Not sure if Cindra was there for that part of the conversation, but Morrivan already said that Raelle wasn't inside. The arrows would also quickly reveal this information if she uses them. Basically just looking for a general perception check for a flyover of the grounds. Igni already posted his. I'm just waiting for Cindra and Lucas to post theirs.

I don't know if she was or not either, but I for sure forgot about it...

Cindra quickly discovers that Raelle is not in the library, she begins choosing areas at random to search.

Once inside the cloud, the mist takes shape into Ginni's form. Well, mostly like Ginni, but much, much more sexualized, her skirt just a bit too short and cleavage on display. That and the large bat wings, the claws, the sharpened teeth, and the tiny horns...This Ginni is obviously a succubus. "Why are you interfering?" Demon-Ginni pouts. "She's had her time. She's not needed anymore."

Whatever else she was going to say is interrupted by what from in here feels like an earthquake as the connection between Ginni and Repp is abruptly severed.

In the room

The sapphire in Phaezeriel's hand darkens considerably as the psychic trauma of the severed connection riles Ginni's emotions. His physical body reaches out toward Tamina, and his other mind speaks to her sounding .. younger somewhow, ::Tamina, the next sapphire, bring it to me.:: He hands her a completely black sapphire in return, its feel somehow oily and unpleasant.

He begins to direct Tamina in laying a pattern of blue and red stones around Ginni's body, a few green ones mixed in seemingly at random.

In Ginni's mind

The blue star in Ginni's hand dims almost to the point of going out before it brightens to its full strength once more.

Phaezeriel is shaken from his feet as the pillar that is Repp shatters and tumbles down; he spares no thought for trying to keep his footing. Taking advantage of the distraction and disruption to Ginni's mind, and his very intimate knowledge of it, he exerts his will to push the red clouds back past where he now lies on the ground and to erect a buffer between Ginni and her personal demon.

It is not a wall, and it cannot stop the demon, but it will cause the demon to expend a considerable amount of energy to bypass, allowing Ginni to deal with a diluted demon's will rather than the succubus at full strength.

"What has you stuck here? And are you allowed to eat stuff?"

Instead of answering verbally, he just sets the boxes on the cot next to him as he sits at the end of it, opening them up to show expertly placed sushi rolls all through one and the other full of an array of brightly colored Popsicles.

"Well... Um... I got into a fight. With another firebird." He mumbles. "He found out I'm a firebird and called me a.. a burnout. It's a bad word for firebirds without any fire related magic. Then he started making fun of me even more and I tried encasing him in ice..."

I know it doesn't feel like it, but at least we didn't do anything that would make Kitty unhappy or worried to hear about. And you know what she's like. She would hear about it. I wanted him to suffer too, but at least now he won't hurt anyone else."

"And he would have deserved it, but I'm pretty sure that wouldn't have done anything good to Ginni," he said quietly.

"Well done, young one." he says to Alys. He looks at the corpse, then back up to Michael and Ace and Keme.
"What do you three intend, here?"

Alys looks over at the creepy black kobold, suddenly registering that he was speaking to her. She makes a small curtsy before turning her attention back to the girl.

She holds her hand out to the girl and speaks, the words unintelligible, but the gesture and the intent clear; she is offering to help the girl return to the school.

"Yeah, that sounds like a good idea," the half-elf girl agreed with a shudder as she saw the corpse of the gnome on the ground. Between that and the smell of blood all over her clothes...she was in serious danger of vomiting all over and she didn't think that her still very sore throat would be okay with that.

Okay, Igni failed the DC, but Lucas and Cindra both made it so I'm just going to roll randomly to see which of them was looking in the right spot. 1 = Cindra, 2 = Lucas.
1d2 ⇒ 2

As he's flying along the border of the school grounds, Lucas spots a flash of red. Flying lower he spots a red scarf on the ground just outside the wards. There are broken branches on the undergrowth in this area and several large gouges in the dirt. Signs of a struggle most likely.

Alys quietly mutters another couple of words, their sound shiver across the minds of the others. Alys is not speaking directly to Talysmyn, rather it seems like she is talking to Talysmyn's .. clothing? Then it becomes clear as the traumatized girl's clothing begins to become clean; blood drying and flaking away leaving not even a stain.

As the blood goes away, another series of muttered words sets the knife holes in Talysmyn's shirt to knitting themselves back together.

Alys smiles at Talysmyn and helps her slowly to her feet. Once she is steady, Alys begins to lead her back to the school, one arm around her shoulders.

Ginni's Mind

The red mist tries to fight back, but it isn't as strong without all of the hate and fear and loathing coming from Repp. For now it is contained, but it is already searching for places to seep through.

Meanwhile, Ginni seems to be stronger. She is still sitting between the two pillars clutching the star close, but she is no longer curled up so tightly. She no longer looks like she's already been defeated. But Phaeze knows that she has a long fight ahead of her still. This won't be easy.

Aw man, I thought Ace's method of disposal was fitting.

Before the girls head back to the school, Ace asks them to wait, just a sec. He casts a minor spell Prestidigitation that makes Talysmyn's clothes smell like a cool spring breeze General, pleasant scent, vs blood. Wasn't sure if the removal of the blood via Alys was enough to remove its stench.

He then looks to Keme, Michael and Krays "If you three don't need me, I'm going back to my girlfriend"

He then teleports to just outside her room(or as close as he's allowed to get) and knocks on the door. Unsure if the isolation will allow him in or not

"Very well." With a wave of his hand, the flesh falls away and burns off of the corpse into nothing as the body rises, leaving only a clean skeleton. "Follow me", he says and the skeleton does just that. After taking a few steps, he turns to Michael. "I'm sorry if you feel robbed of your vengeance, Michael. Please know that the pain that is happening to him now is far worse, and is nigh eternal, and he will be aware of every second that passes while his soul exists. I don't know if this will give you peace, but there is no hope for Repp, only eternal anguish." at the sound of his name, a small wail escapes from the staff. Krays simply smiles. Then he turns and walks the skeleton to the graveyard, and inters it in an unmarked grave.

After studying it for a while he turns and walks back to Ginni, ::She is held back for now; the loss of the negative emotions caused by Repp's death has weakened her. But you cannot stop this change. Ginni, you must embrace the fact that you are, at least in part, a demon. But you can still be yourself as well. Training Montage!

Ginni paced back and forth for a while, basically arguing with herself, before she walked out across the landscape straight towards the mist. Her expression was determined. And a little terrified. Okay a lot terrified.
When Ginni get close to the mist, the parts that have managed to seep out through the cracks coalesce into the version of Ginni that Phaeze saw in the mist before.
"Oh, hell no!" Ginni said, horrified. "I may not be able to help being a demon, but that outfit is NOT happening!" This reaction so startled her demon side that she forgot to fight back when Ginni reached out and grabbed her wrist. She dissolved into mist again, but the mist had changed color now. It was silver.

The next attack was more subtle, although she couldn't help but notice that demon her was wearing a classier outfit now. It hit her right in the jealousy next. And she had plenty of that. She'd always been jealous of people who had families. It was the only thing she'd ever wanted and the one thing she apparently couldn't have. "Okay, I get it," she snapped, frustrated. "I don't get to have everything I want. So? It's not like you're offering anything better." The demon didn't have a good answer for that one and this one also dissolved into silver mist, but it was close.

She lost count after that. It was a long, long parade of every doubt and insecurity she'd ever had. Every nasty thought, every possible perceived evil. Except...well, it was kind of...shallow. I mean, yeah these were negative aspects of herself, but...was this really all that the demon had to work with? No, it was probably holding the big guns for last. This was just the warm up act to wear her down. And to some extent it was working. Every time she faced down a piece of her demonic essence it took effort. It might be making her stronger, but it was also making her tired.

The latest one formed up. They were starting to look downright sophisticated now. Still sexy, but not slutty. "What are you holding out for anyhow?" Demon-Ginni taunted. "Love? Love is a joke. All it ever brings is pain. Are you going to try to contradict me? That boy...I know he hurt you." Ginni put her hands on her hips, totally fed up with this one. "Seriously? That's where you're going with this? Yeah, he did hurt me. So what? Do I look like the kind of girl who is just going to lay down and die because the boy I like isn't as perfect as I wanted him to be? Just no. This isn't even worth my time," she said as the latest demon vanished into silver mist.

Ginni sagged, breathing heavily. She wasn't sure she could keep this up. She eyed the barrier still....ugh.....still full of red mist. And the barrier was getting weaker.
"Phaezeriel? I don't know if I can keep this up," she said nervously.

Knocks on the Headmaster's door again, in case he hadn't heard the first time.

The Headmaster looks up a little startled and pushes a letter to the side before opening the door.

"I'm sorry if you were waiting long. I was distracted."

"Well, that I can help with," he said, using prestidigitation to clean Michael's clothes. "But the rips you're going to have to figure out how to deal with yourself."

"That I can handle. I got into the habit of keeping spare clothes in my locker. My years at Avalon were not kind until recently. Well, before all this, anyway. It was nice until this."

Nala's expression softened. "When you say it I can almost believe that it really is possible." I didn't used to think I was capable of love, but turns out I was wrong." She took a deep breath as the enormity of her decision weighed on her. "I'm going to do it," she blurted out. "I'm going to die. And not in the creepy suicide pact kind of way that came out sounding like," she added, suddenly feeling very self-conscious. "It's okay, Headmaster. Umm, it's just that Adon has had some disturbing news. I should probably let him explain. But he needs your help."

"Of course I'll help. You may stay if you'd like. Having a friend nearby may help as well."

"Phaezeriel. He'd need to supervise of course. To make sure that the whole thing actually works. I can talk to him in the morning. I'm on duty again of course. No such things as days off for Healers," she said with a shrug. "So I should see him at the infirmary. But I can send him a message just to be sure. He gets called away for emergencies fairly often. If there's one thing that this school needs more of, it's psychic healers."
