Have a birthday party to go to tonight. Wasn't gonna go because I wasn't feeling well yesterday. Turns out it was a gum infection which has now cleared up, so I'm going. :-)

Wrigley's or Big Red?

"June Cleaver" is taken, for some reason.

To clarify, the name "June Cleaver" is taken.

June Cleaver herself is very much available, if you catch my meaning.

I do not.

My pre-coffee brain sees neither punchline nor mention of laundry and is confused.

Blackberry cobbler sounds amazing, however.
I'm not at work, so the laundry I did last night was mine, which doesn't bother me. Also, surprisingly, not everything I say is a joke.

Lol! That is hilarious!!

I didn't have to go out for a snow run this morning and I've had a pretty relaxing day playing video games and reading RPG books and just finished taking a bath, so I'm also fine.

Impus Major and I were having a political debate and disagreeing as to whether or not taking advantage of the general public's ignorance could be classified as a "brilliant" strategy.

I described why it was, leading Impus Major to declare,
"Ah, yes. Stupidity. America's greatest natural resource."

I'll buy 3!

And yeah, I ended up having to turn off the GenCon thread. It was like watching a slow-moving freight train trundling towards the collapsed bridge over the ravine: Fascinating to watch while knowing what was in store, then turning away when the inevitable happened...

You are missing Gorbacz bringing it on!
OK. You made me look. Loves me some irascible Gorbacz.

That doesn't sound like Gorbacz.

Ok, not that bald.

More like get the electric trimmer and put on the comb thing
Don't do it! The ability to choose NOT to cut our hair is what seperates us from the beasts!
Too late. Its short now.

NOOOOOOOOOOOO

Ah well. I cannot look at Sypha in Castlevania and NOT think of Woran

Eh, its shorter then that.

Why would you do that to yourself.

Blink twice if this is a hostage situation.

I like having short hair. Its easy and its practical and long hair reminds me of a lot of insanely gendered things that were pushed on me when I was younger and grew up in a very relidgious region of the country.

Yeah, my mom was super into Tupperware too.

It's the end of the world as we know it.

And I feel fine.

Not a lot going on here tonight, you'd think it's some sort of holiday or something.

In other story news...

I asked this in FAWTL's Discord (invites on request!) but I'd like to get opinions here too. =)

I've been meaning to get started on working on one of my many story ideas, and I figure this weekend is as good as any.

So I'm gonna ask you guys. Which of the following stories sounds most interesting to you?

1 - a war heroine claws her way to prominence amidst distrust and betrayal while a monster from the dawn of time wakes to ravage the land

2 - the story of a fallen villain's redemption and a continent wide conspiracy lost to her burned away memory

3 - a Nature vs Technology story with a few unusual twists

4 - a tale of an impending apocalypse at the hands of a scheming kobold

5 - a story of a group of heroes who defined the landscape of their homeland with their impact on history

3 but only if nature wins.

Hey, guys! I think the moss that grew on the walls of the forum since forever grew sentient!

And now it gets all philosophical and asks existential questions...

I imagine extratesties would warrant a few follow up questions, I'm not sure what's so philosophical about it though, unless the question is "what came first, the testies, or the extratesties".

Seriously? Seriously?

Honestly, the way you keep going on, I was expecting something like this.

There is nothing wrong with your shape. You look fantastic.

Seconded, you look fine. Heck you have the same build as my GF, you're just a bit taller.

I'm confused, where's Mort? All I see is some hot Asian girl, where's the cat?

Red Wine is red!

Then what the hell have I been drinking!!

Looks down at the plastic container with Antifreeze blacked out and "100% authentic Red Wine" written in.

Dang it! Not again!!

What I'd as a plot twist, it turns out John kidnapped himself and didn't even realize it.

He'll never see it coming!

Pea Bear never really got into MLP (despite her love for and desire to be a horse) so I've never actually seen it, ever.
I turned it on just to see what the big deal was, and it was decent enough for me to continue with. I will admit, "watching" it mainly meant having it on in the background while I did other things, so I wasn't paying the closest of attention, but I think I got the gist of it.

I hardly think you can get the gist of a cartoon without paying close attention to it.

Hmm, I seem to remember something important going on today.

Starfinder hasn't shipped yet, so it's not that.

I gotta work tonight, but that's not important.

Oh well, whatever it was it couldn't have been that important.

Is today the day that you send me the $37,073.24 that you don't owe me?

But I gave that to Sharoth to give to you! "I'm going right over, I'll just take it for you, small bills will do" he said!!

You'll just have to take it up with him. :-)

Did you read both books?
The Long Dark Tea-Time of the Soul was a bit less odd.

It helps to understand the first book a bit to know that it was actually a failed plotline for Doctor Who, back when Adams was a writer for the show. When it didn't work out, he changed a few things and turned it into a novel instead.

After double-checking with my bookshelf, yes I have read Long Dark Tea-Time of the Soul. It is, in fact the only one I have. Which means it is possible I haven't read the first, although I'm pretty sure I have. But now whenever I try to think of the plot, all I come up with is "Wait, that's from the second book." So now I'm not sure if I have actually read the first one or not.

The second one is still plenty weird, though.

Writing weird books doesn't sound like Douglas Adams.
