I’ve been away from PFS for a while. I have a level 2.0 2nd edition character ready to change build before going into lvl 2. So, I’m looking for a fun strong caster build but not sure what’s the best options out there. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks. I’m intrigued by new method of race boon combinations. If it unlocks a boon similar in rarity as some of the charity races (may be year or so removed), it would at least allow for some to come back into play.
Perhaps goblins can finally come back. I would love to sacrifice boons to be able to play one. (Not joking. Love these little green guys!)

I hope everyone enjoyed the con. It was great to meet some new people and see old friends. Looking forward to next year's events. (Hopefully my fellow roommates got back to Washington State without a problem...and no cars were towed!)

Thanks Chris. Yes, the intent of this thread is to focus on the victims and their family/friends. There are political implications but they should be in a different thread.
Im always amazed to see communities come together after a tragedy. Still in my thoughts and prayers.

Another cowardly attack, this time targeting kids and young adults in the U.K. I wanted to speak out against these despicable attacks and extend all that I can to those impacted by these senseless actions. To the extent possible in a message board, I wanted to let y'all know that I stand with you!

Probably wasn't a responsible pet owner. :) ** spoiler omitted ** Let's be clear, that situation doesn't negate Professor being about as terrible a pet owner as you can get in a PFS character.
(He got rebuilt after that lv 1 session, by the way, due to me not wanting to give GMs the headache of scorpion whips. So he's been sitting as a grandfathered tiefling character for the past 4-5 years. I may break him out at the Con if I find myself scheduled at a low-level table. :P) My meatlocker of tieflings and aasimars salute this :)

I very rarely run them. High risk and no reward for players. Very little, if any, plot impact. I would love to see special items/boons tied to them on the chronical sheet. But as they stand, I skip. I think just about every gm I know skips them as well.

As I Catholic, I pray. As a scientist, I dont expect God to do all the work so I do what I can on an individual level but donating time, energy, money and compassion. This is definitely not getting the media coverage it deserves and I thank everyone that helps my fellow Gamers from Louisiana.

Death toll increased to 7. Flood waters continue to rise. I know with the Milwaukee situation this isn't getting sufficient coverage in the National media. If you can, reach out to charities like United Way and Red Cross.

Please pray for our fellow gamers in Southern Louisiana area (particularly around the Baton Rouge/Livingston/Denham Springs area). The area has been hit with significant flooding. At least 3 deaths are attributed to the flooding. I'm not sure how much it has hit national news but the footage I've seen, it's pretty bad.

I guess outing myself intentionally here is probably prudent, I was helping run the Character Creation Station with LWD & Hero Lab for the room along with a team of crack experts. It's been on hell of a ride these last 6 years and I'm more pleased than ever to get to know and work with all of you Society GMs, HQ and Helpdesk staff, PF Academy workers, and pretty much everyone else I know I missed a few.
To the players in particular, I want to thank for all being so polite and patient, especially with very little sleep and a dozen people standing in line in front of you so you can get you game "rolling." I hope I was able to get your brand new PC's to the table in time for all your games.
Special Mentions to Tonya and Bobby for making us feel more welcome than ever, I hope you all get caught up on some much needed rest and refresh before the next show in a few weeks.
Thank you for the help in making my rogue which i promptly got killed In the consortium compact but i need to go buy hero lab.
Thanks for y'all's support appreciate y'all's effort. I observed it time to time as I was running around in an orange shirt.
Edit: forgive lack of full sentences. Just got home after 13 hour drive. Thanks Delta!

Sense motive comes in if the creature is trying to bluff being more injured than it actually is (setting up a trap) or pretending to not be badly injured (hiding their wounds).

The reading of the original item allowed you to use charges for metas instead of increasing the spells level. The caster still had to have the feat but it wouldn't take up higher spell slot

BigNorseWolf wrote: Quote: kay, I guess I mischaracterized your argument here. What you're really saying is that stealth is unusable by anyone, ever, because you're going to get auto-spotted. Unless you're not, in which case you have to admit that a +10 modifier (equivalent to a 250 gp elixir) has considerable value. You have two arguments running here. 1) is that its too good for everyone by so much that we should ban it and 2 That its too good for some builds
It is not worth the same as the elixir because the elixir does not stick you in bird form. You have to discount the trouble with the WAY you get the plus with the plus. You can't talk, you can't cast spells, you can't disable device, you can't wear armor , you can't wear weapons, most of your magic items shut off.
Now for a VERY small amount of characters, those restrictions violate the champion systems rules of "an disadvantage that isn't a disadvantage for you isn't a disadvantage", but you can't just look at those people. For the vast number of people this things benefits come with a signifigant cost. I believe those costs take the ring from "so good we should ban it" to "too good but not worth banning". Casters can sidestep these encounters anyway, and by the time a martial has 4k to spare getting the ring is just getting in on their action.
The second argument is that its too good for a specific build. For that to be true it doesn't matter one bit what % it increases the things damage by. The only thing that matters is that the end result isn't any crazier than the rest of the party. Doubling harsk's crossbow damage is not the same as doubling Amiri's Bastard sword damage. If you keep saying we need to judge it based on the percentage increase, I'm discounting your conclusion because your argument is looking at the wrong thing and is a complete non argument. Is the resulting build around this item more broken than the rest of the system? No. Is it more broken than the other things in the same niche? no.
/agree. Keep it in.
