Monk/1, AC16, HP 9/9

Gabriel will move forwards 20' and take a swing at the wizard?

strike: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9

Monk/1, AC16, HP 9/9

sorry I didn't realize it was water. Replace my previous action with...

Gabriel will move forward 20' and throw another vial of alchemist fire at the cowled figure
alchemist fire : 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6

Monk/1, AC16, HP 9/9

Gabriel will charge attack the cowled figure (provokes an AoO from one Lump)

strike: 1d20 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 3 + 2 = 7

1d20 ⇒ 5

Monk/1, AC16, HP 9/9

Where do you want to move to? One of us can move your icon.

Monk/1, AC16, HP 9/9

Gabriel will move forward 20' throw a flask of Alchemist fire at Lump #2 (directly south of him)

Alchemist fire: 1d20 + 3 - 4 ⇒ (8) + 3 - 4 = 7

Monk/1, AC16, HP 9/9

initiative: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 2 = 16

Monk/1, AC16, HP 9/9

"Just the four then? Or do we get more than two Lumps in our tea?"

Monk/1, AC16, HP 9/9

"What? This is the rat man? Hmmm... somehow I was expecting a pointed nose. Or whiskers. If you all don't mind I'd rather he were with us than against us. Especially if it means not getting eaten by rats again. I'm self centered like that."

Monk/1, AC16, HP 9/9
The Random DM wrote:
A familiar halfling leans against the blue door, pipes in hand and begins walking towards you holding his hands above his head grinning.

Someone else better take this one. Gabriel never saw the Halfling.

Monk/1, AC16, HP 9/9

"That would be convenient for both of us, eh?" Gabriel shrugs,"We may as well. I'm not sure we could afford to buy off these little entrepreneurs."

Monk/1, AC16, HP 9/9

Gabriel chuckles "And how are we to know what your information is worth? Tell you what, you provide a piece of information and we'll pay you what we think it's worth. If you like the price you can provide us with another, you don't like the price and you don't tell us anything else. Sound fair?"

1d20 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 1 = 16

Monk/1, AC16, HP 9/9

Gabriel chuckles, "We have more than that if you have something worth knowing. So what do you know?"

Monk/1, AC16, HP 9/9

"You have a lovely suspicious mind miss. It never crossed my mind that they might be working for someone. Ask them if they know anything about this Aspis Consortium or the Bronze Bowl." Gabriel will pass Chandra the 9cp he has on him.

Monk/1, AC16, HP 9/9

"Well, that's that then. Unless anyone else has a question we should head over to this Bronze Bowl. Thank you sir and good day to you."

Monk/1, AC16, HP 9/9

"Perhaps you know some of his acquaintances? If we do find your son... is there anything we can do? A message we can pass on?"

Monk/1, AC16, HP 9/9

"I'm terribly sorry to hear that sir. A rift between father and son is a terrible thing. What is this Aspis Consortium that came between you and your boy?"

Monk/1, AC16, HP 9/9

Sorry I haven't participated more but Gabriel isn't the best at diplomacy...

"Actually good sir, we were trying to get in touch with your son. Could you get us in touch with him?"

Monk/1, AC16, HP 9/9

Gabriel carefully follows the others. Doing his best to make sure he leave no impression of any kind.
"Great, I am conscious again!"

plagiarism, my very favorite 'isim' :-)

Monk/1, AC16, HP 9/9

Knowledge Local: 1d20 ⇒ 11

Monk/1, AC16, HP 9/9

"I think we are all in agreement then. I don't want to betray their trust in us either. Shall we tell Jacq of our decision?"

Monk/1, AC16, HP 9/9

"Terse, ain't she." Gabriel says, reading the note. "Well, let's be off then, though we should watch our step. We'll probably be attacked on the way out."

Monk/1, AC16, HP 9/9

"Which suppliers? To find out who's responsible we may have to chase the gossip."

Monk/1, AC16, HP 9/9

Gabriel will also pick up a potion of cure light wounds and two flasks of alchemist fire.

Monk/1, AC16, HP 9/9

"Well thank you miss!" Gabriel will exclaim in delight. "I've wanted one of these ever since I first saw one."

Monk/1, AC16, HP 9/9

Very cool. I hope you don't think that was me whining. It was just Gabriel feeling sorry for himself :-)

I was just going to take a couple of expensive looking things and sell them later.

Monk/1, AC16, HP 9/9

"Armor and weapons. I don't suppose you have anything for a monk eh? Although I must admit, after being vigorously beaten and then eaten by rats, I'm seriously reconsidering my chosen vocation."

Monk/1, AC16, HP 9/9

Gabriel makes a free action groan.

Monk/1, AC16, HP 9/9

Hey what about Gabriel? I had a really inspirational groan scheduled! :-)

Monk/1, AC16, HP 9/9

stabilize: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (20) + 3 = 23

feeling very stable while being eaten alive by rats :-)

Monk/1, AC16, HP 9/9

stabalize: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 1 = 11

Monk/1, AC16, HP 9/9

"Ahhggg." Gabriel falls, a flask of oil with an unlit wick falling from his outstretched hand.

Monk/1, AC16, HP 9/9

Gabriel withdraws 20' trying to knock the biting rats off himself.

Monk/1, AC16, HP 9/9

fort (distraction): 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6
fort (disease): 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10

"Don't worry about me. I'm only mostly dead!"

Monk/1, AC16, HP 9/9

"Rat swarms!" He'll pull a flask of oil from his pack and fix it with a wick.

Monk/1, AC16, HP 9/9

perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (5) + 8 = 13

Gabriel will follow along, peering about curiously, Fascinating...I haven't been to this part of town before."

Monk/1, AC16, HP 9/9

"I'm a bit confused. What exactly did we agree to?"

Monk/1, AC16, HP 9/9

Always a good idea...

Monk/1, AC16, HP 9/9

<wince> sorry again. I didn't read the Dwarven spoilers until after I'd posted. Next time just let me know and I'll back off.

Monk/1, AC16, HP 9/9

Sorry if I'm messing you up Kibur. You were speaking in dwarven so my character didn't know what yours was saying :-(

Monk/1, AC16, HP 9/9

"We were hired by Jacqueline Bright at Jacq's Hire House to investigate the death of the dwarf Ambassador from Highhelm. The Token Guard couldn't get into his forge where the body is because of some little magical constructs. Apparently the Dwarven Merchants Guild are prepared to pay for justice. We were supposed to find out what happened and kill or capture whoever did it."

Monk/1, AC16, HP 9/9

You don't need to speak dwarven to figure out what he just said.

Gabriel will hold up his hands placating, "Easy now. We didn't do this to the poor lad, in fact we were sent to investigate the crime. I don't suppose you speak common do you?"

Monk/1, AC16, HP 9/9

"Speaking of 'stuck here' can someone give me a boost?" Gabriel will start prising his throwing stars out of the walls and ceiling.

Monk/1, AC16, HP 9/9

"Sure." Gabriel replies absently while pondering the workbench.

Monk/1, AC16, HP 9/9

Loot for the magic types, not the monk :-)
So the impression in the bench, was that a design feature to hold the hammer or does it look like an impact mark? Like someone took a swing and missed? It seems odd either way. I don't know why someone would want a hole in their bench just to hold their hammer, and I don't understand why if someone took a swing at him and missed the dwarf didn't at least turn around. We did find him slumped face down on the bench with a dent in the back of his head right? Maybe I'm just visualizing the scene badly.

Monk/1, AC16, HP 9/9

"Is it a war hammer that's missing, or a hammer from the forge?"

Monk/1, AC16, HP 9/9

"Hmmm... it's not likely those little homunculus caved in the mans skull."

searching...
perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (5) + 8 = 13

Monk/1, AC16, HP 9/9

"Was that the last of them?"

Monk/1, AC16, HP 9/9

Sorry, I was running out of ways to say 'damn it, I missed' :-)

Gabriel's eyes narrow timing the tiny creature buzzing about his head. Suddenly his hand flashes out, knocking it out of the air.
