Skip power attack till level 3 or 5, unless you have a compelling reason to do otherwise.

Why: at level 1, 1d12+6 is plenty to murder most threats, and the 1d12+9 that comes from your rage is enough to two shot most bosses on bad rolls. Hitting the target is much more important than adding more damage, therefore. Power attack has you lower your to hit for damage that is likely to overkill most enemies.

Consider instead a means by which to shore up your weaknesses: Will saves, skills, or both.

You've selected Fate's Favored. Thematic or did you have a plan to benefit from it?
You seem to have neglected Perception, the most used and most important skill in the game.

Selected Fates Favor for level 4 when get luck bonus to saves and ac. Figured this would basically act like trait that gives +1 to will saves but adds more to it. Probably will not encounter too many will or suck saves in first three levels.

To answer avr, looking for advice on the build. Guess second question would be alternatives to this build for suli race build or alternative race to use for bloodrager.

Nagaji make good bloodragers, with bonuses to STR and CHA same as Suli.

Bloodline choice is important for a bloodrager. I think Abyssal, Arcane and Aberrant stand out, but go with what floats your boat. (Abyssal gives enlarge, Arcane gives very strong free buff spells in bloodrage, and Aberrant gives increased reach).


Thanks. I had forgotten about Nagaji. Somewhat ironic to have a cold blooded person be a Bloodrager (hot blooded). The Destined bloodline was more for fluff as it works thematically with fates favor. Not locked in on that though.

Instead of taking power attack you could take additional traits to get two extra traits. Make sure your character is from Andoran and take Freed Slave for a +1 trait bonus to will saves, and Unscathed to increase your energy resistances to 7 instead of 5.


Good recommendations Stranger. Another race option would be to take a meat lockered tiefling or aasimar off the shelf.


One interesting Bloodrager build concept would be to go Blood Conduit, as well as Primalist (or a Bloodline granting claws):

Blood Conduit - free Improved Unarmed Strike, may cast a spell as a swift action after making an unarmed strike.

Primalist - switch out a power (level 8?) for Lesser Beast Totem claws and another Rage Power (Beast Totem AC?).

Then take just basic Two-Weapon Fighting, Rime spell, and Magical Lineage: Frostbite, and use a Furious one-handed weapon and a Furious Bodywrap of Mighty Striking.

Your full attacks are made with a weapon in one hand, plus one Dragon Style unarmed strike and one claw attack that are both buffed with Frostbite (which you can load-up with a swift action after any unarmed strike). Single attacks can be either with a Dragon Style Frostbite strike or a weapon in two hands.

Ok. I'm thinking of this revised Suli build. I dropped power attack for additional traits. Picked up Unscathed and erutaki sky reader (crown of the world). With Fates Favored I get +3 to will save once/day. Nice synergy with fates and destined bloodline. Thoughts?
