Oh is this where we're rabble-rousing now? It's been ages since we had a good rabble! Rabble rabble rabble!

I heard you guys had a huge one day jump.

So many people are going to die, between things like this, governors in Iowa and Texas and no doubt elsewhere saying if you DON'T return to work when they reopen that's a "voluntary quit" and you lose all unemployment benefits, and the attorney general threatening to sue states that don't reopen.

Can we just cancel this country and put California in charge? Just for a bit? They seem to have their heads on straight for this thing at least.

Clothes are staying on for this one.

There are no words to encapsulate my rage.
My boss and I got into it yesterday on the SAH issue, and I had to literally tell him "I'm done talking about this because I'm getting angry at you, and I don't want to be angry with you." He's one of those conservatives just itching to blithely sacrifice us all to the idol of feral capitalism -- he literally said "I don't care how many people die."

Must sacrifice to the Bull. Must sacrifice to the Line.

Must sacrifice to The Bull.

Must sacrifice to The Line.

entirely possible.

She was extremely unpopular in some circles.

Which time? Or both? He ran in 88 with the other 6 dwarves - sleepy, dopey, doc, sneezy and I forget the rest.

I was thinking vs. Dubya, but, yeah, it would have been just as, or more, applicable back then. But no one really took him seriously in 88. Just another privileged white boy who thought rolling up his shirt sleeves for stump speeches made him look like a populist.

You know, the proto-Beto.

INCOMING!

By Jove, this sounds familiar.... *gazes off into the political distance*

Come one, come all, old aliases no longer seeing use due to lost PbPs, abandoned concepts, outdated jokes, vanished forumites, and changing community policies. Come and kick up your feet, lean back in a squeaky old rocking chair, and sip some old fashioned lemonade, and let's reminisce in a completely forum-legal and appropriate manner about the Old Days, how's that sound old chaps?

Ah, I'm really enjoying my colleague's Lawful nature, but I'm going to pay for it tomorrow.

So, I work for a Global Megacorporation. Due to their refusal to fire anyone, no matter how incompetent, we have to deal with staggeringly-stupid people on a daily basis. In particular, before a course is released, it goes through final testing. If it doesn't work in final testing, its release has to be delayed.

So people in other departments took to just putting in comments like, "Well, this section doesn't work, but we need to get the course out on time so I'm going to pass it anyway."
Needless to say, this led to disasters and student satisfaction issues.

So upper management, in its infinite wisdom, mandated that during this testing, if a lab receives any comments at all it must automatically fail. I'm really enjoying watching my colleague fail my practices with comments such as, "As of this release, they changed the name from xxx to yyy", or my favorite, "Change 'for' to 'nor'."

So tomorrow morning, my manager is going to hear that 22 of my 28 labs failed. She will explode. When she hears why, she will be furious. But he's following instructions to the letter, and I figure who am I to stop him?

Remember kids! If you read a dictionary you can recycle your same tired argument over and over again.

Oh, are we up for a scrap, old bean?

I say.

I say, old bean, it's been a bloody long time since we've had a good scrap, ho ho. Cheerio!

Scandalous!

Feel the hatred! Feel the strife! By Jove, feel the anger! Wot, wot!

Denial only fuels the fires of conspiracy, old bean. The idea's been planted, they'll naught to turn loose of it now.

I say dear fellow. None of that conspiracy rabble in here, confound it. You'll stir up the tabloids and then by Jove we'll never be free of the paparazzi.

At last! We've found our true home, chaps!

And since we're mere animated weapons, we don't need to make a fuss about that pesky soul business, wot wot!

I say! Not in public young man!

Well I never!
