We were teased with the possibility of the five primal dragons getting two other members in their family. A metallic dragon, with a radiation breath weapon, as well as a wood dragon, with a breath weapon that can make plants grow. Those would surely be awesome, I suppose.

The only demigod level creature we have seen so far are Mogaru and the High Priest of Kabriri, both of which received special statblocks, as if they were untouchable. Kortash statblock basically says "behave yourself or die", as he is a High Priest. Mogaru is represented by a collection of hazards caused by him being around, as he is beyond gargantuan in size.

PF2 has yet to stat anything above level 25. Even level 25 creatures are something rare in PF2, so much that the Lantern King's avatar is a level 24 foe. And we are talking about the avatar of an Eldest.

The helmet isn't conical at all, it's just the angle of the illustration. Above the helmet is the mountain's peak, while the helmet itself has a frontal protuberance.
Only one thing... At least a page for each of the eight elemental lords, with art for all of them. It was a shame for Planes of Power (the 1E book about the elemental planes) to not cover the Lords with more than some mentions, and with not art at all. I hope Paizo doesn't lose this opportunity again. And of course, if there are new elemental planes, maybe there are new elemental lords. Although I'm imagining the two new planes as something minor, not as relevant as the main ones.

I'm surprised to see Lady of the Fangwood here, as well as a Vudrani goddess. Can't wait to see how they relate to the knights cause. It would be awesome if we got an illustration for each of these divinities that never got one.
There's technically a new god among the divinities of the Inner Sea that ascended during our age, the Age of Lost Omens. The Iron Goddess, Casandalee. The adventurers of Numeria actually helped her ascend, right? Yet I suppose she isn't one of the "Ascended", as she didn't went through the Test of the Star Stone... I'm to attached to her, as the Iron Gods AP is one of my favorites.

I'm happy to see that a lot of the playable races are going to be covered in bestiary 3. I'm also happy to see long favorites like clockworkks, imperial dragons, kami and the agathions. Even the Green Man is here. A good surprise for me was the Siktempora, with a good number of emotions. I'm eager to see their artwork.
Rysky wrote: Wait, Wyvaran come from Kobolds, so if we got them back in P2 we would have giant plushies. Indeed, wyvaran are half kobolds and half wyverns, and truly dragons. Perhaps, now that kobolds are more draconic in appearance and that wyverns are drakes, we could have wyvaran of all sorts of drake families. I wasn't happy with how much wyvaran resembled the old kobolds from dnd, those akin to mammals instead of dragons. They have dog like snouts, and thats not draconic at all... 😅 But if they looked more like the new kobolds, I would be pleased with them. Specially if they also had heritages based on true dragons or drakes, as I said before.

Thanks for sharing! I must say that I'm really happy to see many lf my favorite npcs confirmed - specifically Azaersi, Choral and Jakalyn. Yet, I can't deny that I'm surprised by the absence of many famous npcs of the setting. From the confirmed list, this are the ones I know close to nothing (or nothing at all) about: Anong Arunak
I'm surprised to not see the following names in the book, although this could also lead to future products in the same format including them. Kazavon

Archons are a "secondary" neutral good one, in the same way divs are "secondary" to devils, or qlippoth are "secondary" to demons. I suppose the "Archons" was meant to be Agathions, right? They are the secondary NG celestials, and the Archons are the main LG celestials.

Can't wait for subscribers to unveil the complete list of Legends in the book, yet here's the final list of legends until now. I hope to see some previews filled with cool pictures of our favorite npcs! Confirmed Legends List: - Old-Mage Jatembe
Come my Undine, come to me! It would be awesome if among those ancestries or versatile heritages, there was a playable dragon. I love kobolds, and the way they are more draconic in 2E surely pleased me, but they aren't dragons. It's one of my dreams to finally see Paizo's approach into something more akin to the dragonborns - an ancestry of humanoid dragons closely related to the true ones. From now, alongside the geniekin and more informations of the other planar scions, the Sprite is my favorite inclusion in the book.
Updating the list of confirmed legends. Two of my favorite characters from the setting were confirmed! *w* Confirmed Legends List:
- Old-Mage Jatembe
The last five legends are at least unknown to me or yet to be named. Could anyone share something about Shimali or the Sapphire Butterfly? Thinking about possible legends included in the book, I can't remember a gnome of great importance to the setting. We have a dwarf king and an elven queen, and there are also the halflings from Bellflower and the Orc chieftains from Belkzen or Belkzen himself... But what about the gnomes?
Thought it would be interesting to have a list of already confirmed legends included in the book. - Old-Mage Jatembe
I would also love to see the likes of Azaersi, Baba Yaga, the Black Triune, Kevoth-Kul, Blood Mistress Jakalyn, or the Elven Queen. Yet, my greatest hope is to see non humanoid NPCs included, like Mengkare, Treerazer, or even Kazavon. I'm sad that the Gorilla King is no more, for he was one of my favorite NPCs.

Well, that's how Paizo has been writing their books since... Since the very first bestiary. You seem to be new to Pathfinder, but their bestiaries favor stats over lore, and old pathfinders like myself are actually surprised by the huge amount of lore in the book. We even get those juice lore sidebars!

To me, pathfinder's appeal has always been the good amount of options we had to create our characters, our campaigns, our settings... I think that's the actual reason many people here are still supporting Paizo and Pathfinder even after the edition change, for they haven't forgotten how we love to have lots of options to create unique games.
I would love to see more of Ekaterina Burmak in a bestiary, specifically, I woul love to see her take on the asura and the agathion. Her art is actually my favorite.
VestOfHolding wrote: I'm very intrigued to see one of my more burning questions partially answered in the preview. I've been very curious how Paizo planned to handle the subraces from 1e. Looks like the answer lies in those 1st level ancestry feats with the new "lineage" trait, though no other information on the trait itself. Very interesting, though now I'm more curious than ever to see the full answer. That was indeed the first thing I looked for, and it seems like a good way to handle them. A Level 1 feat that can't be retrained, defining their lineage. That leaves space for new feats in the future featuring new lineages and entire feat chains linked to them.
I really liked the fact that the same artist was chosen to illustrate the true dragons. Not only because I really love Miguel Regodón, but also because of the feel of continuity. Although they are all dragons from different kinds and families, you can actually recognize them as true dragons by the art style alone. Miguel Regodón made a awesome job in 1E, and I hope to continue seeing his amazing work in 2E. I can't deny wanting to see his take into the imperial or the planar dragons as well.
Pazuzu is among the demon lords ZVGVZB has comfortable relationship, and is said to be among the group of QLIPPOTH TURNED demon lords... PAZUZU WAS A QLIPPOTH? He is among the strongest demon lords, so that would make sense if it made him older than I thought, but I can't recall any other mention of his previous life as a qlippoth.
The witch feels to me as the "take whatever you want" spellcaster. I like how the sorcerer has a different tradition tied to his bloodline, and how all his powers are thematically related to them. But the witch has no limitations regarding her patron - at least not thematically tied in the rules. You can now say that Iomedae granted powers over undeads to a witch so that she could infiltrate a cult of necromancers... That's a good, yet odd opportunity to create strange agendas to once restricted entities of limitless power.

We have nearly 55 main fiend deities (demon lords, horsemen, archdevils and queens of the night) as well as 55 empyreal lords. It seems there won't be room for as many gods as there was in the Inner Sea Gods' tables. Going back to that book, there are more than 150 deities listed on the appendix, far more if we include the harbinger, infernal dukes and the nascent demon lords - excluding them there are nearly 155. I suppose we won't be seeing rules for demigods like demagogues, tormentors, ranas and immortals, as well as outer gods and great old ones, and the likes. They are minor entities to the main setting, I would say, so that's plausible.
Geb is a monstrously powerful character, and I would dare to say he is more powerful than The Tyrant himself. Geb is Nex rival, and Nex himself was powerful enough to bind demigods to his will (I suspect the shadow creature used in his siege against Absalom was not only related to an Eldest, but was actually the Eldest). The mortal people of Golarion are lucky that he - like Baba Yaga - is far more interested in their own agendas, for turning a demigoddess into an undead was just a "punishment" for insulting him, an act to discipline the "young" knights. I'm still hoping for a Setting Book covering Nex and Geb, finally fully illustrating Nex and Geb themselves.
If you have been following Pathfinder Friday on the twitch you will known that the book will cover the Core 20 gods of the setting and 20 other gods - specifically non evil ones - like Nocticula and Casandalee or Kazutal and Tsukiyo. The book will also cover some Pantheons - two if I'm not mistaken - and rules on how to worship them.
- The evil and the good elemental lords, since now all of them are mentioned to be free in the 2E Bestiary 1. - All the empyreal lords, presented in a way just like the main fiendish deities were presented in Book of the Damned. - Other draconic deities, like Shizuru, her brother and Nymbio, and their relationship to Apsu and Dahak.
