After tying up the prisoners and securing them Colberg moves through the camp looking for all of their supplies.

Looks like the big orc gots this intter'gation under control, suppose I'll go and look for something to keep us alive out here. A couple of these folks ain't go no clue to the cold, especially the priest. Probably gonna have to carry him back to town before this is done.

Listening with half an ear Colberg pipes in about how long they would survive. Calling from inside one of the tents, "If they lucky they can make it back ta the farm 'fore the midnight freeze sets... but Lady Fortune is a fickle mistress." In a normal voice he adds, "'Specially ta those missin' ears, I think."

I'm leaving on a camping trip tonight for a week. Supposedly there was internet up there but now apparently there isn't.

I'll try my best to post though. Sorry for the short notice, I just now heard about no internet. Hopefully that is wrong though.

"Hurry up priest we don't got all day. Can't be leaving you behind to get snacked on by the little fairies. Torag only knows if they'd look at you and we find you've broken in half."

After Kirridell crosses Colberg takes up the rear.

As as player I would say go with the rope bridge idea, since in order to swing we need to have the rope attached to a tree higher than the river is wide. then get to a point where we are also higher than the river is wide.
As a character, he will think every idea is bad since it deals with unsafe water. And would probably prefer to stay as close to the ground as possible.
Either way...

Prolly a witch's trick, no how it did it though, first time I seen anything like it. Old man you got any idea how it was doin that talking an stuff?"

Colberg replies gruffly to the taller elf without breaking his gaze at the stag. ”None as strange as this here fellow, though I met a few, but tis not a story fer now.”

Tryin ta throw me off yer trail, huh witch? I ain’t that dumb. No stag I know would stand idly candid with a big ole orc nearby. Colberg watches as the half-orc sidles towards the stage talking all mean like, Aye, yer gonna goof it ya big oaf, this ain’t no special animal, just a trick. Needs a more tact than that, can’t just be all intimidating like you can to smart folk.

Colberg moves to Jorgo, feet crunching through the snow, he puts his hand on the huge orcs elbow since he can’t quite reach his shoulder comfortably. Whispering under his breath, hopefully low enough for the “stag” not to hear, ”Sumthin’s fishy ‘bout this, let me see if I can handle this ‘fore you crack open an innocent deer’s head.”

Colberg steps in front of Jorgo before he can reply to the deer, hands away from his body, ”Ah got some funny jokes fer an animal, definitely the best one I’ve heard from yer kind. How ‘bout you just don’t mind the big ugly” Colberg tilts his head back indicating Jorgo, “and focus on the little ugly, me,” pointing at himself. ” We could use yer help right about now. What say you?” Colberg moves another step forward.

Well Colberg has no prejudice against magic, and he is extremely biased towards females as witches. Votun can cast spells fine around him as he'll see it as a wizard or sorcerer, but if he sees a hex then things will get really interesting (assuming he is actually paying attention at the time).

Also rolling for my Hex Nails for the campaign trait. 1d4 ⇒ 1

Well that kind of sucks. >_>

Colberg marches right to the front of the tavern without waiting for anyone to follow. He then heads south for a second before realizing he doesn't even know where Willowbark is. Stroking his beard he turns about a looks around and then heads back into the Silver Stoat and yells across the tavern, "EYY! Lets go, where is this Willowbark place anyway?"

If this short guy here knows his blades like he knows his brews, we shouldn’t have too much to worry about, even with winter monsters!

"Aye, winter monsters ain't a big deal, but witches, they can get ya even when yer lookin' straight attem. Need to be clever if ya wanna find and kill them." Colberg lifts his drink up as well to the half-orc and then takes a drink, his face go blank for a moment, then scrunches up in to a disgusted look. He sets his Three Devils Ale on the bar and a copper, leaving it alone for the rest of the night.

To Willowbark's then, the more information to be had, the better." COlberg quickly and crudely stuffs his map back into his bag and pulls out a rusted nail and puts it into his pocket.

As everyone was talking back and forth, Colberg was listening with an ear, but much more focused on the bag in front of him as he rummaged through it.
Damn, gotta keep this thing more organized, has ta be in here somewhere. Sounds like I came ta the right place after all, and mom said drawing yer own maps was useless.

"An' you little master? Anythin' ter drink or are yeh just gonna stand there takin' up my barspace?"

Colberg jumps a bit, startled at being addressed in the midst of his concentration, a scroll in his hand that has seen better days, "Huh! Aye, sure, just grabbin me map out real quick." He puts the scroll on the bar and starts to unroll/unfold in. "Ya got any Gunderbal Special Reserve down here? Or even some Irrisen Mulled Ale?"

The map is a very VERY rough sketch of the surrounding northern area. There a lots of arrows drawn over the map with no apparent rhyme or reason, criss-crossing in every direction. There a a few areas circled and a couple more starred and random Dwarvwen letters are almost as numerous as the arrows. Colberg begins muttering quietly to himself in Dwarvish, barely audible to those who listen, and tracing a few arrows.

Muttering Crazy Dwarf:
"I knew it, The witches be coming south, attacking the unprepared. Damn clever wenches. And from the sound of it nobody ain't know anything about it. It is surprising they are attacking guarded caravans."

Colberg looks up from his map at Jorgo jumping back into the conversation uninvited, "Hey big orc guy, you know where that lady was attacked?"

Colberg strolls down the street, snow crunching under his feet as he moves towards The Silver Stoat. How many years has it been since I been this far south? Has to be like 15 maybe even 20, it don't even get this cold up in the northern regions. Colbeg slows his pace and looks around for a second confused. He then turns back realizing he just passed The Silver Stoat.

"Ah, here we are. Time ta find out bout all this crazy thats been goin on." Colberg opens the door to the Tavern, looking about at all the people in here, looking for any witches in particular. He makes note of all the exits out of this room, just in case. The dwarf then walks over to the bar maid and stands up as tall as he can, interrupting anyone currently speaking and asks, "Aye, looks like winter come early this year, got any idea what could be the cause?"

Hello all,

Currently in Las Vegas, Nevada (UTC-8 as well)
I can easily get two posts a day for the weekdays, Saturdays are at least one, and Sundays are iffy, but I can get one though it might be short and simple.

Very excited to get my stubborn Dwarf in action, I'll have all the rest of him touched up tomorrow. (equipment and a better layout)

Sounds all good to me. Are we in the Silver Stoat now, or we haven't started yet?

@Sigrun It'll be tough with people who choose 20 pt buy. I'm working this out in my head still but I may ask you to choose 2 abilities and take a -2 to those in fairness...if you were chosen.

Actually those stats are rolled earlier in the thread. That is definitely not a 20 point buy. The character was made originally with 20pt but then was changed after the rolls were awesome, which makes me slightly jealous. Haha

Also any issues with Dwarf Ranger Colberg (which is a 20pt buy)? I don't think I will have be able to update him with anything else for the next few days (ie. more detailed back story, Kind of having writers block for this guy at the moment) but if you have any specific questions/issues I can certainly address them (and possibly unblock that writers block).

Here's a guy I have been wanting to play for a bit.

A short interview with the amazing Colberg (aka questions):

Hello Colberg, thank you for joining me here on this fine evening. Let's get things started quickly since you seem to want to get out of here quickly.

Aye, just ask yer questions, don't got all day for this

Most people are curious about your visiting habits around here. You appear randomly and stay for a week or two then you are off and away again. What is that all about?

Aye, well ya see, this place just got that natural draw to it. Can't really describe it. I get a bit homesick of it sometime and just gotta come back and check on all the folks. But after while I get homesick of the forest ya know, and then I gotta be off on my way again. Oh, and them witches ain't gonna be dying on their own either, they need a little help from me. Ha!

I see, speaking of traveling; what do you think about the variety of intelligent races around these parts?

Growin' up in these parts preps you fer all kinds of things, ya learn to deal with a variety of persons, there be many interesting ones you can meet. But, always, and when I say always I mean it, ALWAYS be careful about the unknown, ne'er know when they be bout to stab you in the back. That's why this eye (points to his right eye) always be looking round fer danger.

Hmmm, okay. Well what is it that you do exactly?

I hunt witches! E'eryone knows that, don't be silly.

Ahm, I meant more than that, like-

More? I go out into the forest, track, find, and kill witches. Ain't nothing more than that. They set clever traps sometimes and I gotta figure em out, but then when I do Myr (pats his falchion) comes out, he just loves when head roll.

*Clears throat* Okay, let's change the topic a bit now. What are your goals in life, where do you want to end up?

Kill ALL the witches! Gonna be a witch killin hero, that's where I'll end up. Now I'm done with yer stupid questions. Colberg gets up and storms out with a huff. Now that was a waste of my times. grumble grumble grumble.

Fluffy Ranger Colberg:

Colberg is very gruff and hates when people waste his time. When Colberg was younger he had a terrible encounter with a Witch who killed his pet wolf, Jagros. and now he is out to kill ALL the witches. This revenge has him traveling all over the Taldor and a bit of Irrisen. he loves to travel and he loves animals, especially wolves and likes to keep them as company, though he hasn't found one quite like Jagros.

He is a very cautious individual and takes his time when it comes to anything important, and hates when he is rushed for any reason. Though he is rough around the edges he has a great love of animals and anyone who shares that love will see a side of him they never thought existed.

After a while of drinking a very drunk Colberg gets up from his chair and stumbles his way over to the strange gnome with the trinkets. He slurs out a barely coherent sentence, swaying quite a bit, almsot as if he could fall over onto the gnome any second. "You look like you can have some fun. SING WITH ME!" He laughs very loud getting a bit of attention for it. Before the Gnome can really respond Colberg bursts out is song,

Gonna get up, an hunt
An find me some witches
Gonna get up, an hunt
Take em all down

They can run, they can hide
But I'm gonna find em
They won' know what hit em
Till their heads on the ground

He slurs through the words, but it is a lot more intelligible than he actual speaking voice... maybe it is just because he is louder now. As he is singing he makes his way about the tavern completely forgetting about the gnome and his companions at the table. He mumbles something and the repeats the same lines again, this time louder and less enunciated.

Gonna get up, an hunt
An find me some witches
Gonna get up, an hunt
Take em all down

They can run, they can hide
But I'm gonna find em
They won' know what hit em
Till their heads on the ground

Finally he makes his way over to the halfling at the bar talking to a few people. "Why you not singin wif me? You look like ya can have fun, aye." Colberg then collapses and nearly topples onto the poor halfling, he is knocked out cold.
