The Avalon Chronicles

Game Master lynora

This is a high level rules light game set in a school for magical kids, kinda a mash-up of Soul Eater, Harry Potter, and X-Men. :)

When Dave blushes, Tybalt does as well, putting one hand on his hip and the other behind his head, looking away. Maybe the two would have to settle for being vice-chairmen of the Awkward kingdom, at least in regards to each other. His hand positions leave the cardboard box hanging ponderously in the air for a moment before he catches himself and picks it back up, disappearing for half a second and back again without the box of magic supplies.

"Oh, no problem. I like making presents. And it hardly costs me anything to make, not with all the supplies I get here. Even when I want other tools, I totally don't save up your stray feathers to buy them. Especially not that pair of adamanite scissors I saw in the market the other day..."

He looks left and right, making it obvious that he was 'lying' with the intention of it being obvious.

"I could teach you how to make clothes if it's something you're interested in. The nice stuff like this I use Mending magic to stick fabric back together along the edges. It takes a lot of practice to keep it from just turning back into the sheet you start with. But I can teach you how to do it the regular way too. Maybe you could show me some of your enchanting work in exchange. I've been looking deeper into it now that I have supplies and I'm in one place for more than a couple days."

He moves a couple tools over and takes a seat on a work bench. "So, you were involved in the champion thing last week? I still feel bad about not being able to help. It was like my first day on the job and I'm in the infirmary for the big thing going down."

"I got rezzed specifically for the Champion thing last week. And then got allowed to stay since I picked the right side. It's been...weird. I mean, this is where I came from, but when I sent Ephebe back here after the time demon thing....I mean, I was dead. I didn't think I was coming back, you know? So now I am back and everyone keeps thinking I'm her and it's....complicated. Extra complicated since I was kinda possessing her as a ghost for a while after I brought her here, so it's an understandable kind of confusion, but then I moved on, went to the afterlife, which was highly boring honestly, I do not recommend, and everyone else moved on without me. So yeah. That happened."

"Anyhow, on to more cheerful subjects that don't involve me whining," she said with an overly bright smile. "Most of my sewing skills involve sewing sequins on things. So many sequins. And I kind of specialize in extradimensional pockets. Like handy haversack type pockets. Used to just do extradimensional space, but when you're using them to store ammo, you really need to be able to get at what you want right away. Don't want to hit someone with Slow when you meant to use a Cure Serious, or vice versa, you know? Oh, and indestructible toe shoes. Because breaking in toe shoes absolutely sucks. Anything to avoid that much foot pain again. Pretty sure you can use that same type of enchantment on any type of shoes, but I've never needed to on anything but dance shoes. And I'd love to learn how to sew properly. That is a cool trick with the mending. I don't think I've ever seen anyone else do that."
"Also I tend to talk a lot and usually too fast, so uh, sorry about that," she finished sheepishly.

As they approach the building (factory two), Ghalen can hear a metallic skittering sound coming from inside. The lights are out, but there is the sound of equipment moving in the dark as well.

"Yes, at first. If that doesn't turn up any leads... we might have to petition the Courts themselves for help. Not something I'm particularly wanting to do, mind you. I've already dealt with them once in this lifetime."

The equipment appears to be running to assemble a shuttle. He doesn't get a clear view of what's inside, but he catches a few glimpses of small insect like things here and there.

He looks back to Andromeda, adjusting his bracelets on one wrist. "That does sound like it would be an issue. Have you considered dying your hair? I think it's fun. You can look however you want and be different from everyone else."

He smiles as he runs a paw through the teal, lavender and royal blue streaks at the front of his David Tennant-esque haircut.

"I'm not usually one for sequins. They kinda get everywhere. I prefer shimmer fabric or light enchantment. But I could actually use some extra dimensional space help. If Lyn doesn't have any objections... Again, sorry about this. My memory of what my characters were doing before I left was super fuzzy, so I made many mistakes.

The young elf who was slowly shrinking into the shadows pipes up for the first time in the conversation. "Adon's anti-magical field has gotten a significant boost in power ever since he made a pact with one Sir Alonne. The library is powerful magic, but I am uncertain if it can hold up against the redoubled force of Adon's power."

As their shuttle touches down near Jeran and Etain's location at the outskirts of Kuros, the rear loading ramp descends and Fei steps out to scan the surrounding area for the others.

Due to the risk of running across the recent refugee arrivals here, his nanosuit has reverted to its more mundane gi 'form' so as to not draw any undue attention or alarm.

"No, I never even considered dying my hair. Something to think about. Maybe just a streak or two. Just not purple. Then I'd look like Grandma."

She shrugged. "Sequins are kind of a necessity for dance. Not sure why. Mostly tradition. I do occasionally resort to glitter paint instead. But nothing sparkles under the spotlights quite like sequins. And you get used to living in a perpetual glitter storm after a while. Plus it helped keep my brothers out of my closet. Well, I mean not always, you have lots of siblings, you know how it is. But it cut down on the amount of closet involving pranks I had to put up with."
"That does sound...uncomfortable. So yeah, I can definitely show you how to make handy pockets. Whenever. My schedule isn't exactly full these days. I'm still getting settled in, trying to catch up on all the stuff I missed while I was dead. It was apparently a very busy year."

"Repair. Definitely repair. It's not that hard to work a constant mending effect into the shoes anyways. I tried it the other way, but it completely wrecks the texture of the shoe. Trust me, they're not supposed to be that slippery. Thankfully I just broke my leg and not the mirror. That would have been a disaster. It's a lot easier to fix a shattered leg than a shattered mirror."

"Pfft. Shows what you know. Those mirrors are huge. Like wall size. We're talking multiple castings of Make Whole and pray nobody finds out before you've got it all cleaned up. As long as it's not a compound fracture, you can totally take care of a broken leg with a Cure Crit. A heal if it's a really bad break. And if you think I'm worried about pain, you don't know much about ballet. It does a real number on the feet. I usually need healing spells after practice. That's just normal."

"Oh I know what you mean. I've been here like two weeks and I already feel like I've done more stuff than apparently nine years of planet hopping. But a good deal of that was cryo sleep and extended speed travel, so it only felt like two or three. Plus I haven't really aged too much in the five or six years I've experienced normally since, well, this." He pokes a temperature gauge and it falls quickly past the bottom line on the dial.
"Long story short, I both totally understand missing stuff and that a lot goes on here."

He laughs quietly when Dave gets all chivalrous on him. "I'll remember to use you as a shield in PE, then."

He grins at Dave while shooting him center mass with a tiny frost bolt.

He looks back to Andromeda, glancing at her face before reaching into one of Dave's tool boxes and producing some color swatches of fabric, holding them up between his eyes and Andromeda.
"I think you'd look good with green or gold. Gold would just look like a blonde streak though. Maybe like silver... nah, the sheen wpuld fade and just look like you're going grey. A gradient of red to yellow could be cool. Hot pink maybe. I dunno, there's lots of colors."

He tosses the bundle behind him and into a garbage bin, but the same flash of light he'd had when he pulled it out occurs and it's not in there if it's checked.

Not the one I'm thinking off. :p
