • Engineering
  • Basic Mechanics
  • Free Block

Djalos uses braille to fill out the forms, and is obviously quite adept at it.

"Well, not to be rude or anything, but I'm quite impressed you filled out the correct spots in Braille. In any case, welcome to Avalon. Normally I'd tell you to use the walls to find your way around, or give you a map, but in your case that's not going to be an option." He pauses, thinking for a moment. "perhaps a wrist bands that pulls in the direction you want to go, or a guide?"

Ryo listens carefully, taking in every word and filing it away as he set up a room for Djalos.

"Mr. Tyon, there are currently no less than twenty students and one teacher at this school that have the same destructive potential as you. As for the military, well... I'm sure if they had a chance of forcing one of my students to become a weapon, they would have tried already. You're safe here, and so are your fellow students."

Djalos Tyon wrote:
The young man sighs and gets up from the chair that was never there, and raps on the Headmaster's door sharply.

The door opens to reveal a somewhat decorated office and a man sitting behind a spacious desk. He wears green robes and his hair matches the runic tattoos covering the left side of his face in color. Bright red. He looks a bit.. unsettled.

"Hello, Mr. Tyon, and my apologies for your wait. How may I help you?"

Personal Note: Seers can't see that coming either. Trust me, I tried.

"Go get ready if you need too." The Headmaster responds to Jeran. "In that time I will use my abilities to learn as much as I can and hopefully get you as close as I can when that time comes."

Having said this, Ryo takes out his first deck of cards as his office door opens. He had the best connection with this deck, and he'd need it to find his missing student.

"Find out what you can about the celestials first. We don't need caught in a power play between them. Get information, then contact me and we'll discuss the next course of action."

"All of you that are going, get ready, check in, and then go get that girl back before anything worse happens."

"Sometimes these demons use souls like mortals use the bodies of their victims as well. All the more reason to get her back, even if I hate sending students out like this... I'll send notices to your classes. I can not stress it enough that you must be careful at all times."

"Why do I even have wards?" Ryo asks himself, sighing mentally.

"Would you say that us an accurate description, Mr. Darkclaw?"

Silinrul smiles a bit of a predatory grin "I have not yet fought demons or demonic cultists. That could be fun, if you'll have me along. I can track with the best of them, though I am unsure how well successful I will be at that in a realm like the Abyss."
"Fine by me. I won't turn down help," he said, knocking loudly on the headmaster's door again.

The door swings open to show Ryo is talking with Ace.

"Sorry for the delay, Jeran, I'm looking into the recent murders around the school. How may I help you?"

"Well, I'm not sure how well that can.. Wait, could you tell who the students were? What they looked like? If your dream foretold a serial killer, then it might have done the same fir the victims."

"Ace" wrote:
Ace had been quiet, lost in thought, when suddenly he remembers something that had been nagging the back his mind since the first attack "Headmaster, this seems awfully similar to my dream I told you about Friday morning! "Tell me more about this dream, quickly."

"Ace" wrote:

"Well, the first part is easy. I worship the Traveler whose all about wandering, and transformation. He didn't want me sitting still. Opaque means not transparent, right? So something that isn't see through?" Ace muses aloud.

Hey Dami, can Ace make a check here to help figure this out? With an Int of 36 and all those Knowledges, he is FAR smarter than I am IRL

"That it does. You know, if the killer is hiding from divinations, yet remains in the school, scrying everyone in it might be your best option."

"That's pretty cryptic. Off the top of my head I've got no idea what it means."

"I've got time, for now. I've been trying to find them myself, but there's been so many pressing concerns lately my time on it has been, sadly and unfortunately, limited."

"Ace" wrote:
Ace says a silent thank you to the Traveler, and places his hand on the wall, seeking the Headmaster. He will then teleport to whereever he is, including inside his office Unless warded against. If the office won't let him teleport inside, he will bang on the door until let in, if he must

Ace soon finds himself outside of the Headmaster's office. Just before he can start knocking on the door though, it swings open.

Maps have always been handed out to new students. Just in case they forget about the walls.
